  • "We went for dinner with our 5 yr-old and we got a table facing the beautiful Hyde Park. The menu selection is fantastic. They are also able to prepare kids' meal off the menu. Their dessert Tipsy Cake is a must-try and it takes 40 min to prepare, so do order ahead of time. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent!!!! Will definitely be back!!!"

  • "My partner and I enjoyed a rare break from our two young children by spending some time and a considerable sum of money at Dinner. The delicate, seafood dishes (grilled Octopus & roast Turbot), were outstanding. The savoury porridge (frogs legs) was good but at £17,00 a pop, the portion was really rather meager. Spiced pigeon was ok and but some distance from warranting the £36 price tag. Service was excellent as were the cocktails and choice of wines by the glass to accompany the meal. All in all, a good experience significantly bolstered by the friendly and professional attention of the the staff. The food has the potential to excite but I can't justify the price tag."

  • "I booked at Dinner about 5 months ago, and it was a real experience. From the excellent and attentive service to the delicate and perfectly-cooked meals, Dinner met our expectations. The original Heston-Meatfruit was a delight (both the parfait, whom you could taste chicken having roasted with thyme, and the crunchy bread), such as the Salamugundy. The cider sauce with the cod amazing, and same must be said for the roast turbot (the only detail that bothered us was the salmon roe, pretty strong-flavoured). Special mention to the 4-hours roasted pineapple, that balanced the sweetness of the tipsy cake. The poached rhubarb was very well researched and married perfectly with the yogurt cream. Compliments to the chefs and the waiters' teams."

  • "We had a great time at Dinner. We were kindly greeted at the door of Mandarin Oriental, but only after we had looked for a sign of the restaurant on every side of the hotel. We were taken to the bar to wait, they weren't quite ready on time, but we expected that. We ordered a drink, and waited in the hotel bar. Once led to our table inside, it pretty much was amazing. The dishes were generously portioned, and tasted excellent. I loved the Rice and Flesh, and also the Tipsy Cake. I had chicken for main, it was good, and the gravy and puree that came with it was amazing. The staff was lovely - friendly, helpful and professional. We sat by the kitchen, and that was even better than an outside view since we got to see how the food was made."

I followed this with a fillet steak - blue, and it was cooked to perfection. The service is friendly and impeccable. Five stars to all for making a superb evening."

  • "I visited this restaurant with my husband last Saturday evening. Our table was booked for 6.30 which was a lovely time to go as you get the advantage of seeing the restaurant and views over Regents Park in the daylight as well as experiencing the ambiance after dark. The food and the service were amazing. I would thoroughly recommend a visit. It's not cheap, but definitely worth it for a special occasion!"

  • "I had high expectations of dinner and I was not disappointed. The meat fruit was stunningly smooth and tasted amazing, the iberico pork was phenomenal, You've gotta try the mash it's beyond comprehension. The hardest part was deciding on dessert so we all ordered two each and shared. They were all mind blowing. Some more than others. Firm favourites being the tipsy cake, the apple tart and the Sussex pond pudding. We even were given Heston's famous nitrogen ice cream which was incredible and finally the amouse bouche was deep and complex."

  • "We dined here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. They made it very special. We requested a table overlooking the park, which was lovely. We both chose the meat fruit to start, which was absolutely gorgeous, not to be missed. My husband had the cod in cider and I had the steak for main, both good. Then we opted for the tipsy pudding which was also lovely. Finally we had the ice cream made at the table. Very theatrical! The service was impeccable, with staff attending to our every need with a smile. I'd love to go back!"

  • "Despite problems with booking due to past tube strikes and the restaurant being closed, our visit to Dinner was an extremely enjoyable experience. We went for a mid week lunch and ate from the a la carte menu. The food was excellent with a range of interesting flavours. The meat fruit was particularly innovative and good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and answered any questions we had on the dishes. It wasn't a cheap lunch, especially with wine, but we have spent more and not enjoyed the food or the experience so much.There is a set three course lunch for £38 which would be a cheaper option. The dining room overlooks Hyde Park and has a comfortable and relaxing feel to it. We would certainly return to this restaurant."

  • "Only four stars for food as partner found the cod undercooked to her liking and being a fussy pescatarian, once she had seen the vein's in the fish, it put her off. They could not of offered better service, sincere, very caring and very accommodating. Four stars for value as a link to all round enjoyment. Would go again and would recommend!"

It was an ok meal but forgettable. tHe next night we ate at Gauthier which although did not have a michelin star was a far superior to this."

  • "My husband and I had a delicious meal here. The waiting staff are very attentive and describe the menu in an enthusiastic and well informed way. We had the buttered crab loaf and frumenty to start - both had an interesting mix of flavours which worked well together. I had pork belly for main which was delicious, although I was jealous of my husband's ribeye steak which he described as the best steak he'd ever eaten. The mushroom ketchup and triple cooked chips were very more-ish. The desserts were good, but the mains and starters were the highlight. We had tea and a delicious choc mousse after our lunch."

  • "This was a treat for my birthday. The staff were aware of this and treated us so well.They explained the concept of the food and the sommelier was excellent in her choice of wines. The place was very busy as you would expect for a restaurant of this calibre. They didn't rush you and felt like we were the most important diners in the restaurant.The food was outstanding You won't leave here hungry. It's expensive but for the whole dining experience it was worth it. This is the place to take someone for that special occasion.I got a special birthday surprise with a chocolate dessert with happy birthday on it. We were invited to tour the kitchens. This was a very nice touch. I was grinning from ear to ear all night. I didn't want it to end."

  • "We had our first wedding anniversary celebration at Dinner. All the dishes were excellent, both taste and presentation were perfect. We had a table by the window with the view on a Hyde Park and received a compliment from the chef for our special occasion in a form of a sorbet. That was a lovely touch. The only thing is that the prices are very high even for a Michelin-stared restaurant. But I have to say that the service and location is exceptional!"

  • "took my boyfriend for a birthday business lunch. the food was amazing and the service was impeccable and really friendly. we are one of those couples that take pictures of everything (instagramers) and they were really cool about it. the only thing i would recommend is that you skip the ice-cream dessert- just not worth the money (8 pound a scoop).. it's okay but they price it more for the show of it and since all the other tables around us took it, we watched the "show" quite a few times. BUT dont pass on the tipsy cake- most amazing dessert i've ever had!"

  • "My wife and I have been fortunate enough to have eaten at 15 Michelin three star restaurants in our foodie travels. We recently ate at The Fat Duck. It is hard to describe how extraordinary the experience was. Only Grant Achatz's Alinea in our home town of Chicago and Thomas Keller's French Laundry in Yountville are its peer. I will summarize the evening by saying it was perfect."

The staff were attentive. the only thing i would say is that they were a bit too chatty - we did nt really want to discuss the history of food or recipe books but felt we had to in order to be polite. I much preferred this to the tasting menu at The Fat Duck because I could enjoy the flavours without overeating. Good Luck In Australia, I'm sure it will be a huge success."

Please order the tipsy cake, the perfect ending of our meal. Everybody was very friendly and went out of their way to elaborate on the dishes or the history of the restaurant. But in the end I felt a little rushed, because everybody was speaking so quickly, it made it hard for us to understand."

  • "Truly one of the best meals I've had in London. The Meat Fruit completely lived up to the hype and was excellent, as was everything else that we ordered. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and revealed layers of flavor. Service was friendly and attentive but did not cross the line to overbearing. There are many restaurants out there with rave reviews that turn out to be duds; Dinner is definitely not one of them!"
