Diner Reviews
  • "The food is excellent with fresh fish specials. I had a simple baked sea bass served off the bone. Staff are great. Warm friendly and fab with kids."

  • "Booked for pre Christmas lunch with my father in law. Got two of the three orders wrong and mine a margherita pizza whilst tasty was barely warm. Waited 15minutes to be asked whether we wanted a dessert and decided we would be better going elsewhere. Main problem is the staff who have the American problem of saying all the right things but then not doing them. The following day we went to Arighi Bianchi in Macclesfield and had the dining experience would should have had at Piccolino's. We'll worth the drive or use one of the other many good restaurants in Knutsford I know we will."

  • "Shopping in Knutsford with my daughter and grandson was made even more pleasurable with a break for lunch at Piccolinos. High chair was instantly produced and whilst we perused the menu a child's portion of spag bol arrived. It must have been good, the 7 month old, sucked his way through 1/2 of it, followed by a blob of ice cream. Our food was equally as good and plentiful. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and we were out within the hour. Definitel one to return to."

  • "Service was a bit non commital - I didnt think the waiters were particularly engaging. Food was pretty average. As a group of 4 we all had calamari to start with. Two of my dining partners thought it a little rubbery but everybody still polished off their plates. Mains were good especially the crab linguine but the waiter really failed to point that the veal came with no vegetables. The prawn linguine was 'swimming in butter' and so most of it was left. Whilst we didn't want to order anything else the waiter should have asked out of courtesy if there was a problem but he simply whisked it away. We have had both better service and food here before so it was a shame that on this occasion it was a bit of an anti climax to the end of our day"

  • "Food good but very expensive if you want anything in addition to the main course and I mean anything. Too many tables crowded together - being bumped every time any waiter went past - very noisy as a result of overcrowding. 5* prices and 3* ambiance"

  • "It's been a while since we have been to piccolino's and whilst the standard of food is still excellent we found the prices extremely high. We would have happily paid these prices for an evening meal, but this was Sunday lunchtime and the place was full of children and babies - felt like I was sitting in a macdonalds. We will not be returning here again for Sunday lunch but may give it a whirl one evening with friends."

  • "Good pasta dishes. Troffiete with chicken, pinenuts and parmesan cream was very tasty. Very quiet when visited on Monday night. Have visited on Saturday night when it gets very noisy, Service good and attentive."

  • "Very good restaurant but they are adding a 10% service fee without informing you. I feel that this is pocket picking and don't like it."

  • "Piccolino in Knutsford has to compete with lots of other restaurants but what separates it from the competition is the quality of the food, varied Italian fare which is well prepared and delicious."
