The march of very, smart, modern and intriguing eastern restaurants in London continues apace with the arrival of Koba, handy for the Dominion, the British Museum, and all the booty of furniture-design-land around NoHo. Koba offers a lovely dining room with minimalist decor in a style that's very now. The Korean menu includes its speciality of table BBQ, as well as beautifully-presented dishes like Samsaek milssam(korean style wrapped pancakes with meat & vegetables stuffing) to start. Next go for the BBQ of Koba modeum gooi(grand assortment of meat, prawn & vegetables) or try something different such as yookhwei dolsot bibimbap(steam rice with raw beef & vegetables in a korean stone pot) or busut mandoo jeongol(mushroom casserole with dumpling & various mushrooms).

Koba is a fantastic Yaki Niku, excellent service, superb food and above all alot of fun! Friendly staff who are very attentive but not overly so, my girlfriend enjoyed it alot and thought it was perfect for a birthday meal! If you like food that may be slightly out of your comfort zone, baby octopus and ox tounge to name a few, all cooked right in the middle of your table then dont hesitate to visit Koba!!!

We brought a group of 16 to Koba for a leaving party, and they treated us very well, especially since a number of people had never eaten Korean food before. The portions at Koba are generous, so if you're having a starter, sharing your mains - the barbecue, of course - is the best way to go. The waitstaff are attentive, friendly and accommodating. This was my second visit and I'll be returning. Often.

Our second time at Koba, and as usual the food was excellent. Would recommend the smoked duck salad to start with and the pork belly bulgogi.

Koba is rather different to usual restaurants. I went with a group of girls and we enjoyed a great range of meat and fish cooked on hot plates in front of us. Waiters helpful advising what to what to eat and always busy bringing more food out.! V.sociable meal, would go again just for the scallops, lovely.

We went for lunch and had the lunch barbeque, which was both delicious and an experience! The service was swift and friendly, with waitstaff more than willing to explain what you had to do and which sauces went with what. I would definitely go again, but perhaps when I have more time to spare.

Different and delicious! The menu at Koba provided a good change from the norm. Three of us shared two starters (plenty!) - both of which were really good. One was a seafood pancake (more fritatta like though) and the other was spicy beef pancakes. The barbeque for the main is a must - we had prawns. beef and pork - all very good and the waiter showed us how to wrap them in lettuce and add the sauces. Would definitely recommend !

Koba offers a very diverse and pleasant menu with a high level of friendly service in a contemporary yet unpretentious setting. Highly recommended and the Ox tongue is worth trying.
