  St. John's Bread was recommended to me by a good friend (and Copenhagen chef) as his favourite London eatery, and he didn't let me down. Had a lovely, leisurely Monday lunch with different, delicious and generous plates (cauliflower with leeks and chickpeas and duck hearts with braised red cabbage) for a very reasonable £15. Attentive, helpful and down to earth staff. Also had a nice chat with the French fellows at the table next to me. Definitely recommend!...More

  We were on a long weekend leisure break for music and good food. Musically the Mavericks and Curtis Stigers were fabulous. Lunch at Café Spice Namaste was doubly fabulous. Customer care was terrific, the staff were very attentive. We had the set menu of chefs favourites which was cooked to perfection thus ensuring we will definitely eat there again. We chose this restaurant because Cyrus on the TV appeared to be very personable. He made a point of coming to our table to get our feedback on lunch and we can confirm that impression was right. We also met Pervin who is equally as friendly making our lunch a very special occasion indeed....More

  As usual, the beef was very, very good. The Monday offer of cut-price corkage for byo is a big draw. I was a bit disappointed by the pork starter. This used to be a huge favourite, due to the very high quality of the pork. Now they've made the marinade really spicey. The delicious piggy flavours are too overwhelmed by this. I wondered whether they might be compensating for the fact that the quality of their pork is not what it once was. I also thought the portions of cheese offered - just one thin slice of cheddar, for example - were a tad measly. The ceasar salad was disappointing. The beef here is really superb. I feel it's a shame that not everything else is at the same standard. But it's still one of my favourite places....More
