Dining room is light, tables are well apart, atmosphere sophisticated, design stylish, welcome always friendly. I took family, friends, clients and foodies here. Every time we had an amazing meal, and people were talking business cards of the restaurant to return on their own. Menu has something for everyone. Wine list is diverse, and big selection by the glass. But what makes the restaurant is the friendly but at the same time formal service, depending on how you want it to be. I decided in the end that it might have been a bit "too much" - but it was the perfect venue to celebrate our first year together. The menu is outstanding, and perfectly served. The fresh pasta is lovely and handmade, we had rabbit with cavolo nero (tender and juicy) and a seafood starter, all washed down by a nice bottle of light red from Southern Italy. Puddings not quite same standard and somewhat different from what menu stated but quite OK. Altogether very enjoyable and we didn't want to leave to get out in the snow again. Smart, elegant and yet unpretentious and the food is great. I had the wild mushroom risotto with duck ragu - a new addition to the menu - and it was scrumptious. Sadly, that is not something that one can say about all long-established London restaurants. The 25% off special offer was most welcome and brought our bill to just over £100 for two, which is good value in Belgravia.
There are some new dishes on the menu - marinated salmon with redcurrants and almonds was lovely - although I was sorry to see that they have dropped my favourite pudding, the trio of chiocolate desserts. However, after I mentioned my disappointment, they promised to bring it back!

Although it was fairly quiet when we went for lunch, the restaurant still had a good ambience. The food was amazing - my scallop starter was cooked to perfection and my pork belly main was incredibly tender and moist. Service was impeccable - when they didn't have the wine we wanted, they suggested other wines within a similar price range which is always good. The food was excellent, service perfect and wine very affordable. We felt very welcome even though we were taking advantage of the 50% off deal. Without the deal the cost of the meal would have been acceptable but the deal made it a real bargain. We walked in the sunshine through St James Park from The National Gallery inTrafalgar Square.
