Diner Reviews
  • "Really good food and beautiful venue. However, it was difficult to get the attention of staff as they disappeared! The shisha is very pricey at £35 plus £5 charge per person - but it was very good shisha. A shame we couldn't get someone to change the coal for us for a very long time so we asked for the bill and left. Good vegetarian options and reasonably priced food. I would go back as the food, drink and shisha was brilliant."

  • "I came here for my birthday as a group of 6. I mentioned that it was my birthday when reserving the table, so they bought out chocolate pudding and ice cream with a candle for me and free shots. I really enjoyed the food, as it was good value for money given the area the restaurant is situated. The entertainment was good with the bellydancer. I even danced alongside her much to the delight of my friends! The waitresses were very friendly and were accommodating with my friend's plentiful sauce requests."

  • ".We couldn't really fault the food at the Mamounia lounge bit were quite put off by some of the sleazy behavior of some of the male staff who spent a lot of their time trying to find out about the love lives of their female colleagues. We even heard wolf whistles coming from the kitchen.. avoid."

  • "Whilst I was aware of the address the only thing missing is a prominent sign on the outside. Wonderful technology mobile phones, speaking to the young female member of staff, who was very polite and helpful saying to me you've just walked past, out she came and escorted me In error I had gone down a dead end passageway next door. Funnily enough the friends I had arranged to meet there did exactly the same thing, at least it created a laugh at the beginning of an excellent evening. Layout was excellent we where right at the back and could see everything that was going on. Staff service and food were all excellent"

  • "We booked a table for 7 and it was comfortable. We were not squashed or cramped. The food was amazing. I would recommend their speciality lamb. It was succulent and delicious. Only problem with the restaurant was that it was not good value for money. For the amount we paid I wish we would have received bigger portions. Having said that if I was in the area I would go back. Just wouldn't go out if my say go go there."

  • "We ate here post theatre and were very pleased with our choice. The restaurant is almost opposite Harrods and only a short walk from the Royal Albert Hall. The quality of the food was excellent - fantastic starters including grilled hallumi and beautifully smooth hummus with lamb shwarma and pomegranate. Our mains were great. I prefer vegetarian and had some beautiful cooked goats cheese covered in black and white sesame seeds. Others had lamb shwarma and other lamb choices which were excellent. We then had lovely baklava for dessert. We left @ 9 just as the belly dancing started, which looked fun. The staff were very attentive and we all came away having had a thoroughly good experience."

  • "This place was my favourite for the pastilles and tagines. Tagine was great as ever but starters size was small!"

  • "We ate here for a friend's birthday meal in December. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The food was very tasty and not expensive. The best thing was the atmosphere and décor - created a really nice atmosphere!"

  • "Food and drinks were amazing. Only downside is that there is no lounge, this is openly advertised online. They even call it mamounia lounge?? Would only ever go there for food. Belly dancer had a very very short appearance! Good atmosphere overall"

  • "We ordered a range of starters and shared. Each dish was prepared with love and care. The balance of flavours was perfect. Good selection of wine and beverages. We had a table in the window so we could people watch!"

  • "I had heard a lot about this place .. So I thought we give it a try. It lived up to the expectation I must say. If you don't mind paying the price, the food was great and well presented. The ambiance was very relaxed and they managed to find us a quiet spot where we could talk and enjoy the evening. The staff was very tentative and polite. Expect to pay around 100 pounds meal for two. As I said if you don't mind the price, it's great place to eat. We will definitely be returning on another special occasion. Thank you :))"

  • "They need more professional and friendly staff. I could see them arguing amongst themselves. And one of the waitresses obviously had issues and she really made it us aware by her ome words answers amd stuck up attitude. She didnt smile once! I also got a stiff neck by having to turn around and grab attention from the waiters who where just walking paste clearly ignoring us. But maybe this was on odd occasion. Apart from that hats off to the cheff, the decor, atmosphere and thr belly dancer which was quite entertaining. I will surely recommend it unless you are looking for a 4 star quality service ..always!"

  • "Food was good. Portions for the main were a decent size. Starter portions could have been a bit more generous. Service was very slow (but friendly) even though the restaurant was relatively empty. Not sure what kind of service we would have had if the place had been busy. Slightly overpriced, but with the special offer the price was very reasonable."

  • "Positives: charming waitress, always apologising for other aspects in the restaurant. Traditional slow cooked lamb was lovely ( presentation could be worked on!) The cocktails were great Negatives. : Management were surely and argued with a member of staff in front of us... very uncomfortable and unprofessional. One of our courses never turned up... We ensured we were not charged. We booked a restaurant table with Toptable, but instead we were put in the bar with the hustle and bustle of waiting customers and the DJ in the corner of a relatively small space! Not good! Will never return."

  • "The food was absolutely amazing!!! And I cannot wait to come back even the cocktails were to die for!!! Yum yum!! Can't say enough good things about it."

  • "Lovely food, lively and excellent entertainment from belly dancer and restaurant was full of life. We were in a group of 4 girls and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all & we would 100% book again soon. Super service! Would recommend to everyone whether for a girls night out or a couple."

