Diner Reviews
  • "There are a lot of tapas restaurants in the same area, I chose this one on the basis that it seemed to be cheaper, to be honest! I think it was quite well priced, and the small plates weren't too small at all, we shared six plates and some bread between three and were very satisfied. All of the dishes were well executed and also new and different to the standard tapas options. Quite a few sherry choices, my Palo Cortado was excellent. My one niggle, the desserts weren't very good, so I'd say just stick with the tapas! The vibe was relaxed, the staff very friendly. I'd happily come back here. "

  • "I have eaten at Iberica many times and it is always just fabulous!!! I can't say a bad word against it really. A bit pricey I suppose for drinks but that would be it. I do have to mention one menu item that is just out of this world - the berry gazpacho! Such an unexpected joyous mixture of flavours in every mouthful, I have literally never tasted something so wonderfully different. I later took my friends to taste it too (as they are 'foodies'), they were not disappointed either. "

  • "Iberico on Great Portland Street is a great place full of knowledgeable, friendly staff who genuinely want you to enjoy the Spanish cuisine and wine on offer. Tasty dishes - try the chorizo lollipops, the squid ink rice, rib eye beef and of course the great selection of hams and cheeses. Tapas to please every palate. Wine a little limited but still great information available and helpful staff to get it right for you. Highly recommend a visit to this authentic Spanish gem."

  • "Good tapas The best bit is the selection of Spanish hams Very friendly and helpful staff Twice cooked lamb and belly pork are the best of the tapas However, a lot of Mayo with some of the dishes, best to let them know if you don't wasn't it Good value Spanish wine selection"

  • "Good for 4 people sharing 10 dishes. The dishes came at regular intervals which was good and we enjoyed all of them - extensive tapas menu so plenty to choose from. Wine expensive, but a good atmosphere and a sense of authentic Spanish. Waiters were all very pleasant, knowledgeable about the dishes and attentive. We were allocated a 2 hour slot which was fine and were pleasantly reminded that other diners were waiting - this was tactfully done. Overall a very good dining experience."

  • "As always very satisfied with my visit to Ibérica. Place was crowded as usual on a week evening as we arrived, our table was ready and everyone from the host to the waiters were very attentive during our stay. Waiter helped out with some recommendations about portion sizes and wine selection. Food delicious and exactly what we expected. Looking forward to next visit. Fiona"

  • "Iberica is quintessentialy one of the jewels in the Fitzrovia crown. Just a gem of a place. Amazing food, great ambiance and fantastic service. The team at Iberica are just superb - why can't other restaurants learn from these guys and up their game. 4 years on and it never fails to delight. The management, the team and the exceptional service make this a place I usually drop in to every week for a delicious bold Rioja - try the Beronia Reserva, the chorizo lollipops are moorish and the rice pudding is just to die for."

  • "I would recommend this restaurant as the best Spanish food in London. Great tapas with a really good product . The service was warm and helpful and and it worth the price . Even thought the jamon was not great for the price paid the rest o the tapas are simply as good as in a nice restaurant at Spain. Quiet atmosphere for a Saturday night that makes it perfect for a date."

  • "Tapas is never going to be the cheapest way to eat - especially if you have a big appetite. But at least this restaurant delivers on quality and good service. The ingredients are clearly well sourced and the menu is extensive without being overwhelming. It is a lovely, bright unit and the service was excellent."

  • "Fabulous food, interesting cocktails. Not one of the many dishes chosen failed to surpass expectations. Buzzy atmosphere, bit noisy but overall wonderful. Not our first visit and it will not be our last. Would highly recommend."

  • "My daughter booked the table. Most of the staff were Spanish who spoke excellent English. They were very welcoming, attentive and efficient, even though the restaurant was very busy. There were a lot of Spanish customers which tells you a lot about the quality of the food. If you love Tapas, this is a must visit."

