This place seems to pick up a bit of a buzz after 1pm, with a lot of corporate lunches and a friendly almost informal atmosphere. The only thing letting this place down is the toilets - a little like what you might expect to find in a local town hall! Excellent service though, and delightful food!

Fantastic food - the duck is mouthwatering. Coupled with great, attentive service I highly recommend this restaurant. It was our first visit and we will be back.

I have eaten at Elena's L'Etoile before and it never fails to win me over. The food is fantastic - my favourite is their scallops - amazing! The atmosphere is warm and hospitable, and such a lovely change from the array of modern minimalistic retaurants popping up around Charlotte Street. Would definitely recommend it!

Don't be fooled by the somewhat old fashioned decor and ambience - the food is is very good and the service top notch. Quieter than most places in Charlotte St so good for when you don't want noise and bustle while you dine.

Elena's E'toile was a lovely place to lunch - excellent service and highly attentive waiters, with a lovely mix of staple classics and something a little more unusual. The duck breast with orange and blueberry sauce was cooked to perfection.

Love this brasserie restaurant and its staunchly 20th century feel. It's got character and history - the food was hearty yet unslovenly, the service efficient yet warm, and the photos of celebrity patrons plentiful. And enthusiastically signed. Sitting under the watchful gaze of John Hurt and the Duchess of York, the steak was the best I've had for a long time, the pepper & mushroom sauce spot-on. Couldn't face pud. Next time. Bravo, mes braves!

We went to Elena's L'Etolie on a Friday of the bank holiday weekend. Great location on Charlotte St, decent food and the service was efficient and very friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant was very quiet so lacking in a bit of atmosphere, however, I would definitely give this place another go. Not outstanding but certainly worth a try.

It's my first visit to Elena's L'Etoile for a while. We were seated at the very back of the restaurant which has never happened before. This meant it was very difficult to catch the waiters eye it took me ages to order a drink for my guest. But when you can get their attention the waiters were attentive. Food was good, but not outstanding. OK for a business lunch not sure I would want to take friends their to dine.

Elena's L'Etoile has great traditional french food, in quirky surroundings, right in the centre of town, but a quiet spot.
