About Nobu - London
The menu at Nobu London, draws heavily on Matsuhisa's classic Japanese training as a sushi chef in Tokyo, as well as on South American influences gained during his extensive travels. The resulting "new style" Japanese cuisine has become both his trademark and the foundation of his success.
With its own street entrance on Old Park Lane, the 150 cover restaurant includes a separate sushi bar and enjoys commanding views across Hyde Park through full-height windows. Designed with simple elegance by United Designers, the interiors make subtle use of light woods and natural stone to reflect the diverse influences of Nobu's cuisine, incorporating the purity and quality materials inherent of traditional Japanese design.

Nobu - London Ratings and Reviews
Again an excellent dining experience
Nobu - London is one of my favourite Asian restaurants in London. Food is fantastic, drinks too. Service is always ready to help. The ambience is very lively and everybody enjoys.
loved the whole experience - great combinations of food and very knowledgeable staff to help us make the most appropriate choices for our party. Only thing that spoilt the lunch was a table of children and acoustically it can be very hard to hear each other. would probably choose to come of an evening
We had a table reserved for 1830, I was informed we had the table until 2100 but at 2015 we were rushed by our waiter to finish..... The overall bill we paid was over £800 for 6 people.... I do not expect to be pushed at that price. NOBU is an experience! Not a cafeteria meal.
With 4 of my friends we we arranged a weekend in London including diner at Nobu. When we arrived on friday the 20th of november at Nobu in Berkley Street is we were at the wrong Nobu. The staff was very friendly and arranged on the spot a table for 5 for us at Nobu, Berkley , with a big smile. Excellent food, friendly staff and excellent service, well done!
Over the top sushi over Hyde Park
As Nobu's go, London's on the Park is a step above. Well spaced tables, comfortable bar, amazing fish and service which is present but not pressing. Bring an appetite and park the armored truck out front - prices are steep.
a very expensive canteen
loved the food, all of it, black cod and sizzling beef stand out, the staff did a great job. our table was right at the end of the restaurant where the light is too bright, the sound too loud, and the air-conditioning was so good I was actually cold
Very good food, so-so service, expensive
Very good good food, so-so service and expensive sums it up.
took my husband to celebrate his birthday. clean and standard styling. had been highly recommended so was expecting great things. the steak was average, the tuna was nice. the portions were as anticipated but really not the special i was looking for. perfectly fine for an average luncheon or dinner.
Nice restaurant..with a classy feel. Will be back
Went for my wife's birthday and she was really impressed, that's all that matters 😜
At Nobu, we had a lovely bottle of Sance...
At Nobu, we had a lovely bottle of Sancerre, a selection of sushi and sashimi including the yellow tail sashimi with jalapeño, beef tenderloin tataki with ponzu and garlic chips and tuna tacos. For mains we had the signature black cod miso, which melts in your mouth! There was a great range of different desserts with a range of ingredients and all beautifully presented. We had the suntory whiskey cappuccino! All the food was simply to die for, I look forward to going back soon to try more off the menu. A lovely evening with great service.
Totally lived up to expectations
I would wholly recommend Nobus. My second visit and I'll return.
Lovely food and great service
First time at Nobu - it was a Sunday lunchtime . It was suitably posh and the food beautiful, the service impeccable. My only reservation was that it was quite noisy...we happened to have a loud group next to us, so maybe not for a quiet romantic dinner, but certainly an occasion.
Japan and Peru in fusion perfection
Combination of flavours - remarkable. Wagyu beef and truffles, tempura snow crab. Will anything else ever be able to compare?
Still great food, service not what it used to be
So yes, the food at Nobu is still great, although a bit overpriced. But the service is not up to level anymore. And what is really annoying me, is the terrible noise, people are either very loud, or the way the restaurant has been set up makes it too noisy, not a great place to have a conversation.
A+. Very tasty fish dishes. We had a great night.
This was our second visit and again we were impressed. Without unnecessary pretentiousness, without unnecessary luxury this stylish classy restaurant has one main goal - delicious food. Our waiter recommended us wonderful fish dishes, just like we wanted. In combination with the great Proseco - special and unforgettable dinner.Excellent. Would recommend definitely.
Great venue with friendly staff and wonderful food
The staff were very welcoming and seated us very quickly. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and helped us with our order in short time. Would definitely go again!
fresh sashimi, soft crab cut roll sushi is delicious! But California roll is not good. Tasty is ok, but not good value.
Wonderful location with the amazing view...
Wonderful location with the amazing views of London plus the sexiest clientele in London there was no way this would be a disappointing evening. The food was sublime and I highly recommend the lobster in wasabi creamy sauce. Our waiter was polite knowledgeable and approachable and deserved his high tip. The bill as expected for 2 was nearly £400 was it worth it for our special night it was but it did feel rather overpriced and decadent and almost made me feel guilty .
Average Food - Not Luxury Service
The food here was quite average. I have had far better at Dinings in Marylebone and even Roka - which I don't even think is that great. Our booking was for 2.30pm - close to the end of lunch service. I felt rushed to order and could sense the waitress' frustration at our indecisiveness - as a customer I shouldn't have been able to detect this, after all, it is her job and it isn't like we were the ones that arrived late - we actually had to wait around 15 minutes for our table to be ready. There were crumbs on the table and also missing chop sticks. We were offered edemame when seated, which was forgotten about. When you're paying £200 for a quick lunch (not including alcohol) the standards of service and food should be exceptional, unfortunately it was not. I would not recommend Nobu Park Lane and certainly will not be going back there.
