Diner Reviews
  • "As always, this restaurant is outstanding for food and presentation. The staff are very efficient and friendly too."

  • "If you're looking for a restaurant in Putney that isn't part of a chain and you're willing to spend a bit more than average for some great authentic Italian meal then certainly put this restaurant on your short list. Smart but relaxed atmosphere with attentive but not fussy service."
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "This family-run neighbourhood restaurant provides a perfect combination of good Italian cooking, polite and efficient staff, and a friendly atmosphere. It deserves its excellent reputation locally as it has maintained a high standard for many years. The menu is well-chosen and properly explained, with useful wine recommendations from a perhaps overlong wine list. The staff politely asked a noisy party to consider others, dealt easily with the delayed arrival of one guest at the table, and overall could not be faulted."

  • "Cannot fault this excellent local restaurant. Its not cheap, but then since when was great food ever cheap? The wine list is outstanding and puts many a top West End eaterie to shame. Service is excelelnt and the staff are both knowledgeable and helpful."

  • "We go to Enoteca Turi once or twice a year and are never disappointed. It is a friendly local restaurant, upmarket but not formal, with an extensive menu and superb food. The wine selection is interesting and not too expensive and the service is friendly. Highly recommended."

  • "I have been coming to this restaurant for a number of years and i am never disappointed by it. One of the best restaurants South of the River."
    dined on 27/02/2014
  • "Always excellent and reliable, has been for over 30 years!"
    dined on 25/02/2014
  • "We have eaten at this upmarket eatery on several occasions but this time the main course was exceptionally white and unappetising and the white wine wasn't cold. The main course of fish was covered with a white potato covering and served with white celeriac puree - it desperately needed some colour! Service more raged than usual and it wasn't busy. Shame because we had a visitor with us."
    dined on 26/02/2014
  • "Enoteca Turi is our absolute favourite restaurant. The hosts are always so welcoming and attentive and the food is always excellent. Top quality seasonal products treated with finesse. Amazing wine list. Beautiful little touches on Valentines' Day too!"
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "We went for dinner as two couples. The food that night was excellent, especially my duck salad, which was absolutely melt in the mouth and seafood spaghetti also was amazing. The atmosphere and ambience there are ok. It is nice for having a conversation but not too buzzy. Service was excellent."
    dined on 20/02/2014
  • "This restaurant never fails to impress. The wines by the glass matched to each of the menu items are reasonably priced."
    dined on 15/02/2014
  • "If you are out to eat a pizza, Enoteca Turri is not for you as they specialise in offering traditional Italian food fromvarious regions (Tuscany, Venetia, etc.). The ingredients are top quality and really well prepared. One of the few Italian restaurant where you will discover what Italian food is about and it is not just pizze or pasta."
    dined on 15/02/2014
  • "One of the best ever Italian restaurant in London, parking and tube station is always a problem but it's well worth it when you enjoy the agreeable place and the absolutely lovely Italian food with delicious desserts. Well recommend for a special occasions."
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "Tables crushed together and placed in the thoroughfare. Starter took an hour to arrive despite being a set menu. A shame, I understand the need to cash in on Valentines Day but this was poor."
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "Really delicious food, good sized portions. Set menu good value, a la carte a little pricey"
    dined on 12/02/2014
  • "Excellent little place. Staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was great. They made tweaks to my dishes because I'm pregnant and it was never too much effort. We've eaten at many michelin star restaurants and this was just as good if not better."
    dined on 11/02/2014
  • "After some lovely visits to Enoteca Turi we have now had our last. The starters were OK (not stand-out). One of the mains (cod with broccoli) was a disaster. It tasted solely of broccoli which completely overpowered the cod. We asked to change that main and, whilst it was done, it wasn't necessarily with the best humour. When our bill arrived I was shocked to see that they had charged us extra for the change of main (having not mentioned anything at the time). Most restaurants would have taken it off completely as we were not happy with the dish and one of us sat eating whilst the other waited for the new course. The waiter spent the next 10 minutes arguing about the dish saying it was good unrelentingly. Very poor. Very poor indeed."

  • "I first went to eno teca turi 5 yrs ago with my husband and was immediately impressed by the feeling of "special" from the warm greeting, courteous staff, decor, table layout, beautiful flowers and impressive display of wine. The staff are prompt and attentive. Food arrives on time and is well presented. Since my first visit we have been back on numerous occasions - my fathers 70th, birthdays, to meet friends. This week I had my first lunch when I met a friend. As expected food, service and ambience was excellent. My reservations are that the menu does not reflect a wide choice for vegetarians or those who do not eat red meats and sadly on this occasion the restaurant was empty therefore the atmosphere was not memorable."

  • "After 7 years leaving in the area, we finally made it to this much talked-about restaurant and were not disappointed. It's all about the food: utterly delicious. Great pasta, great fish, great meat, great desert..."

  • "We've been going to Enoteca Turi for several years; it's wonderful."
    dined on 25/01/2014
  • "I booked a table with Enoteca Turi as I had heard good things about the place. I wasn't disappointed. Not only was the food fantastic - fresh, different and with plenty of options (but not so many you are left worrying about the quality of each of the dishes), but the ambience and the service was outstanding! I don't go out often with my partner as its often expensive and I can't always find an evening we are both free, so when I do organise something I want it to be a perfect evening. This definitely succeeded to do this. Despite a busy restaurant, we had excellent service from the moment we entered the restaurant, given a lovely table and was surprised with the extensive and unique wine list available (50 pages long!). Overall = superb."

