  First time to The Griffin, went with friends who have eaten there before, on their recommendation I had Ham, Egg and Chips. Superb, the ham was plenty, two eggs, lovely chips and salad. In fact I couldnt finish it all, the portion size was very generous. Will be coming back....More

  Food was really good, waiting staff were really friendly. I chose the 6 course taster menu for £30 and was really happy with it. It's nice that they have the option of just having a bottle of beer if you like rather than forcing you to buy an expensive bottle of wine. My only only complaint would be the tables, we were really squashed in on a row on small tables. You literally have another couple either side of you only 12 inches away, you may as well be on a group table as you can all hear each others conversation. The poor waitress could barely fit beteen them. The booths loooked lovely but we didn't get one of those, I hope it wasn't because we didn't choose the most expensive option :-( Shame really as the food and staff was top notch!!...More
