It has a modern, fresh interior is what you would expect from a fine dining venue. The staff are polite, accommodating and attentive without making you feel like you should rush your meal. Despite being warned of a 90 minute turnaround at busy lunch times, we remained for almost 3 hours and were made to feel welcome. It's in the middle of bank/city world, and feels very much like a corporate lunch venue (albeit a very nice one). On Friday and Saturday they do very good value set menus. Our starters were fantastic (burrata, and a veal carpaccio). Mushroom risotto for main was also fantastic, but the monkfish was overpowered by a very heavy tomato & olive sauce.
Lots of service staff on the floor, but some were more on the ball than others. We had the fixed price menu which is great value for a 3 course meal. The choice on the fixed menu was good and included many of our favourite items off the entire menu. The food and wine were excellent and the service was very good. We all had a pasta dish, each one divine, ricotta tortellini, lasagne, mushroom fettucini with truffles, crab and chilli linguini.
