Hush Brasserie - HolbornNice!Went to Hush to celebrate a friend's birthday. Went earlier in the day to leave a cake and they were very accommodating (though they made us sign a disclaimer about the cake!). At the dinner, our Italian waiter was very nice and attentive. The only thing was that the prawn masala dish on the Toptable menu wasn't on the restaurant menu. It was to meet a client for a business meeting so I needed somewhere close to the tube, with good food and great service and I certainly was not disappointed. When having a business lunch one needs a place that can be relied upon for consistently delivering and making you/your guest feel special and Hush delivered this. Food & Service: Starter was pretty good - had a crab cake with a strong hint of lime and avocado. The main was a huge portion - had prawns with tagiliatelle (or something similar), however felt it lacked a certain something in terms of presentation and flavour. Dessert was the best way to finish: warm brownie with earl grey ice cream, loved the ice cream! Was quiet as was early evening. Service was very good and starters arrived quickly. Crab salad had a zing was enjoyed, mushrooms were fine although there was a lot of bread with the dish. Both had the Hush burgers for mains and these are very good indeed. Wine list is reasonable. All in all very good especially with the TopTable offer.04/01/2013 16:00:00Great biteIn a part of town with endless options of eateries, Hush certainly is not without its competition. I went there with 3 friends last saturday evening and it was perfect for what we wanted: a good quality but relatively cheap and quick bite to eat. The 50% off made it a no-brainer but frankly, even without that, the menu is very well priced. Food was tasty, served quickly and by a very helpful and friendly waitress. Ambience lacked slightly as there were only 3 full tables but I guess that was down to it being Sat evening (and quite late: 9pm). Huge variety on the menu meant that each of us (with very different tastes) were all satisfied.
