Sadly the staff are stuffy and pretentious and tend to look down their noses at you - not all of them of course, but the ladies who run the reception desk are most certainly snobby.

Our Italian waiter was WONDERFUL, the right mix of engaging, knoweldgeable and fabulous. The food is fantastic and you don't have to have pizza, the boards of meat/cheese are such brilliant value at 3 items for £12 and its a huge portion, that coupled with the ridiculously good garlic bread was perfect. It is excellent value, staff fabulous and atmorsphere buzzing. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It turns out that Italian Wines are terrible even though you will pay in the range of £25 to £29 . it will all taste the same, If you are after a sour ,no flavor wine go for it. but it is not for me , I have had better £10 French wine from tesco. A bit disappointing for such a nice restaurant to have very bland ,sour tasting wines. Other than that one small criticism is the way wine is being served, you will get your wine in a small water glass , be aware of it . It must be the Italian country-side stye I guess . Pizzas great and interesting salads. We shared a mix of the two between our table. Also shared the doughnuts and salted caramel tart both yummy. Doughnuts big helping for one and tart really rich so glad we shared.

The pizzas are excellent and innovative with lovely bases, thin ish and crispy. They don't hold back on the garlic on the garlic bread too which in my book, gets a big old tick. Service is always good and turn around swift. It's always busy and quite buzzy, so not the kinda place to go for a quiet date. The bill is never very cheap but good value for money, well I wouldn't go back so often if it weren't. Good choice of non pizza options too with a fairly extensive wine list.
