This cosy branch of the popular Thai Square chain does exactly what it says on the tin. A forever-busy Thai restaurant on a small street connecting Wardour and Dean Streets, it's more often than not packed with jolly crowd too busy chatting, eating and having a good time to care much about the rather basic décor. A consistently good menu is based on an affordable assembly of pan-fried dishes, curries and reliable noodle dishes such as pad Thai and a particularly tasty gang mussamun (with potatoes and peanuts). Highlights of a strong veggie selection include a sweet n' satisfying toa hoo pad khing (pan fried bean curd). Service is genuinely friendly. Top choice for a quick good value bite.

Soho Thai is a great place for some good quality Thai food just off the buzz of the main drag - it's pretty small so booking ahead is crucial as it fills up. I've been there several times as it's convenient and I keep going back because the quality doesn't falter. The staff are efficient and what it lacks in outstanding aestheticism it makes up for in proper authentic fare. For a little place, it does the trick.

We decided to pay a visit to Soho Thai on Friday evening after some positive words from friends who'd been. On arrival the restaurant was very busy which did help give the place a nice buzz. We found the service willing, but a bit disorganised as they had several people waiting on our table, meaning we were asked several times if we has ordered drinks, etc. The food was tasty, good value and the menu varied - we noticed they had many vegetarian options also. The food and service was good, but the food wasn't that hot! You dont get a huge amount of food either which means you need to order more dishes so although the food is reasonably priced you end up spending just as much. They added the service charge to the credit card without asking which I think is a bit cheeky.
