  We live nearly 2hrs drive from The White Horse but for special occasions (sister- laws birthday last Sunday ) it was worth the effort. If its possible the food and menu gets better each time we visit. Due to the distance involved we don't visit as much as we'd like to, about 3 times a year but remarkably on every occasion we've bumped into someone we know so proving we are not the only ones prepared to travel. We stayed for a night on one occasion and to wake and open the curtains to that view, phew. Finally the staff are excellent and the range of beers also. Keep it up you guys and girls....More

  We visited Middleton's Steak House in Norwich on Sunday 19th May for my partner's birthday. I booked the table via Top Table and under special requests, asked for a nice table with a view mentioning we were coming for a birthday celebration. On arrival the waiter who checked us in immediately acknowledged to my partner that it was his birthday and showed us to a table downstairs by the window. All the restaurant staff were extremely attentive and couldn't have done enough for us. Food was delicious and tasty and the steaks amazing. My partner ordered ice cream for dessert which arrived in a bowl on a wooden board with Happy Birthday written in chocolate sauce, what a lovely touch! We will be returning for my 13 year olds birthday....More
