The beautiful, light-filled room has and big windows overlooking Hyde Park. Service is fantastic, without being overly formal. We went for the set lunch menu which is really good value at £36 for three courses. The food was excellent, especially the fish dishes and the desserts. We blew our budgets completely by going with the sommelier's recommendations of wine for each course - which was a great thing to do and made the experience even better. Be prepared though, wine here is very expensive! Friendly service followed by a nice table overlooking Hyde Park. There was not a lot of waiting between courses, some free bread (very crusty and hard) with butter was provided and a nice small chocolate dessert with a biscuit was provided to finish.

There are 6 sommeliers at any time so plenty of attention there as well. Good value wines on the menu. We'd anticipated that the food would be great, but every one of our three courses exceded our expectations. The quality and freshness of ingredients, innovative combinations of flavours and beautiful presentation were exceptional. In addition to the exquisite food, the service was exemplary - friendly, attentive, informative, never overbearing. When I arrived I mentioned to the member of staff who greeted us that it was my brother's birthday, and the waiter who served us wished him with a Happy Birthday, and at the end of the meal he was presented with a signed menu as a souvenir. To say we came from Australia specifically is stretching the truth, but we did come from Rome to London before returning to Australia specifically for the dining experience. She was that excited she got " teary" on me, and the food and staff did not let you down. The whole experience was amazing, from my savory porridge entree to her Tipsy cake dessert. ( She is coeliac but chose to break her strict diet of 7 years for the experience, and assures me it was so nice any consequences will be worthwhile.)The wine the service the attention were all 10 out of 10.

The food was perfectly cooked and presented and absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding and our waiter was very friendly. After explaining that we were from Australia and loved Heston's shows, we were offered a tour of the kitchen which was a great ending to our evening and much appreciated. I read through lots of reviews, some bad but the majority excellent so booked up ready for the day.
From arrival to leaving the entire experience was completely beyond even our highest expectations, the food was incredible, the portions were perfect, the tastes were perfectly placed and the service could not have been more perfect.

Well, we showed up again Sunday and I was reminded again why it is my favorite spot in London. The service is by far the best I have encountered in London. They walk a fine balance between professional and friendly and make you feel like they remember you from the last time you were in to visit. They also handled our 7 month old child perfectly and waited until we were ready (diaper changes, feedings etc) before they brought out our next course. Bravo Dinner Team. I believe dinner bookings on Fridays and Saturdays are extremely hard to get but its more than worth the wait. Pros: Excellent service, extensive wine & cocktails list, SUPERB desserts. The desserts stole the show. The Meat Fruit was excellent, too.
Cons: Dinner's reputation is for innovative ways to cook old recipes. However, we had difficulty choosing mains because we could imagine what they would taste like. When they did arrive, they were as expected. The food was presented normally, without creativity.

The menu looked very appealing. We both were very happy with our choices and considered both starters and one of the main courses as exceptional and memorable.
A very nice wine list with a good choice of wines by the glass was presented by a very knowledgeable and enthousiastic sommelier.
Staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful throughout the dinner.
Although the restaurant is quite large the atmosphere is relaxed; the open kitchen is an attraction in itself.
Without any doubt this dinner was memorable and one of the best dinner experiences ever.
Last but not least we received excellent value for money.

The main meal portions were larger than anticipated and the "Tipsy Cake" dessert was to die for. We were a little unsure of which wine would best compliment the Pork, the advice of the sommelier was perfect & interestingly enough, his choice was way cheaper than ours!
