Dawsons @ The Castle HotelSpecial TreatWe booked Dawsons in Conwy in advance to celebrate my youngest daughters birthday and we were not disappointed. On arrival we relaxed in the lounge and enjoyed pre lunch drinks. We were given menus to view ordered some "nibbles" during our deliberations. The quality of the food is outstanding and worth the expense. At no stage did we feel rushed and having ordered our lunch we were given time between courses as requested. The staff are always polite and efficient and paid particular attention to my daughter due to her birthday, even decorating the table with confetti, and arriving with a cake complete with sparkling fountain all at no cost. I would recommend Dawsons every time for those wishing to indulge.12/05/2013 00:00:00One of nicest lunchesHave not been here for couple of years but will definitely be returning. Lovely food and great service and value for money.19/04/2013 00:00:00Top quality Food and Service! The food here was absolutely superb in our opinion. It is certainly not cheap but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality and service. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We hope to visit again when we are in the Conwy vicinity. Highly recommended!23/03/2013 00:00:00Great food, great serviceWe had mussels to start, they were cooked beautifully. Fish pie and rib eye for main we're also faultless. The service as always was perfect. Can't wait to go back16/03/2013 00:00:00Highly recommend! The menu was excellent and I felt great value for money for the quality. Another excellent point to make is how they mark their menu with plenty of gluten free options, which is very rare and reassures people who have coeliacs that they can eat out with friends/family without having to worry, high praise for that!!
Will definitely be dining at the Castle again!!15/03/2013 00:00:00Good service and good food.We took my mum to Dawsons for Lunch on Mothering Sunday; service was efficient and warm, food was great. Not a cheap option but you get the food and the service that you have paid for. We will go back for a special occasion again.
The lamb roast was great (not even a raised eyebrow when my mum asked for a Yorkshire pudding to be added; and halfway through the meal the extra jug of gravy arrived in just moments with a smile). And the yorkshire-pud was delicious! The haddock&chorizo risotto was fabulous. The Chocolate Assiette was out of this world and the Eton Mess also was devoured down to the last smidge of cream! There was a great choice of Welsh cheese, a fair selection of Gins and decent whiskys too.
On-line table booking worked well.10/03/2013 00:00:00Best EverThe food was one of the best ever meals Ive ever had ,i would defiantly recommend it to anyone going to Conway ,i will make a return visit. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us .Thanks very much from a very very happy customer.16/02/2013 00:00:00Lazy SundayThe Castle Hotel is perfect for a lazy stressfree Sunday lunch. Excellent food, in lovely surroundings. The service is attentive but not rushed. You can enjoy your wine and conversation over the wonderful food. Plenty of choice from the extensive menu.12/01/2013 16:00:00Pot luck turns out trumpsArrived late for first time Christmas holiday in Conwy and Dawson's was only place we could book with half decent reviews. Food was fantastic and 3 course set meal great value at £28.50. Lamb rump gorgeous and cheese board very generous. The service, restaurant and bar were warm and welcoming. Recommended.21/12/2012 16:00:00After checking the reviewsAfter checking the reviews and menus we decided to head to Dawsons for our Saturday night meal on a weekend trip to Wales. The food was tasty and the atmosphere boisterous as a couple of other tables were celebrating birthdays. The service was good and dishes were inventive. The cheese souffle was more sponge than souffle, but was tasty nonetheless. The seafood chowder was also tasty although not very traditionally made. The hotel has a lot of charming character also, so we had a lovely time27/01/2012 16:00:00
