Difficult to get the attention of a waiter. And more suited to a mature crowd.
Everything was just delicious! Couldn't fault it really. Outstanding quality and flavours.

Outstanding. We had a long, slow lunch, of the tasting menu with wine pairing. Fabulous food, fabulous wine, superb and friendly service. We have this kind of meal fairly often, and this was up there with the best.
Signature Dish let down
My husband and I thought it was a bit stiff to charge an extra £15a head for the beef wellington but had heard it was what Petrus was famous for. Whilst the beef was exceptional the pastry was flat and soggy and the pate tasteless. We skipped dessert and shared a plate of cheese and I wasn't surprised we were still charged for dessert and the extra £10 for cheese. The service however could not have been improved upon.
The staff made the experience
We went on my wife's birthday as a seriously special occasion. Petrus is usually way out of our budget but I'd saved for a couple of months! The staff were incredibly accommodating as we were obviously out of our depth and there was no sign of snobbery when we stuck to the house wine (prepare to budget big time for a bottle of red!). The tasting menu was sublime and was altogether a great night topped off with a little cake provided by the chef for my wife. Can't fault the staff one bit. Thanks for a lovely night. (One slight gripe - an optional 12.5% service charge isn't optional if it's added directly to the bill!)
A meal to enthrall
As our first visit to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, we thought we would see what the chef was capable of. He did not disappoint. The accompanying matching wines were well chosen and for the most part pleased. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience which will long remain in the memory

Not sure what it only has a one star! Deserving of a two. One of ramsay's better restaurants. Will be back for sure! The scallop, foie gras and short rib were exceptional!
Beautiful food served superbly. Pricey for drinks but an all round lovely experience.
Delicious, but the service was slightly off
We have eaten at Petrus on several occasions - and we always enjoy the food. Last night was no exception - the pork was delicious, the scallops were cooked perfectly and the chocolate tower was exquisite. However, I am always slightly amazed at how Petrus tends to consistently miss the mark when it comes to their service. There are long gaps between courses, where you are seemingly ignored by the staff, and bizarrely, they seem loathe to give you a check. I had to ask for it twice last night. We love the décor and the food, but they really need to improve their service.
My favourite restaurant in London
I love this place. I've been there twice now and both times the food was amazing and the staff are just so friendly and polite. They are very attentive and very helpful. I had a gift voucher and they were very efficient sorting out the bill. I was worried I'd feel a bit inferior as it is not my usual price budget but you feel right at home and are made to feel special no matter who you are. The house champagne by the glass was lovely, as were the free little courses they give. They event presented me with a little birthday candle, which was sweet of them. Highly recommend this place as a treat.

Fantastic impeccable service with a very knowledgeable sommelier who had a lot of patience with my husband! Food outstanding.
What a rip off!
Food far too rich. Service very annoying. Restaurant half empty. Not surprising when the prices are only for Oligarchs! £556.00 for 2 people is obscene.
Having tried restaurant gordon ramsay last year, we decided to try another one in the group for my birthday this year. Petrus did not disappoint! Overall, a great experience, outstanding food and amazing service. Will definitely recommend and return.

The service was hazardous, the scallop way overcooked, the party left most of the main course untouched due to its inferior quality. If this was a kitchen - it's definitely Hell's Kitchen
Love Love LOVE
Exceptional food! lives up to expectations and then some!
We visited Petrus on a recommendation from a friend as it was our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a surprise for my husband and we traveled from Liverpool especially. I was so pleased that it didn't disappoint in any way and helped make the day very special. The food was amazing, service impeccable and the bill was quite reasonable (for a special occasion!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Great wine selection and attention to detail
Lovely restaurant typically of the quality you would expect from Gordan Ramsey. Food, service and wine was great. Was quite expensive compared to some tasting style menus but you get what you pay for.
Great food but far too expensive
We chose the £95 tasting menu which was delicious, no doubt, but I have been elsewhere and paid less for that sort of food - perhaps even food that was better! I think one of my key issues with the menu is that you can't have two courses. You either have 3 of your choice for £75 or go with the £95 tasting menu. Seems a bit weird. The staff were great and really attentive. They swapped out dessert for us which we really appreciated. There was zero atmosphere which was disappointing. It was a pleasant meal and I'm glad I went, but I probably wouldn't go back.
Excellent tasting menu and wine selection to accompany it. Save this place for special occasions though as the bill was eye-watering! Service mostly very good but attentiveness dropped off towards the end when we had finished eating. All in all Petrus gave us a very enjoyable evening.
Petrus has changed. Service lacked the characteristic Ramsey polish that was once ever present at this place. In fact the staff seemed quite disorganised and unable to run the operation. We have dined here on many occasions. It is not the same. Food was ok but not by any means memorable (other than for being a disappointment). It is a shame. This was once a wonderful experience. Now it's just ok.
Petrus is lovely. Nice venue, fantastic staff who are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Food was very tasty too.
Super service and excellent cooking, with plentiful use of vegetables. The champagne and wines by the glass were excellent too. Only real reservation was the restricted options provided by the lunch menu; we actually ate far better than the menu read - but it adds a level of consternation at the start that shouldn't happen.
Been to many top restaurants but this was the best yet. The staff made it friendly and the food was amazing. 5 stars all round.
Friday night dinner
Petrus had a formal atmosphere and the hushed, reverential tones of a restaurant where people are parting with a lot of cash. The decor is plush but somewhat reminiscent of a hotel dining room. The food was very nice but some dishes felt perhaps contrived to justify a michelin star, rather than being unambiguously delicious, celebratory food. High points were the short rib of beef and the foie gras.
dinner par excellence
A superb dining experience. Warm welcome by all staff. Excellent meal ,very well presented. Impeccable service, with staff cheerful and courteous and good explanation of the contents of the various courses. Definitely one of the best dining experiences.

