I had a 400g rib-eye, which was cooked beautifully, and my girlfriend had the spiral-cut sirloin which also got excellent reviews. The chips weren't amazing, I can't speak for anything on the menu other than the steak, but on the basis of our experience we will definitely go again. Excellent quality steaks perfectly cooked as requested, knock out desserts, great drinks, and decent enough sides made it one of the best meals I've had out in a good while. Add that to friendly and attentive service, sophisticated decor, mood lighting, and some great tunes at just the right level...and you've got yourself a winner for a top notch, chilled out meal before heading into an event. Yes, it's on the pricey side...but if you want to impress or woo someone, it's THE place at the O2 to do it. We received a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival to help us celebrate and before ordering our waiter talked us through the cuts of steak and the way they prepare them. Our waiter also asked what wine we liked and then made a suggestion from the wine list and brought us a taster before we decided, and this was not just the more expensive wines on offer. The food was outstanding, cooked perfectly and exceeded our expectations, which were high already based on the experience friends have had there. It wasn't cheap, but for the quality on offer I wouldn't say it was overpriced either. Very good and attentive service in both bar and restaurant - venue is quite an experience. Great wine and food, although slightly disappointed as it wasn't the best steak I'd ever tasted. For main course, I tried the Gaucho tasting plate, not realising all the steaks were marinated an a herb, garlic and olive oil dressing. Nice, not outstanding, more medium than medium rare, but the thinness of the steak makes getting the cooking right very difficult. That said, all the staff were very friendly and they were happy for us to sit in the bar waiting for our daughter, delivering her to our table when the concrt was over, so a definate plus for that. I visited with my 17 year old son and his friend prior to a concert at the O2. We were stunned by how gorgeous Gaucho's was inside - the decor was gorgeous. The staff were attentive, very helpful and positively beautiful! The atmosphere was lively, but not excessively noisy and the food was simply outstanding. The complimentary dip and bread were a lovely touch, the steak was the best I have ever eaten, the wine (which the waiter heped me to choose) was gorgeous and I could have stayed there all evening!! Although on initial perusal of the menu, I thought it was a bit on the expensive side, I can honestly say it was worth every penny.
