Pho Great Titchfield StreetA simple healthy fixSo it wasn't the best Vietnamese out there with everything could have done with improvement like the blandness and one noted flavoured broth in the Pho, flavour in the grilled meat & the slightly salty nuoc nam but better than most Vietnamese out there. Everything was edible, generously portioned and to be honest with 50% off it was better than fine. On the high note, meat was tender, vegetables were fresh, nuoc nam and broth wasn't sweetened like some non authentic Vietnamese and a very convenient location. Definitely all very healthy and I would go again.26/10/2012 00:00:00trex saysDelicious main course and amazing dessert. Different from other Asian food. Well worth a visit or two. Very affordable.05/10/2012 00:00:00great PhoI think this is fantastic value with the top table offer...the drinks add to the bill...but the food is delicious and healthy!25/09/2012 00:00:00Dinner with 3 friendsWe were two guys and two girls. The restaurant as such is a bit small but I guess that adds to the street food experience. We shared two starters and all had a main and shared a bottle of wine and it came out at around £15 per person. So excellent value for money and the food was very tasty too! Recommend.18/09/2012 16:00:00great value for moneyfood is very good and excellent value for money. a place to rather grab a quick bite than proper sitdown dinner on a weekend. not much choice of food in terms of different types - mainly noodle dishes15/09/2012 00:00:00Wow!!This was my first Vietnamese dining experience and must say it was absolutely awesome! Someone who also likes the Thai cuisine will also like Vietnamese.
The service was very friendly and attentive.
I shared the starter (traditional Vietnamese crepe filled with chicken and prawns) with my friend as it was quite big and as a main had a Vietnamese chicken curry. Both meals were outstanding and I can only recommend this restaurant.14/09/2012 00:00:00A good attempt for a Vietnamese fixWas pleasantly surprised with Pho as I have a Vietnamese background. Nuoc mam was spot on (not too salty or sweet) making our lotus stem salad and Bun very enjoyable & perfect in taste. Pho broth was very bland & noodles weren't of the best but that was to be expected for a quick fix restaurant. However most disappointing were the spring rolls with the skin too thick making it more chewy than it should be. Still everything was edible & I rather have bland than salty. Portions were generous for the salad & the bun. Lemongrass meatballs were fragrant and succulent although more lettuce could have came with it for sharing. Service was fine & although packed, food came very quickly. A nice self service for the sauces & food location & decor.12/09/2012 00:00:00
