Dinner by Heston BlumenthalOutstanding lunch!We ate here on Monday lunch time and it was a great experience from start to finish! All the staff were relaxed, friendly and knowledgable about the menu! Highllights of the meal were the meat fruit starter which was like nothing we had tasted before in texture and taste! The black foot pork chop was also cooked perfectly along with my partners steak! Before the deserts we opted to order the ice cream trolley for afterwards ! Standout desert and not to be missed was the pineapple tipsy cake (large enough to share)! When the ice cream trolley then arrived it was made infront of us at the table using liquid nitrogen and is definitely worth the extra money!! We started our meal with the lamb broth and scallop appetizers - great flavor in the broth, followed by the filet of beef and the ribeye.
Visiting from a "steak city" such as Chicago I would say the dry aged meat was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the green beans and shallots - great flavor!
Whereas the wine list was generally sound but with many expensive options - we followed the sommelier's recommendation of a South African blend of Italian and French varietals - truly excellent for both our courses.
We can't comment on dessert but enjoyed the tea selection.

The beautiful, light-filled room has and big windows overlooking Hyde Park. Service is fantastic, without being overly formal. We blew our budgets completely by going with the sommelier's recommendations of wine for each course - which was a great thing to do and made the experience even better. Friendly service followed by a nice table overlooking Hyde Park. We'd anticipated that the food would be great, but every one of our three courses exceded our expectations. The quality and freshness of ingredients, innovative combinations of flavours and beautiful presentation were exceptional. In addition to the exquisite food, the service was exemplary - friendly, attentive, informative, never overbearing. When I arrived I mentioned to the member of staff who greeted us that it was my brother's birthday, and the waiter who served us wished him with a Happy Birthday, and at the end of the meal he was presented with a signed menu as a souvenir. She was that excited she got " teary" on me, and the food and staff did not let you down. The whole experience was amazing, from my savory porridge entree to her Tipsy cake dessert. ( She is coeliac but chose to break her strict diet of 7 years for the experience, and assures me it was so nice any consequences will be worthwhile.)The wine the service the attention were all 10 out of 10.

From arrival to leaving the entire experience was completely beyond even our highest expectations, the food was incredible, the portions were perfect, the tastes were perfectly placed and the service could not have been more perfect.

Well, we showed up again Sunday and I was reminded again why it is my favorite spot in London. The service is by far the best I have encountered in London. They walk a fine balance between professional and friendly and make you feel like they remember you from the last time you were in to visit. They also handled our 7 month old child perfectly and waited until we were ready (diaper changes, feedings etc) before they brought out our next course. Bravo Dinner Team. The staff remembered us that had been there a year before but that we had to leave and could not finish our meal, which was really impressive.