Excellent a superb dining experience second to non and worth every penny we could not fault it
The best meal I've had in London in years!
Petrus is chique but not too formal. The interior decoration absorbs much of the other patrons conversations so it keeps noise levels down and you can still have a proper chat. The waiters and sommelier are all highly trained and available when you need them and wine glasses seem to be filled up invisibly. The food was an absolute delight. Real food served beautifully. We will definitely go again and we won't need a special occasion to do so!
Special place for special occasion!
Lovely food especially vegetarian. Great ambience, courteous staff and must repeat.
The food was clearly labour intensive and the first course of quail was particularly good, but overall I found it over complicated, and the tasting menu wasn't balanced. A good tasting menu should leave you eager for the next course, but the early dishes were too rich and there was nothing to act as a palette cleanser. Sadly, the restaurant also lacked atmosphere - with the big wine store in the middle I was on one side with a view of three neighbouring tables and some blinds on to the street. The service was mixed - the sommelier was very good, but the maitre'd was off-hand and the food was served by different people, sometimes placed down and others slammed down. Petrus is expensive - not compared to other Michellin starred restaurants particularly, but if you want to charge those prices everything needs to be spot on. It wasn't.
Fabulous eating experience
This was a real treat. We chose the lunch menu and were not disappointed by the choice or quality of the food. Wine rather expensive but again good quality. Excellent service and clean calm surroundings. Good choice for a celebration meal

All good - book with confidence. Space in which to dine, excellent service. Recommended!
What a totaly awesome experience, recommended
From the moment we walked in the door, we were well looked after. As a couple, we were sat at an angle to the wall, so we could speak to each other, the waiters and see everything going on. All of our dishes were carefully explained, truly well presented to every detail. The service was prompt, caring and very interactive, not at all stuffy, making this a relaxed, but refined dining experience for the money being spent. In fact nothing was rushed or too slow, we could only get an early table and thought we would have too much of the evening left, but a 3 course meal took 2 comfortable hours, with all the little extra touches we were treated too. This is obviously not an everyday meal out, but we would save up again. I would say it is one of those that you sort of look at the plates and think there is not much there, but everything is well balanced and we wasted nothing, feeling truly full and very satisfied at the end of the meal. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND
Birthday early dinner
Lovely 3 course meal. Every detail was perfect and beautiful. Thank you
Best dining experience
Whilst staying in London for a short break my wife and myself dined at Petrus on 30th June. We would rate it the best restaurant we have eaten at over the last twenty years. Every course in their taster menu we would recommend . The ambience and seating within the restaurant is very well done and all the staff were very attentive and welcoming. It is also good not to have any time limit imposed on us whilst we were dining.
Lunch at Petrus
I had lunch at Petrus on Monday with a few friends. We had a lovely lunch, food was great and service perfect.
Had a wonderful lunch. For a special occasion this restaurant is a lovely place to come to. I would very much recommend it
Took my Wife here for a special birthday dinner. We both loved it. Stunning food in a most modern classy setting. Service standards second to none, with every course explained in detail. Both had the tasting menu which was full of the most incredible depth of flavours. Enjoyed every moment of our dining experience.
Well we were very disappointed in our meal at Petrus. We have recently dined in Five Fields and The Westbury and the food here doesn't come close to the very high standards of those restaurants. It was all very lack lustre. Even the wine flight which was described with great enthusiasm by the sommelier was disappointing. When you are paying these very high prices and with some amazing competition out there Petrus really need to raise there game. Perhaps Mr Ramsey could advise.

the most amazing meal I have had, from the moment you step through the door it all starts, restaurant seating is set so you feel in your own space, the attention to service was amazing they could anticipate when you were ready for your next course and the food was to die for can't fault a thing
