The staff were attentive but not too intrusive, the food and price was very good and the location suited due its close proximity to the financial district. As usual, very efficient service, served very quickly, great set menu (£14 for 2 courses and £18 for 3 courses), delicious food and great ambience. I have been here around 6 times and will definitely be back! The speed and efficiency of the service means that you can have lunch and leave in just over an hour but you never feel hurried and rushed. The hostesses were happy to see us and very attentative. Our order was taken in good time, the waiter taking great interest in our selection, providing recommendations to aid us. The food arrived before we knew it; for starters we had The Duck Breast Kebabs and the Lamb Chops. Soft and succulent on both accounts, but the accompanying fiery chilli jam, and yoghurt and mint sauce, respectively excentuated the dishes. For main it was the Lamb Biriyani, and Seabass but also the Black Lentils. The Seabass was delicious and the biriyani, although not as exquisite, was enjoyable nonetheless. Nice, relaxed ambience - could make converstaion easily. Service was excellent - prompt and attentive with a personal touch. Food was of a high quality as usual. Excellent value set meal for lunch - 2 courses of £13.95 and 3 courses for £17.95. Limited choice (3 options for each course) but one meat, one fish and one vegetarian option was available. Portions fair. A la carte always looks pricey but the set menu is good value. ANother bonus is that we had 2 courses and were able to leave in just over 1 hour. I would return again to take advantage of the set menu offer. It has rather a coporate feel given the cost of meals here versus your typical Indian meal. The food continues to be of a high standard and well presented. Had the Prawns in a Madras sauce but it's a totally different (upmarket) experience over other Prawn Madrases that you might have had.
