Superb new menu too11/05/2013 00:00:00Sunday Lunch 5 May 2013We took my wife's 87 year old brother who can walk only with a frame. However, we were shown to a table which he could easily sit at. The beef and chicken were both very good and the waiter was attentive and helpful. The meal was enjoyable and good value. One of the major features of Osborne View is the view itself.05/05/2013 00:00:00Great mealWe had a birthday evening meal, on the Sunday before Bank Holiday Monday. The food was super, well cooked and tasty. Menu has a great range - with small dishes and large dishes of some favourites; this meant Grandma and Grandad could not feel they were wasting food if they couldn't eat it all!
Negatives - very busy, very noisy - we were upstairs, I think it maybe better downstairs. Great window seat to watch the sunset with great service from Jemma who looked like she was the only member of staff at one point.
The food was varied in that it was fabulous, however, a burger was requested without a bun but with onion rings- received a bun but no rings.(was offered free fries to make up for the loss of the onion rings but already had fries so declined) Gammon steak appeared without peas but all in all what did arrive tasted very good.

It may look like a small place from the outside, but when you step in, it is like the Tardis. You are greeting by genuine smiles and a warm welcome. The view is outstanding and the service is second to none. This is one of my favourite pubs in the UK. The food you can tell is made by chefs who take pride in their work. It was a wonderful sunny day and everything about the meal was good. The waiter was helpful and gave us timely service. The cost was mid range but the quality of the food made it worth it. All of the food was fresh, hot, tasty and ample portions. The range of the menu is good, something for everyone! Service with more than a smile, a sincere pleasant chat and attention to details written in the reservation's book – the special welcome for mum on her 90th birthday and a candle to finish the meal was especially appreciated.

Thank-you for an enjoyable meal.17/02/2013 00:00:00Brilliant birthday mealAfter seeing mixed reviews about this restaurant I decided to take a gamble and arrange for a group of 8 of us to have my father birthday meal. We all had a variety of different meals. They took about 10 minutes from ordering to serving and the staff were very attentive. The only things I would say to stay away from is their ale, it's flat and stale (I didn't try any but everyone else on the table agreed its not very nice) I had a roast beef and have to say that their roast potatoes are the best I've eaten in a pub/ restaurant however their beef is a bit chewy and could do with being served with a steak knife.

The food was extremely tasty. The portions look smaller because they are on a huge plate but portion size is adequate. The waiters were exceptional. Friendly and helpful and very attentive, even when the place filled up fast.....they remained calm.