  • "We have been going to Enoteca over the years since it first opened - and seen it evolve from a sophisticated neighbourhood Italian restaurant into a first class place to dine. It isn't cheap, but the food we have had here has always been good and is getting better. The wine i chose - a Sicilian Primitiva - was also one of the finest red wines i've tasted in months. Superb."
    dined on 22/01/2014
  • "This is a great local restaurant serving high end, fresh and innovative Italian food. The service is friendly and efficient. It's a perfect place for a family meal or a romantic night out. I'd highly recommend this restaurant."
    dined on 18/01/2014
  • "The food is not too bad (about the same as the average italian high street chain) but very expensive. Portions are quite small so you'll need to have starter, desert and sides. Service is good."
    dined on 18/01/2014
  • "Enoteca is a wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant. On this occasion, I was there for a business lunch and we both chose the fixed price menu which was very good value. The food, as ever, was excellent and was complimented by the well priced wines you can order by the glass. Enoteca is a very safe bet for lunch or dinner, whether for business or pleasure."
    dined on 17/01/2014
  • "I went to Enoteca Turi to celebrate my anniversary. I think it is the best restaurant on the Putney High Street, definetely We'll come back. Food was excellent, very tasty and well prepared. Staff was absolutely professional and very friendly."
    dined on 06/01/2014
  • "I've been to Enoteca Turi several times and it gets better and better: menu varies seasonally, selection of regional dishes is accurate, inventive and miles away from the usual bland "best of" Italian food you find everywhere in London. Excellent wine list and top service. A must."
    dined on 03/01/2014
  • "After dinner, you don't ask for a taxi because the crews call only the unauthorized ones that have high prices. Be carefull."
    dined on 02/01/2014
  • "Excellent regional Italian food, restaurant with a real buzz. Totally enjoyable."
    dined on 21/12/2013
  • "My parents were down in London for 2 nights: rather than go to a central London top name restaurant we chose to take them to Enoteca Turi in Putney: why ? : it is more intimate, you get better care and the food is / can be just as good as the top 2 star Michelin restaurants. My parents are in the wine trade so they also appreciated the exceptionally good wine list."
    dined on 16/12/2013
  • "Superlatives only in this review. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Lovely decor, discreet, friendly staff, and a menu to linger over. We opted for the set lunchtime option: white bean soup-a lushious deep flavour, and Mediterranean fish cakes with tomato sauce- light and tasty. For mains we had wild mushroom ravioli and pheasant with mash. It was all excellent. My partner said it was the best pheasant he had ever tasted- moist, tasty and plump. And he is not easy to please! We can't wait to go back. Was it expensive? Not really, if you deduct the cost of our prosecco and nibbles it came to about £30 a head including 2 glasses of wine. But remember, this was only lunch."
    dined on 14/12/2013
  • "The restuarant seems littered with awards and plaudits and though the food was good it really was nothing exceptional. The wine list far exceeds the quality of the food. Inside the restaurantitself is very noisy and almost overbearing. The lack of soft furnishings and the hardwood floor make it a noisy place to be and certainly not somewhere I would recommend for a quiet dinner"
    dined on 10/12/2013
  • "It's great to find a restaurant that wants you to enjoy yourself. From the moment you arrive to when you leave you are looked after with care and attention. This is a family run venue and you become part of the family. It obviously helps that the food is attentively prepared. It's not one of those "over the top" Italian venues where the owner/manager is everyone's best friend for a couple of hours and clearly has his favourite diners. This is classy Italian food in a part of London needy of more quality restaurants like Enoteca."
    dined on 06/12/2013
  • "Great food served by enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff - we will be back again...soon!"
    dined on 29/11/2013
  • "we went on a busy Saturday evening. it was busy but not packed and gave a nice ambience. the food was delicious. some of us took the white truffle menu, which worked well in parts. as it happens, it was actually the black truffle risotto that was outstanding"
    dined on 23/11/2013
  • "Having lived in Putney for four years, it never occurred to us to check out Enoteca Turi. What a mistake! We went for Saturday night dinner and were astonished with the quality and ambience. As all best Italian restaurants, the exterior is unassuming but everything else is just great! Central Putney is not very sophisticated when it comes to restaurants so Enoteca Turi really stands out in terms or food, service, wine list! The clientele was mostly affluent middle aged+ which for us meant that the place can be trusted. the menu was very intriguing, the food was outstanding, wine list is out of this world, the service very attentive. The toilet could have been bigger. Will definitely go again and bring friends and family."
    dined on 16/11/2013
  • "We wanted mark a special occasion with a booking at this restaurant. It did not disappoint, the food was excellent and interesting dishes and service impeccable. We will definitely go again but not too often as it is pricey"
    dined on 15/11/2013
  • "Very good restaurant with fresh and good food very well coked. Only problem very far from London Center."
    dined on 12/11/2013
  • "If you're a big fan of white truffle and want to indulge this season then suggest to avoid this restaurant. The £22 price tag for 3gr of the white stuff is excessive especially when it's not weighted at the table (like they do in other good Italian restaurants). Felt like a ripoff and the service on the evening was rather clumsy and not up to scratch.. So the answer is, not to truffle.."
    dined on 09/11/2013
  • "A really lovely evening - great wine list and reasonable value. Beautifully prepared food with really well balanced flavours and some really interesting combinations."
