  • "I booked for the Bellini special lunch offer for 7 guests and the manager told me that they were unaware of the details of my booking . I don't know who is to blame either top table or the restaurant but I was made to feel very awkward. Service was thereafter very disappointing and slow. The manager insisted they had no such offer with top table. It was insulting."

  • "Our revisit to the 'new' Savoy was marred by many loud people lying around, sloppily dressed, and the dining room had no intimate ambience. The American bar has also fallen foul of a overuse of ceding speaker -used by the piano player and certainly not required I. The small space is the Bar...absolutely no romance here, unless you are a good lip-reader. We plan to try their dinner dances to see if they can rekindle the true Savoy experience."

  • "Good food and service in a lovely setting. We will return."

  • "An excellent lunch for a special occasion! The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was good and the helpings were more than ample. The 3 courses with a Bellini gave sufficient choice from a range of options and enabled us to sit in the sunshine overlooking the Thames and enjoy our delicious meal.. The whole occasion was quite a privilege. I recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet meal away from the hubbub of the West End. I will definitely return."

  • "Food excellent. Service excellent. Felt a little rushed as we had a 1 hour 45 minute turn around time. We went to the American Bar (piano bar) and the pianist was trying his best to rise above all the conversations going on by paying loudly and singing. Quite loud and diffifult to have a conversation."

  • "Not our first time here. But our first before a show. Service was excellent and of course the food wonderful as usual. Great place to bring business clients too."

  • "Structured to exorbitant and extortionate alcohol prices !!! Desserts too limited !"

  • "Everything about the experience was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a Saturday evening. The Gavi Di Gavi Ca Da Bosio was a fantastic wine choice and really complimented all of our courses. If you want to share starters we opted for the Fruit de mer platter and the Yellow fin tuna tartare, which was perfect. I had the Isle of Skye lobster as my main and my partner had the Dover sole both were outstanding. I definitely recommend Kaspar's a gem in an incredible location."

  • "Whilst the first course, smoked salmon, was OK and the main course was adequate, the cheese selection was parsimonious in the extreme. Service was good and the decor was attractive but the seating along one wall was unappealing. Prices were high and did not constitute value for money. In comparison with dining at the RAC Club it fails on all counts - food, service, price and ambience. We will not return."

  • "My husband and I went to the Savoy for lunch to celebrate his birthday. The food was amazing. My only criticism would be where we were seated. Although I had requested the best possible table on the day, we were seated near the bar and asked if we could move. We were offered an alternative table which wasn't much better. The food and service however soon made us forget about this. I will definetely go back and recommend to friends."

  • "What else would you expect from The Savoy. We had dinner on Sunday evening. The food was exquisite and the portions generous too. Beautiful fresh fish cooked to perfection, and the price for portions of vegetables was the same as my local pub! Highly recommended, and why not have some cocktails after in one of the bars...we did and enjoyed immensely."

  • "I took my mum for lunch this weekend. The food and wine were delicous. I couldn't fault any aspect of my meal, one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I had the lamb - which I would thoroughly recommend."

  • "My friend and I went for dinner last saturday, the food was superb. Both of us ordered lamb, and probably it was the best lamb we had eaten in ages. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Excellent food, service and atmosphere."

  • "We had lunch on Saturday prior to going to the theatre. The food was lovely, lovely surroundings and friendly staff. Will definitely go back again."

  • "service could not have been better food portions small but expected, i thought they could have added another portion of veg within the charge rather than have to pay an extra £4.00 per portion. drinks/wine very expensive but expected restaurant very nice"

  • "I took my Mom on the toptable deal with 3 courses and a Bellini for Mothers Day. The food was great (the lamb rump especially) and we didn't feel restricted by the set menu. The service was attentive but not obtrusive, the overall atmosphere was warm and friendly but still felt like a real treat, the dining room is beautiful too. Head to the American Bar for a cocktail before."

  • "Visited with a friend to have a pre theatre meal. Good value with top table offer. We had the 3 course menu, the lamb was lovely and tender. Staff were very helpful. They made our evening very special. Would definitely go again."

  • "I booked a table of 2 for a pre-theatre dinner. The Bellini was a nice welcome drink. We both had the chicken livers to start which was delicious but the plate had a far too much garnish of leaves. I had the lamb for main and my husband had the Cod which we both enjoyed. The side dishes of creamed potatoes and savoy cabbage were divine but not enough of it for the extra charge of £4 per dish. Nice desserts. The staff were polite but needed to smile. The room was stunning but there was no atmosphere as the restaurant was very quiet and we were put into a corner. Maybe to have booked a little later or just go to the Grill as it has a much better atmosphere."

  • "When people say "It's years since I've been there" it is for a reason. Dining at The Savoy was something I used to do, very occasionally, but haven't "for years". Now there's a reason to return: Kaspar's. Fine food delivered with enough formality to be special, but not too much to make it stuffy. I had great cured fish and a thoroughly modern take on the mixed grill. Both fantastic. Added bonus of a Thames view means this is highly recommended."

