  Not having been to Chez Bruce for over a year, I found it up to, if not better than before. It is still one of the top restaurants in London for the quality of food and value. The service is impeccable from well trained staff who have been there some time - a recommendation in itself. The menu changes daily but with some old favoutites such as cod with olive oil mash always available. The ambience is relaxed and understated, perfect for any occasion....More

  I enjoyed a very nice market lunch at Skylon with my mum earlier this week. Perfectly cooked food, beautiful presentation, quality ingredients and welcoming service. My haddock was perfect melt in the mouth fish, and my mum thoroughly enjoyed the roast onion tart. Desserts were decadent and artfully presented too.   We have sporadically tried unsuccessfully over the past few years to get a reservation at the Rose and Rock (mostly because we tend to be last minute diners), so were pleased to finally get a table on Wednesday. Having tried most of the restaurants in the area, we are pleased to say we have now found a local favourite. From the great, funky decor to the really good food and service it is a really good local offering- you know you're onto to a good thing when you spend ages agonising over what to order. We shall be booking again shortly for Round 2....More
