  We have been going to black friars for special occasions for the last 6 years. We usually go for our anniversary but this year my fiancé forgot (!) so I had to make do with a birthday celebration instead! We have also been for Sunday lunch and I can honestly day it was one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. The food and the staff are fantastic. It is a little on the pricey side but the quality of the food is always excellent....More

  Went early on Sunday night so given we were first in it was always going to be quiet. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Food was beautiful and would have got the five stars from me if I hadn't recently eaten at Le'Enclume. I had a roast beef main and the beef was quality as was the veg. A lovely light little pea and jersey royal starter too. Wine was great. Thanks a lot and ill be back....More

  We booked for lunch for four on an extremely busy Sunday as the restaurant had private parties to feed as well as us! The fact that we had to wait a little while did not matter as there was a wonderful young lady singer to listen to and the staff were very keen that we had drinks and were comfortable. Once we were seated we were served by a very professional young man and we all enjoyed the food very much. How on earth the chef had managed to produce such superb food when they were so busy was fascinating and much appreciated by us....More