  • "Sorry to say but this was not the experience it planned to be. The interior design is great but like most retaurnts in London space is very limited. The tables are in stamp-size compared to the ones in europe. the food was average and so was the service. when we entered the location we were not even greeted beacuse the 3 ladies were discussing reservations. then we got a seat where my wife (it was her birthday) had a nice seat but myself was placed on the hallway to the bathrooms. when i missed a warm starter platter i told them they might have forgotten ist but this was not their sense of humor. at 8 started a dj set which i did not realized wehn i booked the table and so it was even more noizy. sorry, no recommendation"

  • "In the heart of Knightsbrigde - highly accessible & a desirable place to eat. Classy looking interior, better than expected. Excellent service - kind & helpful waitresses. Reasonable pricing for the area but the quality of the food does not match up to it. Overall an excellent venue for a Friday night dinner."

  • "We went in and sat down in the first room. I would have liked to sit upstairs where the tables were separated by the gold curtains but none the less the ambience was lovely. Service was quick. We went on a Monday night so the place was not busy at all. We ordered the pastries and sausage platter for starters. The sausages were so good and so were the pastries. We then ordered a meat dish for the main to share. There was a lot of meat we couldn't finish it all but the meat was dry tender. I also had French fries and buttered cous cous as a side. We also had Virgin cocktails which was lovely and some atay afterwards."
    dined on 21/10/2013
  • "I celebrated my best friends birthday at this restaurant, I've been here a couple of times but my last visit was even better. Staff was very attentive, food fantastic! Cocktails to die for! Can't wait for my next visit :-)"

  • "Atmosphere was great and the interior was fantastic, food was great but my only criticism was the music/dj, it was way too loud, like being inside a nightclub, wasn't able to conversate with friends, so much so that we only had starters and then left, decided to have our main at another restaurant, really was too loud!!"

  • "The restaurant was cosy beautiful,, very welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The door host was extremely nice with she was able to accommodate us with seating at the terrace area so we could have shisha. I would definitely recommend it and shall be visiting again."

  • "The food was fantastic....very tasty, beautifully presented, and great portions. Our waitress was bubbly, friendly and informative about the meals. It was my daughter's 20th birthday and the waitress presented her with a candle lit dessert surrounded by sparklers...beautiful! I would recommend this restaurant to many."

  • "I visited Mamounia Lounge on 27th July. I took a client for a dinner. The website looked fab, the location perfect. I booked table for 2 in the restaraunt. One of the waitresses approached us on arrival and sat us at a table at the entrance.I told the waitress I had booked a table in the restaraunt and she said the restaraunt is closed - first i'd heard of this! We had to eat at a table surrounded by shisha smoke - not nice. we ordered a starter of hummous and pitta bread, and chicken wings. For main we had chicken terrine. The food was nice, but the staff were so rude that it put me off going there again. When the waitress came to collect our plates, she told us off for not having eaten it all. we asked for the bill 8 times! dont go here!"
    dined on 27/07/2013
  • "Small portion over priced food, forget to take the promotions discount off the bill and the restaurant remained cold as they the door open during January time. How ever the cocktail was nice."
    dined on 29/12/2012
  • "This restaurant whilst not terrible, was rather disappointing. The table was inside, but there is an open plan layout so the smoke from the shisha pipes pervades the atmosphere. The staff were not very helpful and made poor recommendations for food. The food was quite bland and not what was expected. The cocktails however were excellent. I think this restaurant would be more suited for casual eating/drinks with food on the side."
    dined on 04/06/2013
  • "As i arrived to the restaurent, before seated, i asked the hostess if I could be seated on abtable in the shisha smoking area. She went and asked her superior and came back telling me that it was no problem and was seated there, i was planning for a lunch and a shisha. Before placing my order, i get surprised by who seem to be the manager coming to me and saying that this table is reserved and i cannot stay there and have to move to the inside of the restaurent, in non smoking area. I tried to tell him that i want shisha, but it made no difference and i moved. Just a note, the place was not busy at all. During my lunch i was surprised by other people coming in and asking to sit on the same table and they were allowed. Very rude and arrogant"
    dined on 19/05/2013
  • "Upon arrival we were initially placed by the door, which was a bit busy and cold as the from of the restaurant is 'open' to accommodate outdoor eating, (not such a great option in British May). However, once I hade ventured to the rest rooms, I found that the restaurant had a number of other areas and more intimate tables, which, when I asked to move the staff were very helpful to please. The food was faultless - most people took 'doggy bags' out with them. we had a variety of mezze's and 1 main each, (with a very nice bottle of Sancere), which neither of us finished the main course. The belly dancer was amazing, although I was pleased that she didn't invite me up to dance, as she had other gentlemen. A very enjoyable evening!"

  • "Good entertainment. Was not happy with the first place we was seated in as it was dull and not the image I had been shown online. It was only when on my way to use the bathroom I saw this really nice area that was fit for the romantic scene I wanted. After requesting to be moved to this area our food got cold. It was a really nice place and the food was great. The belly dancer was a bonus. I wish we was seated in that area first and our night would have been a 10/10."
    dined on 10/05/2013
  • "Food was lovely, however, the service was quite slow. The location of our table meant we were very close to the front of the restaurant which meant we had quite a lot of shisha smoke drifting over the table - not particularly welcome as we hadn't chose to smoke it. Decor was very nice, as were the staff although they couldn't always understand us."

  • "I loved dining at mamounia lounge for my birthday. It was a lovely place to celebrate with all my friends. The food was fantastic a bit on the small side. Drinks were great and service was friendly and attentive. With the tt offer the price was £50 per head for starters mains and dessert. My favourite was dessert choc fondant - heavenly. Only con being sat next to the main door which meant draft kept coming through. Otherwise a great night!"
