Gravetye ManorGenuine beauty and luxuryMy husband and I had dinner with another couple on Sunday evening. We started with drinks in the drawing room, then a stroll in the garden which even in miserable weather looked and felt absolutely lovely. The ambiance in the dining room was very relaxing and the food was fantastic, especially the bread and the meat dishes. Also a big compliment to the staff all round. It was perfect and we will certainly be back.12/05/2013 00:00:00Sunny SundayAnother lovely Sunday lunch at the Gravetye. The food was superb and beautifully presented and all the staff could not have been more welcoming. This is a very special place and certainly worth a visit for a celebratory occasion.03/04/2013 00:00:00Exclusive TreatThe Gravetye Manor offers sumptuous food in outstanding surroundings. The feel of the hotel makes the whole dining experience seem rather exclusive and the service, from the moment you walk through the door until the time you unhurriedly leave, is second to none. You certainly get what you pay for and I would highly recommend this hotel and dining experience to anyone looking to seriously impress.23/03/2013 00:00:00Great placeGreat food and a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.08/03/2013 00:00:00Superb eveningWe were celebrating a birthday. We had a superb meal and excellent service in a very relaxad but atmospheric setting. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. The food was excellent and chef adapted one course to fit in with a food allergy of mine. We have never been disappointed when dining here. The dining room and sitting rooms have a lovely olde worlde charm and in the summer it is lovely having coffee sitting in the garden - weather permitting.02/03/2013 00:00:00Wonderful food in a beautiful settiThis was our third occasion visiting Gravetye Manor and the food is always exceptionally good. The service and setting are also exemplary. So nice to be able to hear ourselves speak - too many places are literally caverns and noisy.24/02/2013 00:00:00Gravetye Manor lunchWe had a delightful New Year's Day lunch. Relaxing per lunch drinks and a lovely 3 course lunch served by attentive friendly staff. We did not want to leave after coffe in the comfortable lounge of this lovely historic hotel set in beautiful countryside.31/12/2012 16:00:00Lunch at GravetyeWhat an amazing place, stunning surroundings and gardens with beautiful house in all it's glory with log fires and sparkling Christmas trees, the service was exemplary and food not bad either! Definitely recommended. We had Sunday lunch on way home from Gatwick - a lovely treat.29/12/2012 16:00:00Excellent mealWe had an excellent, if expensive meal for my birthday. The a la carte menu was interesting, the lobster starter was very tender. The pear and Stilton salad was disappointing as the amount of salad was so small. The venison main was interesting, but don't forget to order some vegetable sides. The souflee and cheese desserts were memorable. Overall an excellent experience.20/12/2012 16:00:00Gravetye ManorGravetye has the Country House Hotel concept to perfection. A beautiful place, restaurant is lovely. But the price you pay for this is far too much. The food was exceptional, but to pay £20 for a starter!!! A very tiny starter as well. The staff are very attentive. But the menus are too expensive, more than London prices.04/05/2012 00:00:00Brilliant Service !Saturday night - table for four. Brilliant service. Good food. Great wine. The whole experience was superb. Even though there were only 2 other tables occupied it did not detract from the ambience of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was all delicious and well presented. Try the beetroot souffle for dessert . There are fresh flowers in abundance all around the hotel- it cannot be faulted.03/04/2012 16:00:00
