The courses were very well cooked, but the steak was very slightly burned on one side. The cheeseboard was excellent as a dessert option. The sommelier was well-informed and gave us a reduced rate for a replacement wine after finding the wine we ordered was unavailable. It was still expensive, even after the 50% off food. The staff were excellent and looked after us really well. I explained to the sommelier that I was paying the entire bill and he recommended a fantastic white and red wine both which came in under £30 each The quality was exceptional. Two of my friends chose to eat from the fiixed price menu (no discount) and their food looked just as good as the 'a la carte'. Some of the dishes were a little over-priced, but with the offer it was tremendous value. I will definitely be going back again, with or without the offer. The restauraurant had a lovely atmosphere, an open kitchen and helpful staff. Excellent food, great service and a terrific venue. The £40 menu including wine is such good value, but every bit as good as the a la carte.
