About Cornstore, Limerick
Owing to the success of the Cornstore Wine Bar & Restaurant Cork, a sister restaurant was opened in Limerick in November 2008, situated on the newly refurbished and pedestrianised street, Thomas Street.
The concepts boasts 3 floors offering a lively, buzzy, Manhattan style surrounding, including private dining and contemporary heated smoking area. The interior is mirrored to match the stylish elegance of its sister restaurant in Cork with intricate floor tiling, pewter style bar, cosy booths and intimate lighting.
Like Cork, the menu specialises in premium steaks and quality seafood, an extensive drinks list with coktails, new world beers and a vast wine list. 20 pouring glasses are also available by the glass.
Both Coenstore buildings were selected because of their historic presence and the belief that the old and new can be successfully combined to create an old style feel with a modern ambience.

Cornstore, Limerick Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten here a few times for lunch and it was 15 euro for 2 courses. I'm not usually one to complain but I Was very disappointed when we set down this time at 2Pm and we were given the early bird menu for 25 euro for 3 courses and when I asked for the lunch menu I was given the evening a la carte menu. Would think twice about booking this again for special occasions. Would not be returning soon.
This restaurant is over-rated. The menu is very limited and does not appear to change. Service is rushed so not the place to go for a relaxed meal. Overall, I was not impressed and don't intend returning. The upstairs toilet was filthy and unuseable - not a good sign.
Great food and service
The menu is clever without being pompous. The food is prepared skillfully and the service is superb. I would definitely go to The Cornstore again.
Had a clinet dinner here lst week. Starting with the bar staff, through to waiting team, and the duty manager, all were very engaging and extremely helpful and efficient. Food was good, and waiter made good recommendations.
Beautiful decor, friendly staff, great food.
We visited the Cornstore for the first time to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we entered, we were so impressed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, a special thank you to Emmanuel, who made it very special for my sisters birthday, by having a birthday message on her desert plate, she was delighted!! The food was fantastic, both in its quality and presentation, and there were enough vegetarian options, to satisfy the 2 vegetarians in our party. The only downside we all felt was the noise level.......as the evening got busier, it became more difficult to hear each other around the table, however, even taking this into account, we would all certainly return to the Cornstore and recommend it for its food, ambience, extensive menu, and value for money.

Had a lovely evening meal here last night. All staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Special mention for Alex and his patience as 1 of our group was a hour late. Great value for money and lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy good food. Cocktails are a must here also, yum Massive thanks to everybody that looked after us
A great night again.
As usual an excellent night in the Cornstore, great steaks and mussels.
The evening was rather enjoyable with my family. It was a most relaxing evening with a suttle ambience . Food and service was outstanding and staff so polite and friendly . Would definitely recommend it in the future for any occasion. When we had a query with the bill it was dealt with without hesitation .
Made my Night!!!
I really appreciated everything about it, all the decorations and the live music, the food was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing and the staff are really polite, I felt good dining there with my Wife on her birthday. It's really good for special occasions and romantic dinners.
Superb! Couldn't fault anything. Staff were particularly exceptional!
Love the food here, but when you get the early bird menu, and you get the steak, ask for a salad or veg on the side as there is nothing with the main
Had dinner here recently Just as good as the previous time. I was here Service was great two servers Kiera and Helen were top class the food was great certainly will be going back here Prices just right as well
Brill all round
Booked the cornstore for a special occasion. Booking was easy and the staff were more than accommodating with special requests before the day. The food was great. The service was quick. The staff were polite and friendly. It was also great value for money. Will definitely go again 😀

