We both like our steak medium rare and these were cooked to perfection. the triple cooked chips were fantastic, the best my wife has ever had. We shared a New York style cheese-cake as dessert, which again was first class. The restaurant is very chilled out considering its location, was for me a much added bonus. We shared the 900gr Irish Porterhouse with sides of mac&cheese, corn and spinach (accompanied with Journey's End South African red). The steak was absolutely exquisite - as good as they come with the fillet side melting on your tongue.
After the meal. I asked the waiter to show us into the meet room which he gladly agreed to and gave us an overview of all the key concepts! We got the matching wine for our desert for free and as a regular diner I also got 10 quid off the final bill.

Goodman definitely know how to source their meat and staff are patient and helpful in explaining what's available and even calculate the weight if the bone if that's what's you're after.
Wine selection is decent but the wine list could do with a bit more work. The offering was good but could be more suitable to the menu on offer with better pricing.

I have Been to Goodman 4 times (mainly the Mayfair one) over the past 3 months and the steaks are so consistently good. It is cooked in a way no home equipment can manage. My Gaggenau equipment has also surrendered! A different league from Gaucho (I can snobbishly say I trump Gaucho with my eyes shut :). Better than Hawksmoor but Hawksmoor has a more sophisticated atmosphere. If you are into chips, this beats Hawksmoor too. Try the Truffle chips. Just love the rare breed cattle you get here. I recommend the Belted Galloway, Longhorn not too bad too. Check before as they don't always have this. When the meal arrived, it was of the highest quality from starter (prime ribs) to desert ( ginger and peach crumble).
Then the pier de résistance was the staff making the night special for my partner by bringing out a cake with a candle on it, especially after I had forgotten the cake, so they got me out of the dog house.

We arrived about 20minutes earlier than our table time (as we weren't entirely sure where it was) and were seated straight away and the waiter went through the different meats and cuts on the blackboard giving us the details and the differences to each. He then gave us enough time to select our meat and took the remainder of the order and also gave us a run through of the wine menu. I notified them in advance and they kindly put up some balloons for the birthday boy. We ordered a cocktail each at the bar on arrival and they were absolutely wonderful - my boyfriend's Mojito was the "best he'd tasted". The menu is extensive, I wanted every starter and, although I'm pescatarian, struggled to decide what to have (not suitable for vegetarians mind you but you wouldn't expect a steakhouse to be). My boyfriend had a huge steak and loved it, I ordered far too much and was defeated but every bite was wonderful. Finally with desert they added a Happy Birthday message and candle to my boyfriend's sundae. We shared a Herefordshire bone-in rib-eye + ordered two lobster tails, mash with chives and of green beans. We've eaten great steaks around the world but this was by far the best we'd both eaten. Deep, rich, beautifully cooked piece of meat - as it happens, my partner likes it well-done (heathen :) and I like it medium-rare, but it wasn't a problem - when it came (you can order it pre-sliced for ease of sharing) it was too rare for Dan but the waiter didn't hesitate, he sent half back for more cooking.
