I had receiveda "Birthday Email" from Little Sicily and booked immediately; what was most impressive was the way that our experience was rescued from what could have been extremely negative.
I was desperate to have a steak Fiorentina as a special treat, but when ordered I was told that this was not on the menu; despite also not being on the menu, the staff provided ribeye steaks which were beautifully cooked and extremely juicy.

Well worth it as prices were typical central London, £14 pasta dish, £19 fish dish. They took our voucher at the start and remembered our personal requirements through the evening.
The food was delicious, we both had pasta dishes and they seemed happy to adjust the meal slightly to what we wanted. The pasta wasn't soggy and the sauce delicious.
We were suitably impressed also by their unpushy attitude considering we ate on a busy Saturday night and had moved our table reservation forward an hour. Initially thought the whole experience was going to go south, but once the manager moved us to a much better table, more like a booth, things changed. Nice wine and the starters and main courses were not only great but the portions were big. Reminded me of portions back home in the USA. The manager threw in a bottle of wine and free bread. Recommend that people order the olives to go with the house red wine. Another suggestion is to mix olive oil and crated parmesan cheese to dip the bread in; it is totally delicious.

In an area of London packed with tourist traps Little Sicily really stands out: the food is good, the service is friendly and attentive, and it's amazing value if they're running a deal, which they usually are (I recommend joining their email list for details). I come here a lot because - unusually for restaurants in this part of London - they accept the Taste card, even on a Friday night, and don't limit the number of people who can use it.
