Diner Reviews
  • "Fine dining as it should be! The food was superb, the wine list a joy, with service being attentive. The restaurant atmosphere and setting smart but relaxing and you know you are dining somewhere special. I would definitely suggest it is one for special occasions and to treat that someone special."

  • "Having travelled from Sydney where I thought the restaurants were excellent, this was far superior overall. The service was outstanding and so well organised. The food was exquisite, as were the cocktails and wine. I highly recommend the rhubarb souffle. It has a simple elegant feel to the restaurant. Thank you to the staff for their excellent food and service."

  • "We really enjoyed our first visit to Corrigans. I asked for a quiet table - and it was excellent with a lovely view of the entire restaurant and long bar. The window seat was also very pleasant. Service was good (even over the top a bit). Food was fantastic. I had the scallops and the turbot. Both were excellent. My friend also enjoyed hers. Portions were large. Desserts were delicious (I had the rhubarb crumble). We will definitely go back and I would highly recommend it, Overall cost was £169 for two without wine but it was a memorable meal and everything was perfect. I had some nice tea and this was served in a proper silver tea-pot :)"

  • "Enjoyed a superb 3 course lunch for £29 a head. Excellent 3 choices for each corse and the chicken dish was as good as I have had anywhere. Strongly reccomend you try it."

  • "We arrived late due to traffic (should have given more time , my mistake.) but the lovely receptionist made us very welcome , Head waiter very helpful but at times , over the top .We would have liked the wine to have been opened at the table and not at the station. Waiters were a little bit over staffed became annoying as males kept leering at my good woman ( yes she is very good looking and very smartly dressed . The food was excellent , the Sea Bass a bit on the small side , but the beef , plentiful and top quality , desserts to die for , you must try the Pannacotta . £4.00 cover charge , a bit petty. Yes I am picky , but I am entitled to be so . I will recommend Corrigan's to all my friends ."

  • "Friendly, amazing experience. We had the taster menu, but one of the courses was not to our taste, they offered to change it and even changed the wine to match. Fantastic food, first class service from this fine dining restaurant. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "We were visiting London and had asked a barrister friend of ours to recommend some restaurants and one of them was Corrigan's. We're very happy to have chosen this one. The standard of the food was superb and we had flawless service throughout. It was an extremely enjoyable dining experience and we'll be back again next time we're in London."

  • "Great looking restaurant with fantastic food, interesting wine list, and good ambience. Unfortunately my wife wasn't hungry enough for the tasting menu but we will definitely have to come back for that."

  • "serving staff were excellent, attentive without being intrusive. Food was very good, if a little pricey. We had a centre table, the tables around the edges are better."

  • "Would have liked a cozy lounge area to sit for a pre meal drink, as opposed to sitting at the bar. The staff were wonderful, knowledgeable and made time for us. We felt very well looked after."

  • "£450 for 4 people, 1 of whom is vegetarian, 1 bottle of wine (100) . Tasty but tiny portions and none of us are big or with big appetites. Have eaten in west end restaurants with these prices but have walked away feeling positive about the eating experience, this was just OK. Try it for yourself though."

  • "I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The presentation is beautiful, bread served hot in terracotta pots, the amuse-bouche were simply delicious! The gnocchi was the best I've ever had. And the dessert was to die for!!"

  • "We had a very memorable day at Corrigans yesterday, a lunch to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. From the champagne we had on arrival at the bar, to the cheese and port we had at the end of our meal, we were there for 4 hours. The service is impeccable, waiters appeared from nowhere to bring us our food, and with a choice of either a seasonal menu at £29 for 3 courses or the a la carte menu to choose from, we sampled some truly amazing dishes. The restaurant itself was very quiet, after the main lunch diners left after 2pm, there were only a few other tables occupied, but we were left to ourselves and never felt hurried or rushed. The decor was elegant and luxurious, and we felt very spoilt in the beautiful dining room."

  • "Ate here as a special occasion. Starters weren't great. Perigord salad with truffles had no sign of truffle (which has an unmistakeable smell) - suspect it had been forgotten! Main courses were very good, guinea fowl with morels and lamb with chanterelles excellent. Wine is expensive and mixed experience with the staff - some lovely, one (middle aged balding guy) came across haughty and distant. Needs customer service training. Overall experience, fair-to-middling. Would expect better at these prices. Atmosphere was a bit quiet but we didn't arrive until 2pm which could help explain that. Wouldn't go again - there is too much excellent choice in London."

  • "I was disappointed by the standard of food, the ingredients were good however the cooking standard not what I thought for such the name "Corrigans" , I had the Scallops starter pretty bland and not much to it I had the lamb main again not much flavour no seasoning the crispy lamb shoulder part nothing to it a circular of Shoulder in a batter !!! Again at Tom Aitkens and Tom Kerridge's the little bits on the main plate to enhance the flavour blew me away the ones at Corrigans sadly didn't !! Dessert was good the lemon custard tart with Basil Sorbet good was good as I said not Amazing, overall it was ok would I go back No, Anyone that's been here and thought WOW should try TOM AITKENS now that IS AN AMAZING Gastronomic experience !!!!"