  • "Booked dinner here for a special occassion with my mother and boyfriend, we arrived in time for our booking but were told the table wasnt ready so I suggested we have a drink at the bar while waiting but the hostess said no just wait here (in the doorway) as it would only be 1 minute. We waited. After 5 minutes standing in the doorway (obstructing other people leaving/arriving) and still in our coats another hostess once again said it would only be 1 minute. After 10minutes and a few stern words from my boyfriend we were seated at a table much more suited to 2 people (think small square table with our knees all touching under the table). Waiter service again, not great. I asked for recommendations but they just said everything was good!"

  • "I hope it was just an off day but on Friday 28th the set lunch was terrible. Serivce was erratic and the food, when it finally arrived, was poor - either under or over cooked. Will not be going back."

  • "This is my fourth visit to this restaurant, it's excellent as always! Food is divine and service is superb! The restaurant has a great buzz in the evening. The noisy atmosphere can be a little unbearable, so upstairs tables are great! Will definitely be back again!!"

  • "Great choice of delicious tapas but we had to be moved because there was a draft every time the door opened. It was 25 minutes before anyone took a drink order. Staff looked rushed, hassled. Would recommend this restaurant on the strength of its food."

  • "Nice food and good service but we felt we were being watched over and rushed to leave for the next booking. We booked for 6.30pm and were told we had until 8.30pm as soon as we walked in. At 8pm the waiters were hovering trying to remove glasses, cutlery etc from our table. I was talking to a friend about a very serious incident in her life and it felt intrusive. At 8pm on the dot the manager came over and told us - you only have this table until 8pm and there is another booking waiting. Overall nice food, nice atmosphere but didn't feel like a valued customer, just someone to pay the bill and move on."

  • "Was up to scratch Get the croquettes-you'll need 12 Fantastic wine Returning again but I'm cautious on the service levels -had to keep reminding them to bring drinks, fill up water and bring forgotten dishes"

  • "I love this restaurant - the food is amazing - the staff are fantastic and they have the best Sangria this side of the Pyrenees!!! We sat at table 40 which was in a corner surrounded by books - the perfect table - all the privacy you need but still great for people watching. If you haven't been to Iberica yet - I would definitely recommend the Marylebone restaurant - try it you won't regret it."

  • "Went here for a pre-concert dinner with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is modern but still reflects the Spanish theme. The tapas are great portions - we ordered 6 tapas and were quite full. The cocktail was divine, especially their berry version of caipirinha! Highly recommend and would come back here again."

  • "We often go to Iberica and love the food. It consistenly good, if not great with a coupel of items that are superior. Generally, very good traditional Spanish food and they have superb cocktails."

  • "We love Spain and everything to do with Spain. The food in Iberica reminds us of the wonderful pixtos we enjoyed in San Sebastian, and the ambience reminds us of Alicante. What can I say? We have the best of both worlds in the one place."

  • "My family and I (party of 4) made a last minute booking to Iberica, which I have been wanting to try for a while. We were certainly not disappointed and my parents extremely surprised. The food was very fresh and arrived quickly on our tables (we have a 2 hour turnaround time). They are all tapas sized portions, but it was great for everyone to get a taste of everything without out being too full. There was a variety of selections - I highly recommend the the Asparagus toast and cuttlefish ink rice. The service was good, some were friendly, some had a bit of an attitude. Only other downside, the chairs are not that comfy. However, this did not mask the fabulousness of the food. Highly recommended and would go again for sure!"

  • "great food the ambience is very lively although we waited from 9.30 (booking time) till 10 to be sit and after ordering the food in 10 min it came at 11pm.. that resorted in huge spending on wine.."

  • "The food was fantastic and although some of the portions were small, we were all stuffed by the end of the meal. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the restaurant has a really good vibe and the decor is classy but homely. I would definitely go there again."

  • "We have been to the Canary Wharf branch several times enjoying the food and service on each occasion. Unfortunately we can’t say the same for the Marylebone branch. The staff were consistently inattentive and uninterested. We waited well past the table time to be seated despite prompting twice, during the wait we were not served easily at the bar, once we sat down the waiting staff consistently did not bring the drinks we ordered or the bill. It felt very much like the whole staff were trying to churn people in and out rather than providing good service and no one made any sort of apology for the frequent and consistent waits throughout each stage of the meal. Having said that we could not fault the food, it was very good."
