The wine list is extensive and the desserts are delicious. Even with extra courses and wine its great value for money for the quality you get.

We were eating from the set menu which had a wide choice. Starting with a delicious cheese souffle, followed by a generous piece of trout. i finished with a selection from a fabulous cheese board. my husband had a rich daube and the mouthwatering chocolate pud.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was second to none, as well as being extremely friendly. It was a Monday night and we were the first in the restaurant at 7pm which we thought was a shame to begin with but was actually fine. We did have to mention that we'd booked through TT for that menu, which was no trouble but just as a warning to others.
We had soufflé, escargot, sirloin steak for main and chocolate fondant for pudding. All delicious, although I probably wouldn't order the steak again - although tasty, I think they might reserve the best for the main menu.

I dined with a friend on a Thursday evening and for us the ambience was great - not too quiet but not too loud - perfect for chatting!
The only thing I would criticise is the overly attentive service! I am all for attentive service but it was a bit annoying when every time we started to chat another waiter would turn up to pour warer/ wine/ ask if all was ok etc etc....