The Cornstore limerick
this was our second time eating in the cornstore, my girlfriend and i had our first date there and decided to repeat it on our 1 year mark. we booked in even though it was a Wednseday night and thought it wouldnt be busy, we where wrong and lucky we booked. the placewas very busy, we where greated by the host in a very friendly manner and showed to our table where he took our coats and a waitress brought the menus. they have an "early bird" menu all night long sun-thur and we got 3 coarses for €25 there was a great selection in the menu which seemed to be a "best of" from the al la carte menu. we had chicken wings which where crispy and spicy and falling off the bone perfect. I had the beef burger and chips and my girlfriend had thai green curry. My burger was massive and was please to see cooked thouroughly , i dont like rare burgers! the chips where Proper! chips and beautifuly crispy but soft in the middle and there was a horseradish and truffle mayo with it which went perfectly. My g.f also had no complaints on her thai green curry and it also looked delicious. for desert I had a trio of ice cream and she had rhubarb and ginger creme brulee. the icecreams where the nicest ive had in a while, especially the chocolate one which had bits of chocolate in it and didnt taste like powdered cocoa like alot do. i had a taste of the creme brulee too and i was jealous i didnt get that . the food came very quickly all in all i think we where in and out in about an hour but at the same time we didnt feel rushed. the staff where always polite ,friendly and efficent when one table was done it was cleared sprayed down and reset in seconds as the table didnt stay empty for long with 3 courses for €25 its no wonder either. After askingfor the bill and paying it we walked towards the exit where the host had spotted us and had our coats ready, very attentive. I would higly recomend the Cornstore to anyone for any occasion.
Worth always returning
It last December I was there and on Sunday we decided to go. And it didn't disappoint. Some changes to the menu (very nice) and the staff were fantastic!
Great food , great atmosphere and dining experience.. Reasonable prices . Recommended for evening and for meeting

The food was okay, not brilliant. Apparently, if you order a starter and you want to keep it, they won't serve you the entrée. In the US, bread is served when you sit down and you don't pay extra for it. In Ireland, you have to order it. We wanted to keep our bread to go with the entrée. We sat forever waiting for the main course. Finally, I said something and the waitress said she was waiting for us to finish. In the US, if the entrée is ready and you're still on your appetizer, the server will ask if you want it brought or do you want to wait. So, 45 minutes went by, nothing was said. When I asked where the entrees were, the waitress thought I was angry with her-which wasn't true. The manager came by and we told him there was just a mix up with protocol. He was great. The waitress was, too. But the smart thing to do would have been to ask us if the entrée should be brought though we hadn't finished our bread. The prices were fine. The ambience is very nice.
The meal was amazing couldn't fault anything. I had the 6oz steak and the food portions were spot on. The cocktail menu was out of this world and made the whole experience even better. The waitress we had that evening was so friendly and helpful that I'll definitely be returning again and I will be recommending my friends to go there too
Best is Limerick
My favourite restaurant in Limerick. A winner every time. The chicken wings are to die for!!
Best Restaurant In Limerick
I've eaten in this restaurant around six times. Each time has been exceptional for food, service & ambience. Firstly having a drink at the bar is a must! Cocktails for the ladies, Craft beer or regular beer for the gents. This time in particular was fantastic. We had Chateaubriand for two. We could hardly finish the meal & it was cooked to our liking unlike nearly all other Irish restaurants. Here your steak is cooked however you like it & precisely so. All steaks are aged to perfection which provides great flavour & steaks are tendered to perfection. A great restaurant for romance or business meals with a dark American oaky library classic feel. It's a tad pricey but yet not overpriced. It's worth every penny to eat here!!

