The trio of lobster to start was sublime - 3 different textures and flavours but each one complimented the other. I had duck for mains which was so tender and full of flavour. The star of the plate was the duck bon-bon, I could have eaten a plate of these on their own. I would love to describe the bon-bon but I wouldn't do it justice. Just go and taste it for yourself, it's well worth it.
The service was friendly and complimented the fantastic food. This place is by far the best food in Cardiff and I can't wait for my next visit.28/03/2013 00:00:00Satisfied customersWe chose to have the matched wines with the 7 course taster menu, This proved to be an inspired choice as each of the 5 wines brought out the best of the food. I particularly recommend the "Cigar" red and the Ardbeg whisky with the optional cheeseboard. Five times we have visited the Park house Club, we have always left with a smile on our faces.

Both times on a voucher offer which made it excellent value however we will visit again as the experience of tasting sample of fantastic dishes some with an unusual twist to traditional fare. I was a member when living in Cardiff, and was thrilled to know that I could book a table at the beautiful Burgess Restaurant. The food was as usual excellent. The menu was set for Mothers Day but there were plenty of choices.
The waiters were attentive and knowledgeable. My one criticism would be the service was a little slow, which would have been great for me - a slow eater normally but we had a 3 year old in our group and he became a little bored waiting for the courses to be served.10/03/2013 00:00:00SuperbSuperb place to eat. Unfortunately due to a private function we were not able to use the Vanilla Rooms. This is an importent part of our dinning experience as we live outside of Cardiff and looyk forward to making a night of it. It in no way took away the food and quality but we were not offered a pre dinner gin or other appetitive. This was a shame given the huge selection available.09/02/2013 00:00:00DKC58Only the day after I lunched in the Park House restaurant it won the award for the best restaurant in Cardiff. That sums it up really. It is a quality act with the reference chef being Michelin starred. It has both a classy and romantic setting in a grade 1 listed building. It isn't hard to see why it won the award for best restaurant.
Disability access is non existent. It never will be cheap but quality never is. We had a really nice and romantic dinner.27/12/2012 16:00:00OutstandingHaving been fortunate to visit many michelin rated restaurants around the UK it can only be a matter of time before the Park House joins that illustrious group. From entering the restaurant to leaving the whole experience was superb in terms of the ambience, the service and the food. The addition of the pianist/singer throughout the evening further enhanced the experience, he was very talented and while the music was loud enough to enjoy it did not spoil the art of conversation. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if you can go on a Friday or Saturday when the pianist is in residence even better.07/07/2012 00:00:00
