Went for the Sunday roast and had roast beef that came with baked shallots, potatoes and amazing Yorkshire pudding.
Gravy not too rich and tasty.
The lemon tart was divine, served with the right amount of creme fraiche.The chocolate cake very rich but a must-do for the chocolate lovers.
Incredible selection of Cheeses that came in a trolley with an expert waiter who introduced all of them. For 8 pounds you get to try 5 pieces with biscuits.
Espresso very good but at £5 is the only overpriced item.
We drank a Sancerre for £45 that was delicious.

We chose the a le carte menu of 3 courses, but we received little complimentary dishes between meals. I would definitely recommend this restraunt. I feel that the dress code let it down a little as our meal was late evening, and there were people wearing smart jeans, but albeit denim. The staff were great, attentive but not constantly asking if the food was ok which we liked. They were happy to talk about the food and why we were there, to our surprise a plate was presented to us with happy anniversary written on it, a lovely touch to the meal. Food was amazing, great tastes and thoroughly enjoyable.

We were greeted at the door and my wife was wished Happy birthday and we were shown to an excellent secluded table. The service was immaculate and the food delicious. With dessert my wife was presented with a a small cake with a candle on it with happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Nothing ostentatious, vulgar or OTT , just right. The did not have a childrens menu, but was able to make his favorite dish pasta with tomato sauce. The food I ordered was gourmet foood and so delicious. There was a high degree of service from the staff. The wine menu was presented on an Ipad. They also served a delicious dessert, and icecream for my son.