  • "Previously I visited this restaurant for business dinner and sat at the chef's table. Brilliant experience! This time I treated my partner for a birthday dinner at the main restaurant. Vietnamese Oysters are fabulous, brilliant seasonal daily special (special price too!) and they went out of their way to create a special small birthday cake for two on the house. Thank you for a memorable meal, will be back again."

  • "In for business meeting/meal.Service outstanding from arrival to departure. You feel that you are a valued customer, they are attentive in everyway. Food above average, well presented."

  • "Seriously over priced, lacking in atmosphere and one of the worst meals we have had in a while. Memorable for all of the wrong reasons. There are alot of excellent restaurants in London and this is not one of them."

  • "Excellent service complimenting outstanding food. Would definitely recommend."

  • "I did not think that the wine price was fair value although the food was priced as expected and greatly appreciated by myself and my wife."
    dined on 15/02/2014
  • "Whilst the service was very good, the food was very lack lustre. The prices of the dishes were to be expected for high-end establishments, but there was definitely something missing... flavour! The scallops were nice, but that's about it. I've had much better at far cheaper restaurants, and the lamb was just a lump of meat nicely placed on the plate with some surrounding vegetables. Albeit the vegetables were tasty. I'd say that some Jus would have been nice with the lamb. Even some seasoning would have been good."

  • "Great meal but disappointed with over priced wine list!"

  • "Booked for 9pm, but ended up waiting at bar, but unfortunately was not given any timings and had to ask again 40 mins later, was seated at 9.45pm. We ended up having to buy £60 worth of drinks, but only because we were waiting. No one informed us of issues or even offered a complimentary drink. The atmosphere was very tense, as lots of people had been waiting for hours. The service was very inconsistent, we were not given the bread or hors d'oeuvres until we asked as our starters. We finished eating at just after midnight, at £350, and what was worse they added 12.5% service charge without any thought of all the issues. A shame as we were looking forward to eating here however, it was clear that they couldn't cope, customers all suffered."

  • "Since it was Valentine's Day, the restaurant had a set five-course menu, luckily offering mots of my favourite things as choices. The food was very accomplished and the combinations surprising. We very much enjoyed the experience and will return shortly for Sunday lunch, whch we have already booked."

  • "Dinner at Corrigans in November 2013 with my wife. Admittedly a Sunday night but not many people and a large room meant little atmosphere. The grouse pie made for two to share made us both feel a bit sick. A little pricey but this is Mayfair. Service good throughout. To get back to our hotel we asked for a taxi. After quite a long wait a fancy Mercedes turned up; no meter and overcharged us. Should have just stepped outside and hailed a taxi as several came past. I was a bit annoyed with Corrigans for doing that to us."

  • "Myself and two colleagues had lunch this week in Corrigans. For two of us it was our first, but definitely not our last visit. We dined from a mixture of the set and A L Carte menus. The food, wine and service were of the highest order. My two colleagues are UK based.I travelled to and from Dublin on the day concerned. The long journey was very worthwhile."

  • "Excellent service, with very polite and affable staff. Lovely surroundingds. Starters and main courses very good, deserts dissapointing, Misleading re price, advertised as 3 course meal £29. but £10 additional charge if you chose the roast beef as your main course, and another £5 if you chose the cheese board instead of the desert. The cheese selection and portions served did not deserve this. The Bisque & crab toasts were exquisite, as was the Duck and falafel starters. Not sure that I would take a vegitarian friend here for a meal though, unless of course they liked to eat fish. I would recomend the Herb encrusted Lamb as a main, Avoid the cold Tarte Tatin."

  • "With food of the quality cooked up by Corrigan it is rather irritating that there is little to drink at under £30 The set lunch at £25 is good value but the wines ah that is a problem"

  • "We went here for our Anniversary (we got recommended it by a friend) and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding and they really make you feel welcome and explain the menu well. Hope to go back very soon and have just recommended it to another friend who is going at the end of February 2014!"

  • "I wanted to take my parents for a special meal to celebrate my Mum's birthday. The service was very attentive whilst remaining relaxed and very friendly. Chef even surprised us with a chocolate genache cake at the end of the meal which was delicious and a lovely gesture."

  • "We didn't enjoy Corrigans as much as other similar-priced venues in town. Service wasn't great (eg I arrived before my fellow diners and was not offered a menu or drink, also main course orders were mixed up), the wine list is expensive and food on the set lunch menu was mixed - duck very good but sea bass rather bland. The lobster and prawn cocktail was very generous but again a bit tasteless. Our desserts were excellent, although we were bemused by the fact that desserts off the a la carte menu were in some cases cheaper than those on the set lunch menu. We chose one off the a la carte menu and were then charged for the set 3 course menu and the additional dessert. The room/ambiance is good but all in all I am not sure I would return."
