Hoxton Grill Ratings and Reviews
Super nice place and food, service just okay
I went to the Hoxton Grill for a brunch with some friends. Super nice place, good food and good price for money. Service okay, quite quick but our waitress was not particularly smiley and she forgot a couple a things that we had to ask twice.
Great Saturday night
4 of us ate at Hoxton Grill last Saturday night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were exceptionally friendly, in spite of the place being very busy. Great ambiance, very buzzy and great people watching. The food was not to die for, but it was certainly enjoyable and we all cleaned our plates! Would return, and would advise others to come here. A great place for pre and post dinner drinks too.

Great food and drinks as always. Service for food was fast but our waiter disappeared after our first drink. It was very very busy compared to what it normally it like on a Saturday, and they were setting up a wedding reception in the conservatory, however we did feel a bit left out! Service is normally excellent!
Great atmosphere, bustling and fun!
Really great atmosphere, very sociable bar area. Food was very average in it's selection but great if you just like burgers! I had a mushroom and halloumi burger out of desperation but it was lovely. Not a great menu choice but it is the Hoxton Grill I guess so what did I expect! :-) Service was fab and I wouldn't fault anything. Nice place, would definitely go again.
Good booking system on line, very attentive staff, but Why, Oh Why is a roast lunch "with all the trimmings" only served with potatoes and why does the waiter not point this out until it's too late?
Dinner night out
Amazing service and best hamburgers I have ever had.
All about the lamb chops
Amazing food, especially the meat range, and the lamb chops are the best in town! Great venue, bit busy and noisy on sat night but good atmosphere. Defo a must-do!
Great service / Not-so-special table / Burger fail
I hadn't had dinner there before and it was my partner's birthday so booked a table for 2 on a Friday night. They called earlier in the day to confirm my booking and note they had set aside a really nice table for us given the occasion. I was disappointed in the "special location" which was a 2-top in the middle of the very loud restaurant (basically, the Hoxton Hotel bar) --- nothing special, nor in the atrium area which looked a bit quieter and nicer. As for the food, the menu looked really familiar from my past visits to The Electric/Soho Diner so I was really looking forward to it. We started with a Mac & Cheese, and both got burgers. Mac & Cheese was pretty good but the burgers were very sub-par in comparison to their gourmet, equally-as-expensive cousins at The Electric/Soho Diner.

The food and overall experience in the Hoxton Grill was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, will definitely be going back !
Booked at 745am. Restaurant was pretty quiet but it still took a while for someone to come over to see to us. We needed some time to order as we were chatting so asked if we could have a few minutes. 20 minutes later we got to order. Had to ask for the food as it hadn't arrived after a further 25 minutes and they brought granola, fruit etc at same time as main meal. Bizarre. Food was ok, nothing special so all in all, pretty underwhelming experience.

First visit to this well known eatery, great location, only a stones throw from trendy 'brick lane'. Bags of room inside, mixed types of seating, great burgers but not the cheapest, watch out, the fries are extra. Must order the Blue berry pie 🍰 a real plateful 😊
Great food and place
We went for brunch on a Saturday. Cool interior, great service, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food.
Second time at the Hoxton Grill in two weeks. Great steak, fantastic service and a good experience. Bruno our waiter was exceptionally knowldgeable about the food and the wine. He was honest and made some amazing recommendations, thank you.
I had the burger and my colleague had the ribs. The burger was OK, although they only cook it well done. I would of preferred a crispier burger as well done to me has the smokey charcoal taste that this burger lacked. Fries were fairly standard. There was nothing stand out about the meal , but for what we paid we shouldn't of expected too much more. Good value and good ambience. Always very busy and tricky to get a seat if just coming for a drink. Would come again , wouldn't have the burger.

Gets better as it gets older
Always been very happy with the Hoxton Grille. Sums up Shoreditch really, easy going, stylish and always worth a look!
Good burger, great style
Loved the decor and food was good. Service efficient but not overly friendly. Will return again!

