Had an amazing time at East Way.
Good service and we were not rushed from our table once we'd finished eating. Lots of time to chat with friends in a quiet setting"
dined on 11/04/2014
We really loved our lunch here.
The Greek waiter Chris was charming and very helpful. Apparently the deal as offered through Toptable had finished, but they were still able to honour it and all three courses were delicious, particularly the fish. Our only quibble was that wine, although good, was very expensive. All in all,a very relaxing experience and will definitely be returning."

There are not many options for
supper on a Sunday evening in the City but the Eastway is certainly one to try. Nothing fancy but the food was well presented and the staff were excellent."

I came across an article giving
the top 10 hotel breakfasts over the world, and Eastway was one of them. It also said that they served unlimited mimosa for £19. Sold. Unfortunately, brunch was massively disappointing. Food was meh and way to expensive. But what annoyed me the most was the manager, who didn't want me to get their bottomless deal after having already ordered a drink. Very poor service."
dined on 23/02/2014
The Eastway was perfect for a
breakfast meeting with clients. The service was attentive but never overbearing, even though we had to stay much longer than expected due to one of our party being very late in turning up. Every time I go there it is always busy for breakfast - being attached to the Andaz will partly explain that but it also gives an idea of how popular it is."
dined on 03/04/2014
Venue is nice and modern. Service
is impeccable and the food was very good! Definitely good value for money especially considering it's location in the City."
dined on 01/04/2014
Sunday morning breakfast in the
City was hard to find, but this place served a great cooked breakfast, good coffee and attentive service."
dined on 23/03/2014
Had a business breakfast there and
always get a consistent standard of service and food there. It was packed at breakfast time and shows that it has a healthy patronage."
dined on 21/03/2014
Eastway @ Andaz - booked for a
breakfast meeting for my Manager. Good place for an informal meeting. Not too noisy, service good."
dined on 19/03/2014
Good lunchtime restaurant. Service
is friendly and accommodating (e.g. we both asked for slight variations on the menu and it was not a problem). Accessible location, a few steps from Liverpool Street. Food was served promptly and well-presented. Nice buzz, but not too loud - we could hear ourselves talk ! Would recommend."
dined on 12/03/2014
I had arranged to meet my niece at
Liverpool St for coffee on Saturday 15th March and wanted to find somewhere a little more special than the run-of-the mill coffee shop. I discovered Eastway at Andaz or, as I remember it, The Great Easten Hotel! We were not disappointed. As I was waiting, I was offered a hot drink and a newspaper. On arrival, my niece and I both chose to have Eggs Benedict, which was excellent! The ambience and background music were perfect and we will certainly meet there again. I now intend to have lunch or dinner there at some point and am sure that they will be equally first-rate. I would definitely recommend a visit to Eastway."
dined on 15/03/2014
Location wise, it's brilliant. By
Liverpool Street Station opposite M & S and Holland & Barrett. Service was very good. Waiters come around often to make sure everyone's request was attended to. Had the 3 course set menu which was standard, not exclusive to Toptable. Good menu. Chose pork brawn (starter), slow roasted Lamb belly (lovely main) and red velvet cake (dessert)"
dined on 14/02/2014
Eastway provides excellent food in
a very relaxed yet formal surrounding. Highly recommended for business lunches or dinners."
dined on 20/02/2014
I have eaten here before, and the
standards have dropped a little, but it is still good value."
dined on 15/02/2014
The food is very good and cooked
just fine, not too much or too little. The staff are very helpful and very polite. The restaurant is well decorated and overall a great place to eat."
dined on 14/02/2014
This was a new Taste Card
restaurant so I was excited to try it. My husband and I went there over Valentine's day and it was a great find! I have a gluten allergy and they catered to it beautifully, they even brought out GF bread before the meal! What a hit. The prices were very reasonable with the TC and we both enjoyed our dishes. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We will certainly be back and will recommend! Thanks!"
dined on 14/02/2014
Had a breakfast meeting at
Eastway. Great friendly service, very organised and efficient with a nice menu, sensible pricing and delicious food. Fast, efficient and tasty."
dined on 06/02/2014
Had a wonderful meal from the set
menu. The pork cheeks were outstanding. Service was swift and efficient. Portions a good size and food was hot when served. A thoroughly enjoyable evening."
dined on 31/01/2014
First class food, excellent
service across the board, highly recommended!"

