PJ's Bar & Grill - Covent GardenOur favourite place to eat.PJ's is rapidly becoming a habit! We dined again last Saturday and again we had a fantastic night. The food is always great, with a sizeable but not over the top menu to choose from. We've had numerous staff serve us and every time they have been knowledgable and really good fun when we've chatted. As always PJ's has a tremendous ambience with a good mix of clientele, some as groups, some as couples but always lively without being rowdy. Service was friendly, but not intrusive. We all enjoyed the food (both veggie and non-veggie alike), and it was all very well presented. My only complaint would be that the portions were too huge! Apart from that one concern we really enjoyed our visit. The restaurant has a very 'buzzy' and relaxed atmosphere. the service was very good and. I had the chorizo scotch egg as a starter and I have to say it was a true experience the flavour was wonderful. the size of the homemade burgers being served looked large and mouth watering. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the lemon sole, both were very good the waitress actually caught me with a bone in my mouth.
From the outside PJ's looks an ordinary run of the mill restaurant, but once inside it is a very good, enjoyable place in an excellent location with good food and atmosphere. Good choice of food, as were able to cater for all adults plus a 15 year old, price turned out to be reasonable as well as most of the meals we happened to choose came as part of the pre-theatre menu. Waitress paid us a lot of attention even though the restuarant was quite busy and food all came in good time.

The location is great, super convenient. When we arrived a little early our table wasn't ready yet, and still wasn't ready by the time it should have been. We mentioned this to the staff and they brought us all a prosecco on the house! The deal (50% off food if 2 courses ordered) was perfect and great value for money. We were supremely impressed with the quality and tastiness of the food. One of us was unsaftisfied by the amount of meat on her pork belly, and they replaced it swiftly with a delicious rack of lamb with absolutely no fuss.