Friendly relaxed and welcoming
I have no idea what the head waiter was shouting upon our entrance some karmaish mantra... Nevertheless our waiters were friendly and welcoming. The food was good (my remembrance of it was better though... might have dropped a few notches...). We ate well and were well catered for. The staff did not expel a nuisance of a Spanish speaking customer playing "bagpipe", yes you heard it well music on his phone... why not? All in all a good experience... whether it was worth the money... well I would not be able to tell really. Food was good, ambiance ok, service excellent but not earth shattering.
A foodie way to start the week
A business lunch on a Monday is always a difficult thing to do. Nobu provides good service and food to wash away the Monday blues. I don't think the food is as good as it used to be and have to say I prefer the Mayfair restaurant.
While the food was very good it was not enough to makeup for the frosty service and lack of ambience and space, leaving us feeling quite underwhelmed at the whole experience. We were seated just inches away from diners on either side so feeling very crowded and twice had the waitresses rear on our table as she squeezed in to speak to the other diners. We also felt rushed throughout the experience as if the key priority for the waitress was to move us on so the table could be turned over and this definitely did not justifty the service charge. On the other hand though the food was lovely, we had a selection from around the menu and everything we ate was great, especially the sushi rolls and soft shell crab. Having eaten at Roka, Tsunami and Oka previously for overall experience sadly Nobu comes at the bottom of the pile.
50th birthday celebration
Amazing food, nothing too much trouble for the waiter. Food was exceptional quality. Had a lovely table at the edge of the restaurant. Will definitely be back next time we're in London.
Quirky menu and great service
Really wanted to try this for a longtime, and I'm veggie so was cautious. The menu was extensive and staff knowledgeable. The food was perfectly presented a very tasty, I was impressed at the freshness and variety.
lunch at nobu old park lane
Nobu has plenty of choice on the menu and the food, though pricey, is some of the best sushi you will eat in London. We didn't really feel the service warranted the 12.5% charge already added to the bill and next time I would consider amending this is it was again not that great. The toilets were also very poor, not that clean, not well stocked with loo roll and flush not working well. The toilets would actually put me off returning to this nobu but I would definitely try the one in mayfair.
Great Omakase, but ATROCIOUS service!
We have eaten at Nobu in NYC, Malibu, Paris (before it closed), as well as London two times, and unfortunately will not ever go back again after the latest London experience. We have always had the chef's Omakase dinner with sake wine pairings (an astounding 130 pounds --$200-- in London) and while the food was incredibly tasty and well-prepared, the London location was SO lacking in service it was dumb-founding. My companion was left with NO utensils for the length of an entire TWO courses even after asking several times. After the meal was over, we immediately asked to talk to the manager who smiled and did nothing to compensate for the incredible gaffe but tell us the servers had many tables to take care of. Not the kind of service that Nobu himself would allow ever, if he knew what they are doing in London.
The restaurant was perfectly good.
I enjoyed my dinner. It's a nice and quiet place to have dinner in London. For sure it'll not be my last time to it
Monday night Nobu
Always a pleasure. New waitress who was very good. Yellow tail with jalapenos as good as ever. Mains delicious.
Superb evening at Nobu
Took my wife here for a special occasion and was blown away by the quality of the food. We went for the 2 taster menus and each course was a feast in its own right, in particular the wagu beef. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable night. We were extremely well looked after aswell.
As always a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Will be back to try different dishes!
I have been eating here for the past decade and I find it simply amazing that the quality of food has not changed, in fact I think it gets better every time... This time I had the Bento Box for lunch and it was incredible... As good as if you were eating in the best restaurant in Japan!!!
Just didn't feel it justified the price...service was average and food didn't live up to the expectations I had of nobu....plenty of other places in London that I would go to first with equal if not better food without costing as much...just didn't excite me.
Food outstanding but service slipping a little
We ate our way around the menu - around 20 dishes in all. Everything was outstanding after a hit and miss period from the kitchen on recent visits. My only negative comment, on a fully booked Sunday lunch service, is that their were not enough waiting staff on duty. Drink top-ups were haphazard, dirty plates left unchanged, no water offered. These sorts of things were always faultless at Nobu, before the service charge increase to 15%, so they should be even more so now. Still a fantastic lunch and thank you to the kitchen for a timeless performance of both new and classic dishes.
First time in restaurant so needed help with menu our waitress was lovely and very helpful explaining options , then standard of food was exceptional will be back again next time i visit london
Great Atmosphere but average food and service
The restaurant has excellent vibe and atmosphere, it is very uplifting and great for special occasions especially such as office parties etc. The snacks were very good however the main course was very average and definitely not of the reputation that the restaurant enjoys. The service was well attempted however maybe we had a server who seemed to have got very distracted and over occupied with the table next door that to get his attention was difficult, ultimately we had to call another server to serve us the dissert and bill. For that price there are a number of options out there.
Disappointing place, annoying experience
Over crowded. Over priced. Too much echo in the restaurant since the ceiling is low. I could not hear my friend because of the noise. Fast service because they want you to finish as soon as possible. Definitely not what we expected.
Very good food but ridiculously expensive.
Good place to meet for a business meal. The food was very good and all of the dishes we ordered were delicious. However, the price is way too high. I don't mind expensive restaurants but, in this case, there is no real justification for such pricing.
A thoroughly average experience
The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite ordinary and unfortunately, it very much felt like an everyday man's 'spin off' of the main restaurant down the street. The food was good, although in truth, not good value for money. There are a good number of better value Japanese restaurants in London with a similar standard of food, and many places with a similar price-tag but a much higher quality of food (and ambience). That being said, the table staff were very friendly and helpful. Each to their own I suppose, however to me, this was nothing special.
Birthday treat for our son - 21st. Reall...
Birthday treat for our son - 21st. Really good service, excellent food. We really enjoyed our visit
Food was ok, the service was friendly but the 15% service charge was a bit of a joke. A nice place but not for a romantic meal as there is little ambience