I dont know why every restaurant
in London seems to think that people want to eat a meal while feeling that you are in a disco. We definitely got that feeling on our visit to this place. People were shouting at their lunch companions just to be heard. We should have left but stuck it out. The music didnt get any lower, just no more thumping drum beats. Now the food - unremarkable and my beef was a bit overdone. We also waited for ages for our bill and when we requested it the waitress forgot and we waited again for ages. We had to get back to work! There's really no reason to return there with so many other places to eat in the Liverpool Street area. A bit of a disappointment."
dined on 16/01/2014
The tuna steak was out of this
world and rosemary chips, a great addition. Lovely. We had an over attentive waiter somewhat. He picked my (not finished) wine glass up twice with me having to wrestle it back. When it was finished and I asked him to take it, as not much space on table, he smiled and walked off presumably not understanding what I was saying. I then had to put it on the window sill. Food was lovely and waitress/waiter not unpleasant by any means but just for info."
dined on 14/01/2014
Good value if you go for the set
menu. Always find the service a little slow, especially once it starts to fill up with the lunch crowd. Not the place to go for a quick lunch."
dined on 15/11/2013
We dined at Eastway last Friday
evening and bothe opted for the set menu at £20 for 3 courses. We didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised as the food was wonderful. I'm not a pudding person but had the hazelnut and pecan tart to finish and can only describe that as wow! My cod main was cooked to perfection, my husbands pork belly was (he said and he's very fussy about his pork!) the best he's had. The only downside for us was that it was very quiet and lacking in atmosphere. Based on the food a place like this should be packed out! altogether though a good experience."
dined on 10/01/2014
Good restaurant in an outstanding
hotel. Food was good but portions too small."
dined on 31/12/2013
Had Christmas Dinner there at
night and it was lovely. Really good service, 3 course menu and a bottle of wine with the wife. The service was really good, nice ambience and very nice and speedy food. Would highly recommend it for a company Christmas Dinner, or anyone who lives in the east and doesn't want to have to cook Christmas Dinner or who is overseas on Christmas Day."
dined on 25/12/2013
Wasn't expecting much but food was
delicious and nice ambiance also. Would go again."
dined on 18/12/2013
Food was good, service very good,
but the table was a bit rickety and the wine a bit on the pricey side. Overall, does the job, but probably a bit too functional in decor and ambience for the (good) quality of the food."
dined on 13/12/2013
Took a dear friend out for a
birthday meal we have the specialand it was nicely cooked, large portion, and niceambience -not too loud butnice background noise.Staff were friendlyand it was good value. My friend loved it. Even though it is a busy time of year we weren't rushed off our table either so it was nice and relaxing."
dined on 13/12/2013
Excellent service, very
accommodating and attentive. I asked if they had any gluten free bread as it wasn't on the menu and it wasn't a problem to make changes to the order. Good venue for business breakfast/meetings or brunches would highly recommend as venue and menu."
dined on 10/12/2013
Good Xmas dinner with work
colleagues, would recommend a visit."
dined on 04/12/2013
I would not recommend this
restaurant to future diners. You'll have a better night at another hotel restaurant."

We stopped for a quick meal @ 1930
Sunday before sending our daughter off on her train. We were in quite a hurry-dinner under one hour. My husband had lamb shank-ate every bite-rare for this picky guy. A Caesar salad w/ chicken our Dtr-well done. Our son had burger and fries; proclaimed delicious! My spaghetti w/ smoked salmon & crème fraiche was absolutely wonderful; plus side of spinach-surprisingly well done. Nice selection of beer, wine, and soda. Attentive and very efficient staff. We had a very nice meal quickly, without feeling rushed at all. Very fair price as well. Several couples & groups were enjoying more leisurely time. Wish we had known about this place on several previous trips to London. We will return."
dined on 01/12/2013
Relaxed place with decent light
menu, food and drinks are good. Its nothing fancy but a good place to catch a nice relaxing meal in the City. Its not stuffy and the service is brisk and quick - not alot of waiting around which is nice. The menu had good variety and was nicely done. Not too much frivilous food and a good portion of hearty salads too."
dined on 22/11/2013
We eat at Eastway fairly often as
it is close to the office. The food is always reliably good but this time the service was a let down. We asked for a minor change to one of the dishes and this appeared to cause a real problem for our waiter. He checked with the kitchen and it was of course fine but he had created quite a drama for us to get to that point."
dined on 22/11/2013
Nice, simple menu, not too many
options, well cooked and served promptly. Ideal for a short, sharp business conversation over lunch."
dined on 18/11/2013
Well prepared good value creative
dishes in a friendly atmosphere"
dined on 14/11/2013
Not a bad place at all. Food was
tasty. If you're around Liverpool street then its great as its round the corner from the McDonalds exit. Nice hotel. Attentive staff."
dined on 18/10/2013
Took a Belgian colleague there &
he was very impressed. Good choice of food. Excellent staff, who really understood all our needs.. 2 mins to Liverpool St train platforms, so ideal for pre-train meals."
dined on 08/10/2013
A 175 ml glass of average Malbec
for £9. Ouch The food, however, is reasonably priced and very tasty."
dined on 27/09/2013
Food & service very good although
restaurant very quiet on a Wednesday evening. However as a group of 6, we were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great location particularly if you are meeting up with friends from out of town - right beside Liverpool St station. Bring a cushion - seats hard!"
