A couple of the curries were commented on as nothing special, but I had the rack of lamb again, and it really is an outstanding dish and I really recommend it. Generous amount of lamb, nicely spiced and the goes perfectly with the pumpkin mash. Fab Grunervetliner wine to go with it all as well. My wife is South Asian and she was really impressed with the quality of the food presented. She was even pleasantly surprised by the accompaniments to the poppadoms, which were very different to your run of the mill curry house. The starters were beautifully prepared. I went for the goat biryani main, which was exceptional. I really enjoyed my mango crème brulee dessert. Portions were very generous and the waitress offered to pack our unfinished mains.
All told 2.5 courses each, one cup of green tea and a bottle of wine came to £50 (including service), after discount.

We had the seafood biryani and the giant prawns which are our two favorites there. Service was a bit stretched as I do not think they were expecting the numbers. We had so much food left over that we took it home and enjoyed it all over again the next day! The top table deal was helpful but doesn't save you a fortune. Khyber is pricey but was worth it, though if it wasn't a special occasion I couldn't justify the price. The staff are very attentive and even the owner came to our table during the meal and asked for our feedback . I would definitely return again. My squid starter was fantastic the portion was very generous my main of lamb was also delicious and the presentation was beautiful. A little more expensive than the standard Indian restaurant but not excessively so and well worth the bit extra. There is a good selection of dishes although not a vast range - always the sign of a good restaurant not to be to extensive. However on enquirying with the waiter, they will basically cook you what you want to your extact taste.

One of my guests was a vegetarian and was pleased that they had a separate vegetarian menu. I choose the beef madras, which I have to say is one of the best I have tasted, big succulent pieces of beef in a rich spicy sauce, not the overpowering heatfest I have had at some restaurants.
