As the cool feel of Wimbledon spreads towards Raynes Park, denizens of the area are being treated to a dining boom with Hashi as its starting point. Clean, crisp and actually rather fabulous décor wouldn’t look out of place in the funkiest ends of London. It’s a pretty good starting point for any restaurant, but to continue the treat with attentive service worthy of a VIP is a testament to the owners. Moving on to the kitchen, utterly fresh sushi is the talk of the town while crunchy rolls plus an extensive choice of rice and noodle dishes are perfect for those with an appetite for Japanese without a love of the raw.

Hashi Ratings and Reviews
short table time..
The food and service was good but it felt rushed with only 1.5 hrs allocated for the table. We were still eating when we were reminded they needed the table back in 10 mins. Not the best way to end a meal.
Exquisite Service & Incredible Food
Our third visit in as many months and every one as incredible as the next. The staff are wonderfully attentive without being overbearing. The food is stunning; fresh, tasty and a varied menu to offer any palate a choice. Always busy but never loud, the atmosphere is inviting but allows for an intimate dinner without interruption. A truly spectacular local run restaurant.
Best Japanese Restaurant in Wimbledon
We have been going to Hashi for the past 5 years and have always had a fabulous meal.

The ONLY complaint I have is that the rice hadn't cooled down on one of the rolls. That meant it had a softer, more mushy texture. Thats it - otherwise it was a perfect meal, as always!
Great 'Local' Japanese
I had been recommended Hashi by my sister in law a number of months ago, but I had never arranged to get there until last week. I used to travel a lot to Japan and my husband and I lived in Asia for many years - and Japanese food is one of our favourite cuisines. I was impressed by the extensive menu, but we chose to stick fairly simply to 'test' the restaurant. We were not disappointed. Superb Sushi and Sashimi - the best in England so far. A super seared tuna appetiser, along with Agadashi Tofu, and probably what we were slightly disappointed with, the Tori (Chicken ) Karagae. But to say disappointed is stretching the point. A gorgeous seared black cod and miso finished our meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere - noisy, a full restaurant, plenty of people collecting take away, and relaxed service. Will definitely return and would highly recommend. Next time we will try some more non standard dishes on their menu.
Delicious sushi, authentic experience
Hashi is an honest local sushi restaurant which is worth visiting even if you live outside the Raynes Park/Wimbledon area. Their lunch offers are particularly attractive (price-wise) and their a-la-carte menu prices reasonable. Their sushi is delicious- credit to the chef who does a great job.
Lovely local Japanese
I struggle to order anything new as I love my usuals and now the children are getting in on the act - they love the Bento boxes..
Lovely food and attentive staff. I've been here several times and its never disappointed. Looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu
Best sushi outside London
I love this place, and regularly travel 30mins from Surrey to get my fix. The quality of the sashimi and sushi is superb, and the rolls are simply delicious. Cannot fault any dish I've had.
Reasonable value Japanese food. Friendly and helpful staff.

An excellent Japanese restaurant a somewhat surprising find in Raynes Park. The crunchy roll in particular was delicious. Only slight criticism is that the black cod could have been a bigger portion - I would have willingly paid more for that. If you want amazing black cod then I expect you will have to pay Sumosan prices!

Lovely dumplings, soft shell crab and crunch roll - always tasty, fresh and full of flavour
Excellent food, service was good
Our second visit here and we were placed in a separate area towards the back of the restaurant which had 2 tables. At first we though this was quite nice and intimate but then it got really loud and when the other table was occupied with a noisy family. Food was good as usual but expensive at the same time. Would still recommend the restaurant if you fancy quality sushi along side hot food as well.
Great food, great service
It's pricey but great quality food. Draughty near the door but otherwise a lovely ambience throughout

Wonderful fresh fish, delicious hot food and fantastic efficient service. It is one of our favourites - a pearl in the heart of commuterville
Really lovely meal, very fresh and tasty. All the waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive. Some of the best sushi I've had in England
Another wonderful meal at Hashi
Hashi was as good as ever. Very glad we booked as it was full even on a Tuesday evening - the village roll was particularly good.