  • "We were worried that we might not get in due to the dress code but not a problem, both of us had on high end jeans and t-shirts with comfortable walking shoes (what is a trainer?) and were seated promptly and without any hesitation. Dover sole is a 8 out of 10 and the pre-play menu is very good for selection and taste."

  • "We were a party of four and enjoyed a dinner split with two having fish and two the lamb, both delicious. We enjoyed three courses + Bellini and all thought it was very good value. The service was friendly and helpful. Remember the plus's, vegetables, wine and coffees this brings the price up but we enjoyed eating in a beautiful, elegant Dining Room and would certainly go again."

  • "The food was very good. The dessert was delicious. I would go again just for that. I loved the decor and it wasn't too busy."

  • "As it was our Wedding Anniversary, it was a special occasion for us. The presentation of the food was very good as was the attention of the people serving us. Their attention to making sure that were enjoying the evening was very welcome. My wife and I enjoyed the evening and will return to enjoy a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner."

  • "Greeted promptly and booking identified, Thames view table provided and prompt service at the table for drinks and menu's. Wine waiter was well versed and knowledgeable, staff friendly and attentive while being non intrusive."

  • "We had a fabulous lunch which could not be faulted in any way. We booked an offer of 3 courses and a bellini cocktail for £35.00. When placing our order we were not pressurised in any way by the usual up-seling techniques. No corners had been cut with the food, the portions were good, the presentation excellent and the quality of the food was perfect. I had chicken livers for starters, my partner the smoked salmon, we both had lamb for mains (which was cooked perfectly). Dessert, banoffee pie for me and for my partner floating island. We had a bottle of wine to accompany our meal, this too was excellent and not overpriced. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and the service too could not be faulted. We will definitely go back."

  • "We found Kaspars to be extremely friendly with a relaxed ambience; it's a fabulous location in The Savoy, with views across the Thames. The set early eve menu at £25 - 28 is good value, with enough choice and generous portions of nicely served food. Plenty of home baked bread, then chicken livers, smoked salmon or vege starter. Lamb, cod or vege main. Cheese or choice of puds. All pleasantly served and well-executed. Highly recommended"

  • "I took my mother here for mother's day lunch. The food was competent, but nothing imaginative. The scallops were a little rubbery. The service was not of the standard one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. Overall, I would come here again on a weekday afternoon, but not a special occasion."
    dined on 30/03/2014
  • "This was a birthday treat and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was lovely and the service was one of the best I have experienced, with polite and attentive service without being intrusive - not hovering or topping up wine etc every 5 minutes. It was an excellent deal, but we were not patronised in any way. Would certainly go back if this came up again. SG"

  • "I went with a friend expecting an elegant, quiet dinner. The food was excellent, but the room is anything but serene (we were seated in the room next to the bar). Lots of activity and a rather too high noise level. Service is not as attentive as it should be in a place like this. Go for the decor and the food, but the overall experience does not match the high prices."
    dined on 24/03/2014
  • "Kaspars was a huge disappointment. What a waste of a great location. Bring back the River Room. I don't blame them for charging high prices given the location, but why then provide measly portions of flavourless food which are not likely to draw repeat visits. We arrived 15 minutes early and were directed to wait in the American Bar. After 30 minutes they rang my mobile to ask if we were going to turn up at all! Then we found they had given our table to other people! The food portions were miniscule and flavourless. The cheese consisted of 3 skinny slices which would hardly satisfy a starving budgie. It is a pity because the staff in the American Bar are a delight!!"

  • "I booked a table at Kaspars for my family to celebrate Mothers Day. With the booking I asked for a special table due to the occasion and when we arrived we were shown to the best seats in the house. All the waiting staff were friendly, warm, knowledgable and attentive. The food and drinks were spectacular and the ambience was perfect, not to mention the exquisite decor of course! I'm very much looking forward to my next meal at Kaspars."

  • "It is always a nice experience to eat at one of The Savoy's restaurants. Kaspar's deliver very good food and wine, as you would expect. Service is outstanding."
    dined on 30/03/2014
  • "I booked here for a night out with friends. The table wasn't ready for our booking time and we ended up waiting around unable to even find a bar to go to as all the bars at the Savoy were booked. The staff at the bar were not massively helpful in sorting out where we could get a pre dinner drink and we ended up just waiting in the lobby to be seated. Food was good and the staff at the restaurant were very attentive."
    dined on 27/03/2014
  • "Good food choice on the a la carte, very restricted pre theatre meal, although that choice is very good value. I ate off the a la carte and my Husband had the set menu. The service wasn't amazong, just about ok. We had to ask for our wine to be topped up to go with out main. The waiting staff were mostly non English and a bit abrupt. Great views over the Thames. Overall a nice meal if a little pricey, but would go again."

  • "Atmosphere and ambiance not great - lighting far too bright in Kaspar's. Fairly rushed service, food average. I would've saved myself £100 and gone elsewhere."

  • "We found the food to be a little flat , not very seasoned and very small portions too . It's a lovely place to visit because of the hotel it is in " The Savoy " , but I wouldn't choose to spend my money there again . Hope this helps !!!!"
