It was also a pity that the restaurant ran out of the asparagus crespelle. In all, a memorable meal. On this occassion I met some girlfriends for lunch and when we arrived we were only the second occupied table and although this was good as we got very attentive service and allowed us to chat freely it meant the atmosphere was a bit flat.

We went there for 50% off food offer and it's first time to visit since they changed the menu. Fish soup was excellent as starter. Chicken, ravioli was nice but we found the sauce was very rich. It belongs to The Park Lane Hotel, though it has its separate entrance from the street. Stylish decor, tasty modern italian-influenced food with few imaginative touches, friendly and very professional service and more than decently priced. The Pumpkin Ravioli with Kale & Gorgonzola was delicious and the pigeon breast with pearl barley risotto one of the nicest I have ever had. Desserts are balanced between rich and chocolatey and fresh and lighter-ish options. The starter and dessert were buffet style, but *high quality* buffet style. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. And one could go back time after time.
If I had one small criticism, I'd say that the main course portions were a fraction on the small side (haut cuisine sized portions - you know the sort of thing!) so I could have had more of the starters than I thought. There were four of us, great place to be able to chat without noise and children running around.
I had the chicken livers which was wonderful and then the fish. All very good. The wine was good could have been a little cheaper in price. We were on the special of 50% off the food great deal.
The waiter servicing was friendly and helpful.
Toilets had Molton Brown in them which I love, well that's what you would except at the Park Lane Hotel.

I reckon the waiter is the manager there, providing his best service making us felt comfortable. You would hate to have the black and white faces on plates wallpaper at home but here it really works and all set in the venerable Park Lane hotel with its marble and glitz.