Staff were attentive and happy to help, price was very reasonable for the dining experience that you will have and the food was delicious - consistency is great as I have never had a negative experience here.
I always come to this place and I am never disappointed. Lovely food, good quallity excellent presentation

Every time we visit Hashi we have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and the service is great. Sadly we have now moved away from the area but recently went back - just to visit Hashi. That's how good it is.
I wanted to try sushi for the first time so picked this restaurant as it had great reviews. It was a bit pricey but the sushi and sashimi were amazing, I have no regrets and would definitely go again.
One of my favourite restaurants.
Outstanding! From divine tuna tartare to various rools - Maki, Californian, Crunch roll all outstanding. Black cod, sushi and sushimi all top drawer. As good as any big-name Japanese in the West End but without the International clientele - this is a well known 'secret' for locals!! That said, the couple we took live in Teddington and will certainly be back although it is not on their doorstep.
Hashi - certainly a big 'hai'!!
Suggested lunch to a good friend who lives locally and she (being a regular) suggested Hashi. One of the best Saturday lunches for ages. The staff are attentive, the food very well presented and the buzz of the room convivial. We took our own wine (a Chilean sauv blanc - £5corkage) and started with a shared, very tasty, soft shelled crab. I then had the salmon teriyaki bento box while she had the king prawn tempura (accompanied by a vast bowl of noodle soup). We were allowed a relaxed meal, with endless jasmine tea re-fills, and experienced a great meal and conversation over a 2 hour period. At £45 which included service and corkage it was great value and an experience I will return to frequently in future.
Great ambience and delicious food. A hidden gem :-) Attentive service without being over bearing ..... Fresh sushi that melted in your mouth and an option of set meals for the uninitiated . Would definitely recommend a visit for all sushi fans!
Best Sushi in London?
The Sushi at Hashi is to die for. It is a must try if you've never been. Please go! :)
Polite and friendly staff, lovely food, and baby/child friendly. Will definitely be going back there.
I visit this place regularly and love it. Never disappointed
Ok for a quick meal
nothing to really write home about but the food is consistent, not really the Upper London type
Best local Japanese restaurant

I absolutely love Hashi and have been coming here for over 5 years. Unfortunately my experience on Saturday was not up to the usual standard of service. Our order was incorrect, we were brought out food in an order that we did not want. The waitresses did not come and ask us whether we wanted top up with our drinks. On the whole the experience of service was sub standard and not the high quality that I have come to expect. However, it has to be said that the food was amazing and I would put up with the poor service again any day of the week.

Lovely dinner as always, service perfect and left full and happy....
Great food in an odd location!
Really inspiring food in an unusual location. It always seems busy and the atmosphere varies according to who's there but the one constant is the service which is thoughtful and impeccable.
Great first time dining at Hashi
I have been looking for a local sashimi restaurant near Wimbledon where I could find good quality fresh fish. And Hashi hits the spot! Great mackerel, scallop and yellow tail sashimi followed by delicious Black Cod in miso. We took our own wine and charged £5 corkage. So a cheap night for me! My 70 year old mother has found a new love in eating raw fish and she loved it too. The only negative - I am not that familiar with Japanese food and in this instance would have liked to seen more pictures of the different dishes (pics not normally a favourite and usually avoid restaurants that have them!) Maybe there should be a discovery tasting menu for us virgins????
Good local Japanese restaurant
The food is always good, the service pleasant and price reasonable. You can take your own wine and they will apply corkage.
Loving this place every time I visit
lovely soft shell crab and crunchy roll.... every time I visit this is my choice you can never go wrong!

Good food but disappointing service
I have been to this restaurant several times previously and always found it to be very good. This time I went with a group of friends and found the service very disappointing. When we got there the staff tried to squeeze us onto a very small table for four people, when there were five of us. When we were leaving we were very rudely told to go as the restaurant was closing. The food is very good, but the Tako Yaki were served way too hot and scalded my mouth badly. Would recommend to a friend but with some caution.
Birthday dinner was divine!
Went there for a romantic Birthday dinner with my husband and was not disappointed, food and service great as always, definitely recommend for a special occasion or just a night out.
best japanese in SW London
return customer, can's say better than that. My wife (who is Japanese) loves it
My favourite local..
We are spoilt by the food and the service every time we visit Hashi - just LOVE it....