This is a very nice restaurant but the wine selection is too pricey. A decent bottle costs €35 approx. There is better value to be had out there. Also the side salad requested was just leaves nothing else so we considered it a bit sparse
Really enjoyed our dinner, staff were great and meal was amazing, would highly recommend to all- you will be hard pressed to get better😊
Nice food and atmosphere.
Overall a good dining experience , Unfortunately the menu online was not the one when we got there but we still had a lovely evening .
31st Anniversary Dinner
Took my wife of 31 yrs. to Cornstore Limerick for our anniversary. Staff and service was spot on. This was our second experience w/Cornstore as we ate at the one in Cork, Ireland in August 2014. They were both GREAT!
Great dinner location in Limereick
WE went to dinner on Sunday evening while having a break in Limerick. The food was fantastic, Starters, dinner and dessert. Service was very good and low key. We both had steaks, perfectly cooked and perfect. I initially was a bit disappointed when the "home cut chips" were quite thin, I expected chunky from the description, but they were real chips and very tasty. All the flavors, textures and presentation allowed us enjoy every minute and bite of our meal. Definitely going to be a return visit.
Anniversary for two
After planning my vacation to Ireland, I was looking for good restaurants in Limerick when I read about the Cornstore. After seeing it was highly ranked for local restaurants in Limerick, I decided to reserve a table for my girlfriend and I to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. When we arrived, the greeter near the bar was super friendly and immediately found our reservation. He was quick-witted and funny. There was a fun energy at the bar with the music and a great mix of locals who were out for drinks after work. We were given the choice of a noisier table near the bar, or a quieter spot in their dining area downstairs. We went downstairs. Everyone was having such a good time at the bar, we were almost sad to go downstairs to eat. We were VERY well taken care of by several of their waitstaff. After receiving our menus, one of their waiters who'd been informed about our anniversary, came over with 2 glasses of champagne for us to enjoy! Their staff were all very kind, prompt, and informative about their menu. The young lady who waited on us was excellent. We made sure to tip her well. Our food did not disappoint either. We had their thai shrimp, as well as the steak. They were both incredible. If you're ever in Limerick, I would HIGHLY recommend an evening at the Cornstore. The staff, the food, the charming décor and the atmosphere were wonderful! Thanks for a great experience!
greeted by friendly staff taken straight to our lovely table!! Fab ambience. Amazing food amazing cocktails. Most friendly and helpful staff and great value for money! Will definetly return!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastic as always. Keep up the good work! Would always recommend here for great food and great service.
Fantastic restaurant, our favorite in Limerick
After a week of travels throughout Ireland from the U.S., we've had some good and some bad experiences with food. Cornstore was recommended by our hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent, service was friendly and attentive. A must try in the Limerick area.
Absolutely fabulous evening, food, staff, music!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the Cornstore Limerick. Cocktails and food were both fabulous, music was brilliant, really added to the experience, and staff were extremely professional and friendly! Definitely recommend to others!
Cornstore Sat 2 May
This was my second time going to the Cornstore. My first time was for my one year wedding anniversary and then now for a girls night. Both were amazing. They were very friendly. All staff smiled and greeted us while we were shown to our seats. They helped with food and wine choices. Even gave us ideas on what to do in Limerick for the rest of our evening. The food is absolutely incredible. I've had the steak twice and I can say it was the best steaks I have ever eaten. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Best restaurant in Limerick
I have eaten at this restaurant three times in the last three months and have walked away impressed each time. I have numerous food allergies including gluten, all nuts except peanuts, potatoes, turkey, and a multitude of fruits and have had zero issues here. The food is brilliantly delicious, presented well and the service is second to none. The wine list is well balanced and the cocktails are the best in town. If you are looking for super high quality food or a easy, romantic dinner date, there is absolutely no better choice than this restaurant.
We frequented The Cornstore while visiting Limerick. As we werent from the area, we googled somewhere to go and The Cornstore did not dissappoint. It was amazing, the starters, main and my god the desserts were to die for! Service was great, atmosphere was buzzing and the food was faultless. We will be back!!!!!!!
Great cocktails & fab service
Had Easter dinner here during a weekend away in Limerick . Th e service was fantastic and the waiter took the time to explain the dishes and made sure our questions were answered. The food was great and super hot which is my pet hate if food is cold or just warm. The cocktails were to die for and I would recommend just popping in for those alone- Nice way to round of a weekend away!
Excellent service here and so on the ball. Great selection as well for Gluten Free and staff fully up to speed on their menu. Good excellent and highly recommend the Prawn Pil Pil. Good value for money as well

Great central location offering a great choice of food at reasonable prices and excellent service.
Even though we ate in the Cornstore on a very busy Sat night, we felt we were the only people dining there. That's how good our waiter was. The food was exceptional and even though my sister ordered something that even though was lovely it turned out not to her liking, she was asked to choose something else from the menu. How many restaurants will do that especially with the kitchen being so busy, not many. Actually a waitress who noticed she hadn't eaten her meal, said "we want you to leave happy " My sister was asked to choose anything from the menu, nothing was too troublesome. We were especially glad as it was her birthday but the restaurant didn't know that. Exceptional in every way.
Avoid the prawns starter
It was not the first time we went. The value menu is good, good steak. The prawns appetizer (with 3 Euro extra price on the menu price) is not worth it: 6 small prawns in a formidably garlicky sauce. Compared with the mussels or the 8 chicken wings really a bad deal.
Best steak I've had in ages!
Wonderful fillet steak, perfectly cooked. Staff are very friendly amd welcoming. I'll be back the next time I'm in Limerick.
