Diner Reviews
  • "The steak was absolutely delicious, we had fillet and shared chips and salad. Wine was good and went well but we did choose from the back of the wine menu so work your way through there are some more reasonably priced but good wines at the back! Service in the bar was slow but in the restaurant was very good, we said what time we wanted to leave as we were seeing a show and we left on the dot. It was very expensive so would definitely go again bit for a treat."

  • "Booked to have dinner before the Miranda show at the O2. Best idea in a while as we got seated early, was able to not rush and have drinks, dinner and desserts with time to spare. Good food and ambience which helped as it was my daughters belated birthday celebrations. Helped to able to be able to book online which is great. Easy to find in the O2 and better than having to queue at the other eateries in the O2"

  • "Fab decor and friendly staff. The food was slightly over priced- but perfect for a special occasion. Defo worth a visit"

  • "Food was really good, but service was incredibly slow and the staff seemed practiced at avoiding eye contact - even worse was the extremely loud pounding music, which wasn't necessary to create atmosphere as everyone was there for a good time anyway (it being the pre-show seating at the O2) & ruined what would otherwise have been a classy and relaxed restaurant experience. This wasn't just our response - at the next table, the man paying his bill complained at length about the slipshod slow service. A shame, as Gaucho O2 has everything going for it to be the destination restaurant for people willing to pay a premium for a high class meal in the unlikely environment of the O2. And my Entraña Fina steak was truly memorable."

  • "This is one of the best quality restaurants inside the O2 venue so great if you want a guaranteed 'good' meal before a gig, however although I understand that the quality of the meat is such that you pay a bit more the usual, the side dishes and drinks are only of average quality for a good restaurant and therefore I think the prices here are over inflated. This is an expensive option but the steak is very good and cooked just how you like it!"

  • "My first experience in gaucho and was lovely I treated my partner for his birthday. Was nice quiet day and the service was great. Food a little overpriced but then again it's not like it's a birthday every day. So would go again for a special occasion."

  • "Our table wasn't ready at our booked time, this made us late for the Timberlake show, meaning we missed the opening and first song. The service in the lounge area where we were waiting for a table was slow and took twenty minutes to bring us our drinks. During this time we had to stand as there were no seats available. I understand that it was particularly busy at this time, but we felt we were a forgotten about. Once shown to the table the waiter was excellent and knowledgable. The food and drinks arrived in good time although a side order dish was overlooked and arrived towards the end of the meal. In summation, the overall service and the way we were treated was poor which tarnished our usual Gaucho experience. Compliments to the Chefs."

  • "I visited once before and was blown away so decided to take my friend for a pre concert dinner. Unfortunately service was not as I remember, our wine took forever, we both had rib eye steak (AMAZING), and shared broken potatoes/fries & spinach. Potatoes not as good as we expected, the spinach was quite watery and contained a hair.. ! (I can forgive as the steak is so good). Our shared dessert was lovely (sampler platter) & then cheese & biscuits (I wouldn't order cheese & biscuits again). All in all, we had an expectation of a spectacular meal & unfortunately it didn't deliver. The total bill came to over £120 reasonably expensive to be left disappointed...."

  • "Visited the restaurant for probably the 5th time on Sunday 6th of April 2014 and it was the most disapointing visit. They simply didnt have enough staff. It took us literally 30minutes before receiving just the menu for which the waiter sincerely apologised and then every timehe came back to our table thereafter he apologised again for the continued delay in service. Whilst polite and professional he seemed very overwhelmed by how busy it was. We asked for drinks 3 times and were forgotten about, luckily i was fortunate enough to grab a passing member of staff who must have been a manager as when she bought the drinks back she offered them to us complimentary. Food was good however when it eventually arrived. Wont be going back."

  • "I visited the Gaucho grill on business, as normal i was very impressed! As soon as you walk in,you are made to feel special and my client was very impressed. The reception is impressive and then we were taken to the 1st floor in a lift. The service was great and the food was amazing, steak was cooked perfectly. I cant recommend the Gaucho grill highly enough, if its with friends or family or business every occasion is great."

