Filini Restaurant at Radisson Blu BirminghamVery GoodGreat food, with a great relaxing ambience, in a dimmed (but not overly) and comfortable setting.
The fillet steaks were excellent, as were the carpaccio and squid starters.23/03/2013 00:00:00Pre theatre dinner - very impressedWe took advantage of the top table 50% off mains and sides. We were welcomed warmly at just after 6pm - pre theatre. The bread basket was a treat in itself - tasty focaccia and flatbread. We skipped starters and both had sea bass with spinach and potato cake - absolutely delicious. Shared a vanilla cheesecake and strawberry ice crea. Both had a glass of prosecco. Bill came to £34 including service. Lovely atmosphere overlooking Holloway Head roundabout - nicer than it sounds! Will definitely return if that deal's still going06/03/2013 00:00:00Overall an okayish mealFood was above average though pricey even with deal through top table. were intitally overcharged even though I had mentioned the meal deal from onset, bill was later adjusted. Where we were sat if was quite cold and had to let them know twice before temperature control was adjusted - funny thing was that they knew it was cold in the resturant.01/03/2013 00:00:00Birthday celebrationI'd always wanted to go to the filini restaurant as the radisson is such a great building. The restaurant had low lighting but it was intimate & romantic. We went for my mums birthday for the pre theater dinner offer. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The food did take some time to come even though the restaurant wasn't busy & they were very apologetic & offered complimentary drinks. The main meal of seabass was lovely however it was a good job we ordered sides as it wouldn't have been enough. The dessert was lovely too as our complimentary item we had a scoop of ice cream each & it's the best pistachio ice cream I have ever had. All in all it was a good night & the toilets were very modern & clean23/01/2013 16:00:00Dinner for 14!Filini restaurant looked after us really well! We were showing at the NEC & took our reps for dinner, they catered brilliantly for us & did it with a smile.
Great evening where the food was thoroughly enjoyed- would definitely go back!03/09/2012 00:00:00Very Good mealMy wife and I visited Fillini on a Saturday night under the 50% off food deal. The venue has a nice bar menu for a pre dinner drink. The food was very good generally. Our shared mixed vegetable platter was superb, good flavour and cooked well. My risotto was also very good and the right texture, though quite large in portion size. My wife's fish though was overcooked and was quite a quite small portion which seemed overpriced even with the discount. The wine list is good and with a good choice of wines by the glass. Our puddings were fine and finished the meal off well. The service throughout was excellent and bordered outstanding, attentive and friendly. A good meal on the whole.28/07/2012 00:00:00We made a last minute bookingWe made a last minute booking at Filini Birmingham and were not disappointed. Service was attentive and polite; the food well presented and tasty. Fairly priced, especially for a hotel restaurant. I recommend it.12/04/2012 16:00:00We had an excellent pre-theatreWe had an excellent pre-theatre meal. It said on the menu for pork accommpanied by baby leeks but was actually spinache. We both liked spinache so there was no problem. We had a table by the window and enjoyed watching the world go by. We would recommend and will definitely go again.01/03/2012 16:00:00Fillini in Birmingham is aFillini in Birmingham is a secret treasure !
