  • "Booked lunch Good Friday food was excellent and nice little surprises between courses Spent 3 hours just the two of us and the time flew by means we were more than happy At the end we were invited to the kitchens which was a nice touch no one else were I guess the wine waiter liked us Apart from the food being excellent some great wines and had a lovely Louis X111 Remy with our coffee bit pricey but worth every penny Never had a bad meal at any Gordon Ramsey Restaurant possible Royal Hospital road a tad better for service but certainly would recommend For the experience Gordon's places def better than Heston !!"

  • "My only disappointment in the meal was that it took a rather long time to get through three courses. The time in between each course was a too long where the customer was left just sitting and waiting. It took us about 3.5 hours to get through a three course meal. It made for a long and late evening. It is unnecessary to have such long gaps and lay time between each course. It was a bit frustrating and made it difficult to enjoy the food as we got restless between each course."

I have loved the leeks with trouffles, the skate and the white chocolate parfait, morover the scenic special effect of the chocolare sphere. The price is high but correct compared with the food and service that the restaurant offers."

  • "The was outstanding, but what really did it for us was all the little surprises and these small tasters that we got in between our meals. We had the three course meal but ended up with around 6-7. We had read about this dessert called "the chocolate sphere" and we know now what the fuss was about! Don't leave without trying that."

  • "We decided to try Petrus for our 25th wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in we felt we had our own personal attendant and never felt we had to share him with another table. The food was simply amazing, from the delicious bread to the gorgeous desserts. At the end of the meal the chef sent a special treat to us as a way of saying happy anniversary...it was very special to us as it was white chocolate and we had shavings of white chocolate on our wedding cake so it was the perfect finishing touch to a beautiful meal and a special evening. We would definitely recommend Petrus."

  • "I took my best friend to Petrus for a belated birthday celebration gift. We entered and were met by 2 persons, 1 who greeted us graciously, the other to take our coats. We were escorted to our seats and the event began as if being at the theatre. Each course was presented lovingly with an anticipation of hope that we would enjoy our respective courses. The interaction between us and the staff was light and refreshing. We were allowed to take our times during each course to talk and enjoy the moment, at no time feeling rushed. We ended our time the same way we entered; with a feeling of thank you, "come again" and wishes of a nice afternoon. It was slightly expensive, but oh did we enjoy ourselves! We will be going again."

  • "First but not our last visit to this amazing restaurant. You are spoilt from the moment you arrive, the attention to detail is wonderful, the service just so but discreet and the food will totally blow you away. My wife and I opted for the tasting menu and the accompanying flight of wines - don't be put off by the extra cost as you get to drink some fine wines which are expertly matched to your menu, each wine is introduced and explained and the added touch of individually printed menus detailing the wines was a very nice touch. What would I recommend? Easy! If you enjoy excellent food, fine wine and superb service simple get yourself down there now!! Would we go back? Flipping right we would!!"

  • "Beautiful dining room but lack of genuine service. It was robotic and cold. No one cared to explain the menu or check in. When we asked about getting an extra course, the server abruptly ended the conversation by saying she had to ask the Chef. One of the numerous servers simply placed something on our table, mumbled a quick "happy anniversary" WHILE she looked across at another table and walked away. We felt so insulted by the lack of care we were shown. I have eaten out in many countries, and this is by far, my worst dining experience. I would not eat at Petrus again even if someone paid me to. Go to Dinner by H. Blumenthal or Hibiscus.They care about their guests, something that was conspicuously absent in Petrus' dining room."

  • "Went on 29/03/14 had a superb meal, great theatrical service, dishes were big portioned even though we were on Set Menu for lunch. Suckling Pig dish (main) was great, i asked for more gravy sauce for main - no problem, asked for more bread - no probs! Great price for michellin food. will be back!! Quilon Michellin Restaurant was the highlight though..."

  • "I booked a celebration meal for myself & my husband, as our birthdays are close together. The service was really good, charming staff, very attentive. The food was fine, but not any better than we have had in many other good restaurants, none of which had a Michelin star. Maybe I was expecting too much. My starter was great, white asparagus, crispy chicken & morels in a lovely sauce. I had duck for my main, which had a rather rubbery skin, & the lettuce leaves with sauce poured over did not work for me. My husband had a crab starter, good but tiny, followed by ox cheek, apparently quite nice but not special. My dessert of millefeuille was nice, my husband really liked his coconut soufflé & pineapple sorbet. Good but not amazing."

  • "6 of us went to celebrate my wife's birthday and although we only went for the standard lunch menu we all found something in the selection that we could choose and it was all really good food. Made all the better by little touches of 2 flavours of savoury popcorn before we ordered, a little "amuse bouche" between courses and little balls of ice cream before coffee. They even gave the ladies a little cake as we left."

They also bought out a special birthday desert which was lovely. We literally had to roll out of the restaurant, would love to go again- found the price for the food quite reasonable for the type of 'high-end dining' but the wine list was very exhaustive and pricey."

  • "This was my first Gordon Ramsey experience and I have to say, it was very good but not amazing. We were shown to our table by the maître d’, who returned five minutes later to ask if we’d like an aperitif. When informed that we’d prefer a glass of water he actually rolled his eyes. The service from the rest of the staff was actually pretty good and the food was of a very high standard (as you’d expect) but the omnipotent smugness of the maître d’ did somewhat overshadow what would have otherwise been a very pleasant experience in some very plush surroundings. However, if you’re going anytime soon, I’d recommend the lobster & salmon raviolo as a starter….and apparently the scallops were fantastic!"

From the canapés to the coffee & chocolates, every course was a mouthwatering explosion of taste. The staff were so attentive without being obtrusive and so friendly and helpful. We were able to go down to the kitchen and meet the chefs which was a really nice end to a wonderful evening. When we are next in London we will definitely be back at Petrus."

  • "We dined at Petrus for my husbands Birthday, the food was gorgeous, the extra courses we weren't expecting we're a lovely touch and the service was fantastic, the staff were really friendly and happy to chat to us. The atmosphere was fine, there seemed to be a lot of business groups around and not many couples but that was fine. We opted for the 3 course a la carte menu and actually ended up having about 7 courses with all the extras the brought. The pork belly I had was amazing and my husband loved his scallops and mutton."