  • "I run nine restaurants and so I'm sometimes hard to please when it comes to dining out, this place was recommended to me by a colleague and did not disappoint. Absolutely outstanding from start to finish, flawless personal service, superb food quality, couldn't fault it. Very expensive, and the waiter was clearly trained in up-selling -but you get what you pay for!"
    dined on 22/03/2014
  • "Superb food, slightly confused service although all were very friendly & responsive. The wine list assumes a depth of knowledge but contains a good variety across various prices and the staff are happy to help you make a selection if required. Not cheap, but worth an occasional splurge as a special treat and a bargain compared to the scandalous parking prices at the O2. Can't speak to the quality of the non-steak main course options on the menu, but the starters were great (empanadas and chorizo) and the lomo was perfection. Very nice cheese course and tasty chocolate truffle nibbles to round things off with fine accompaniment from some "port-style" Argentinian wine recommended specifically by our waiter. Thoroughly enjoyable evening."

  • "Have been to Gaucho before and pick it at the O2 as you can pre-book a table when visiting for a show. We were shown to a table on the 1st floor near the door so asked for another which was no problem. Food is very good and after panicking about the wine price, discovered I was looking at the fine wine supplementary list! Ordered one of the house red's and very nice it was and not too pricey. What made it for us this time was Johnny the waiter, he was very professional and struck just the right note throughout the evening. Gaucho give him a payrise."

  • "Food & service very good, although I think there should be a few more fish options"
    dined on 17/03/2014
  • "An interesting dining experience! A very different décor and if you don't mind low level lighting, mirrors, dark interior, chandeliers and cowhide! There are no outside windows, so you wouldn't know what time of day it is outside until you left. The service was superb right from the moment we arrived. The Argentinian steaks were huge. My husbands fillet steak was a bit dry - he mentioned it to the waitress and without any fuss, she removed his plate and ordered a new one with fresh vegetable side dish. The new fillet was 100% better and absolutely delicious. There are other chicken/pasta/fish options for the non meat eaters. I would recommend."
    dined on 16/03/2014
  • "We had a meal for 2 before our concert at the O2. Service was lovely but at a cost of £185 for 2 drinks 2 courses and an average bottle of wine followed by coffee we wouldn't visit again. The steak was nice but I'm sure that we could have had an equally nice meal for better value if we'd have looked a little further,"
    dined on 15/03/2014
  • "Good food, excellent service getting every one in and out for the evening show at the O2. Very uncomfortable chairs, if you are of average height you wont know what to do with your legs !"
    dined on 12/03/2014
  • "My husband and I ate at this restaurant before a show at the O2 and were a little bit worried that it would take too long and we would miss the start of the show as they really go to lots of effort to help you forget that you are in the O2, its a very beautiful restaurant, lots of staff on hand to serve you and make you feel special and an excellent choice of steaks from the menu. We opted for aperitifs, starters and main courses and were in and out of the restaurant within an hour which we thought was very good considering we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy each course properly but without lingering. As expected the meats were delicious and well cooked, but hats off to the serving staff! Probably the best place to eat in the O2!"
    dined on 15/03/2014
  • "Gaucho's is never cheap, but the O2 prices are quite frankly ludicrous. 2 steaks, 2 sides, 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water and a side salad = £111, without tip. Service, as always, was excellent. Ambience was OK, a little noisy perhaps but it was very full. I still struggle with the lighting, you need a head torch to read the menu, which seems to be written in about the lightest colour you can get. I still rate them as the best chain for good steak."

  • "Excellent service with very knowledgeable waiting staff. Great food and attentive service. Would recommend to anyone going to see a show to set the evening up."
    dined on 13/03/2014
  • "Lovely meal - timing and portion/course choices perfect for pre show dining. Gaucho's wine is a tad over-priced in my opinion, but you can forgive in favour of the food value and quality. Great evening-thank you Gaucho O2."

  • "This is the 2nd time we have visited this branch of Gauchos, and the service was friendly, polite and attentive. The different cuts of steak were explained and I must say cooked to perfection. I had the Rib Eye which was soft and tender and had so much flavour, it was one of the best steaks I had eaten. The selection of chocolate truffles are a good choice for after if you don't want a big pudding. The salted caramel one was my favourite. This is a must for steak lovers. Thank you Gauchos and we will be visiting again."