Trendy eatery in Old Street area
I went there on my own on Sunday night. It's clearly a very trendy place, like many restaurants in this area. It was busy, but not cramped. The atrium area and high ceilings made it feel airy and comfortable. The food selection was fairly limited, but I thought the quality of the food was very good. The wine prices were on the high side, but not the most expensive I've seen. The service was great, although I did feel like I was the oldest person there :-)
They turn the music up really loud in the lounge area so much so that you cannot hold a conversation with the person sitting right next to you in the restaurant. If you want to talk over dinner do not book here !
Nice restaurant with a cool bar
Vibe was good, meal was nice (nothing amazing), prices were pretty reasonable, service was good so all in all a good night and would recommend.
I often take advantage of being a hoxton friend and always have the Sea Bass which is cooked to perfection although this time really disappointed with the salad that came with it.. As was only rocket with shavings a parmesan and sea salt! Thought as the salad was an other option to chips it would have had more ingredients. We also ordered dessert which is always tasty. Staff are always at hand and very helpful
Great night and food, ah-may-zing macaroni cheese (I think the best I’ve had in a long time) I would highly recommend this as a place to visit for a lively time if in the area and particularly on a Friday or Saturday night. Although I’d get there early to “plot” up as the bar area can get a little over crowded :-)
We attended the restaurant for a business lunch for four people. We were sat in a booth near the kitchen which, whilst not looking particularly private, was perfect as the general noise and buzz of the place meant we could speak freely without risk of being overheard. Choice of wine was good and we were never without an empty glass for long, although one improvement may have been the suggestion of a bottle rather than continuing to order by the glass. Food was excellent - two ordered steaks which looked and smelled fantastic, one ordered swordfish which also looked excellent and I ordered the quinoa with chicken breast which was great but was an exceptionally large portion! The Hoxton Smore dessert waas recommended and I would say this was a must try!! We were seated for over two hours and ate a lesiurely lunch, not feeling rushed or pressured for the table back at all which was perfect. Will definitely be back and would cetainly recommend to others.
Comfy, welcoming, great food!
The ribs are unbelievable! Try them. You won't be disappointed. Great ambience, good service, comfy seating in the booths. The conservatory is also a lovely place for a brunch or lunch. Would definitley recommend.
Fab evening at Hoxton Grill
Delicious cocktails and food with great service. Will defiantly come back
Ribs and the swordfish were amazing!
Ribs and the swordfish were amazing!
Great décor and brilliant atmosphere on a Friday night but I would stick to drinks only here. The service wasn't brilliant and the steak was poor quality.
Hoxton Grill still the hot place to be!
Returning for Saturday brunch, we were happy to see the menu was updated and more eclectic than in the recent past. This is still hard to beat as a relaxed weekend (or any day) space, always interesting and always well-managed. We love coming back here.
The team at Hoxton Grill couldn't have done anymore to help me organise a wonderful small family lunch for my brothers 30th Birthday. We didn't feel rushed, were greeted warmly and made to feel at ease. The manager came over to introduce himself at the start of our lunch and they were even gracious enough to light a birthday candle hit a cake we had brought in, singing Happy Birthday to my brother!! 😊 I will definitely go again the management and staff have us a 5 star experience not to mention the food is beyond what you would expect you have to try the macaroni cheese! Well worth the price! 10/10
Excellent ambiance, very trendy! Great place for a business meeting as wifi free, or even a romantic meal. Food very nice although portion of quinoa salad was HUGE! Cocktails tasty, although menu could be larger. Would definitely go again.
Good afood nd service in the restaurant. Service at the bar not so good, but situation rectified by very friendly manager.

Fabulous food, great service and great vibe! It's the kind of place where you can essentially cover most occasions .
Delicious dishes. Great ambiance.
Delicious dishes. Great ambiance.
Best service I've ever recieved! Gorgeous food!
The staff are so tentative, and the food came out really quickly and was absolutely beautiful! Love this place and will definitely visit again next time I'm in London!
friday night.... Dinner party!
great atmosphere, helpful staff, amazing cocktails and good food! Would recommend for dinner, need to book and the tables are only booked for 2hours so you need to get a wiggle on when you arrive and ordering your food.
Good buzzy atmosphere during the day, great service and enjoyable food at The Hoxton Hotel.
Great for a family meal
I head here often with big groups of friends, some of whom have kids. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate buggies and the laid back atmosphere is fantastic for a casual Sunday lunch / brunch. Love this place.
I have to say we were a little disappointed, my brunch was fine but various parts of the other three meals ordered weren't very hot and the coffees were really bitter and again tepid. Lukewarm coffee doesn't taste great. Generally for the price and venue you expect a certain standard, won't be eating here again.
Speedy service and great food
Friday night; lively atmosphere; out with my better half, sharing 3 great snacks (spicy chicken wings, nacho chips and olives with (delicious) stuffed peppers) followed by 2 super burgers (halloumi & avocado and bacon and blue cheese) with fries and redslaw washed down by a bottle of malbec; what is not to like?
