Cinnamon Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Service was very attentive and small issues with our table were quickly and efficiently dealt with. The food was mostly delicious. We had the cumin brioche with lamb to start which was a little bland, a bit too much bun. My husbands starter, Kerala style stir-fried shrimp with curry leaf and peppercorn, was the star of the show, perfectly cooked, juicy and in a fragrant sauce. We all had the sharing platters which were nicely cooked and also had lovely chutneys. In all a very nice experience.
great ambience and delicious food - would highly recommend

I have not been back for a few months and having eaten there again, I will make sure that I come back more often. The food is fantastic and the service very good too.

Our favorite part of the meal was the fabulous starters and chefs dessert platter. Service was great as were the drinks. Overall a great evening was had!
Excellent afternoon spent at the Cinnamon Kitchen. My Dad had a wonderful birthday lunch. Just a shame it was a Monday post 2pm as the restaurant was totally empty apart from us. Well presented, tasty dishes of Monk fish, baby aubergine and saddle of lamb.
Best dish of the weekend
Went here on our long weekend in London and selected it as we love Indian food. Service was exceptional with friendly, helpful and patient. Set lunch menu offers exceptional value. We both went for the mussel broth and we both agreed this was the best dish we had eaten. Mains were really good too, my hake cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere inside too.
Unfortunately our visit did not live up to expectations. I have bee to the Cinnamon Club in Westminster a number of times and that has always been excellent quality. Our meal at Cinnamon Kitchen was no where near as good. Staff were friendly, but clearly had too many tables to serve, as it simply took forever to order, receive each course and most frustratingly the bill was called for 3 times! I don't mind paying good money for good food, but ours was average to poor. My beef curry was tough, and my partners Chicken Biriani was dry and overcooked (together they cost £33). The Malbec on offer was not good either. Wish we had gone to brick lane instead.
The food itself was good. Service was indifferent at best and mostly lacking. Despite being the only diner on the table to specifically request tap water as my beverage, I only received a half fill as the servers attended to other glasses rather than mine... not good as I was also the host for the meal. Three separate servers came to take our order and then disappeared when asked about nut allergens, despite this info being shared on the booking. On the plus side, the set menu was delicious.
An amazing dining experience.
Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The service was excellent and the food from the 'Taster Menu' was incredible. We were introduced to completely new taste sensations. We were seated in an outdoor marque area within the Devonshire Courtyard with heat lamps and a very romantic atmosphere. T0 top it all the owner and executive chef Mr Vivek Singh was there in the kitchen and he personally came over to our table to chat to us. The staff were very attentive. A wonderful and memorable evening. Thank you
Great food!!!...Shame about the service.
What can I say about this restaurant? The food was superb, and the ambiance and setting was vibrant. Sadly, that’s were my positivity stops, largely due to a series of mishaps from the waiting staff, and then a very serious mishap with our final bill. The problems began when we placed our orders. When the menus were issued, we were not informed that certain meals were not available, and it was only until we placed our orders that we were told of this.I found this to be very unprofessional. There didn’t appear to be any apology for this either. Also, I found it strange that dessert orders were being take at this point too, prior to any food being brought to the table. Anyway, once the food began to arrive, it was superb. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and it was a very exquisite experience. The deserts arrived , all but for 2 of our party. We waited for about 15 minutes, but it was clear there was not going to be any sign of the remaining desserts, so we had to make the waiting staff aware of this ourselves. They certainly had not noticed that some desserts were missing. There was no apology for the mishap either, again. The final disappointment was with the way the bill was handled. The waitress accidentally processed the payment twice, but then couldn’t prove that this had happened as the card reader had run out of its paper roll. The manager then insisted that we apply the payment again as they couldn’t prove if the previous payments had been processed. We declined paying them what could be a 3rd time at this point and asked the manager to check his records, which he couldn’t do at the time as he couldn’t check the payment record until Monday morning. We advised that he contact us on Monday morning after we check our bank statements and he checks his records. It turned out we had been charged twice, and although the restaurant reimbursed us quickly, we were left with a very sour taste in our mouths, and it’s safe to say we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Really disappointed with the service and the food. And the restaurant vibe was not relaxed at all. A far cry from its origins at the cinnamon club.
Great place with good food
This restaurant is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool St. The ambience and food is great! The portions were a bit smaller than I expected them to be but the food was simply delicious, especially the main course. I would definitely suggest trying the king prawns with malai curry sauce and the Kentish Lamb.
A bit too much cardamom in the cinnamon kitchen!
A lovely place I have been a few times before but not for a long while. Great for business meals or quick catch ups. The food was delicious - we had the lamb brioche and the chicken curry (which was relatively hot!) and the kulfi for dessert. it was part of an open table offer at great value. The service was friendly and the management nice. The bug bear we had was that some of the waiters didnt know what they were doing, and one of them after spilling a glass of champagne just disappeared, so we had to ask for more napkins to replace the 4 we used to clean the mess ourselves! Not luxe, but good value.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, good service
I went to cinnamon kitchen with my boyfriend for a meal on a Friday evening. We sat outside and had a lovely three course meal. The lamb saddle was delicious. I also enjoyed the cocktails. It was really nice to suit outside, not too noisy but enough atmosphere in the background and can have a nice private meal. The staff were very polite. The food was very well presented. We ordered a coffee which was a little slow to arrive but fine and the staff were aware of it and we didn't have to chase. Would definitely recommend
I was so disappointed with the food here. I had beef curry and whislt the flavours were really good the meat was terrible, really poor. There was so much gristle and it was so tough. I'd expect better at any restaurant, even more so at somewhere with higher prices.
Stylish curry well presented
Went with a foody mate for a try out lunch after deciding not to go for a traditional curry. It's very well presented and the service is good. Mentally compared it with a tasting menu curry I had in Cambridge.....dishes compare well...tasty and tasteful...not over hot...I would be happy to go there for a business lunch and its well placed near Liverpool street....It's near the up and arrived Shoreditch 'Massif' and would work well for a lunch or dinner with a date. Went on a special offer deal with the facile hope of a modestly priced lunch which was derailed by the excellent wine list.
Good modern Indian cooking
Definitely a city-style restaurant - bright, modern and open. Three successes out of four with the food. The Rechado giant prawn and the stir-fried shrimps (which were the size of normal prawns) made good starters. The Kentish lamb was a delicious main while the Peshawar-style beef curry tasted good but wasn't as tender as it should have been. Decent service.
Had dinner with 6 people in total. The service was good, not great, but good. The food was very tasty. It is not a place to share dishes really, as the dishes come as "normal" plated dishes. There is a good wine selection on top. I would easily recommend this restaurant again and look forward to going back!

Booked in advance with a specific deal. Upon arrival they said they were no longer doing that particular deal, but they still honoured it. The service was great, the staff were attentive but did not bother you too much. The food was delicious and the ambience was lovely. I've been back since.
We love this restaurant, and have been several times - it has a very nice atmosphere and the food is terrific. I have an awkward dietary requirement, and with notice they handled it really well. In particular I have to recommend the puddings (which are not usually the highlight of an Indian meal for me). The fusion of Indian flavours and European pudding ideas is completely brilliant. The only criticisms are that the service was a bit haphazard (it was a Saturday night and so very busy), and the wine list is overpriced.
Good food, but found it overpriced for the ambience and decor. Most importantly, place was extremely noisy, couldn't have a conversation on the table without shouting.

Food was good and nice presented. The room and table presentation would need some more attention to be really romantic. Good restaurant to recommend.

Great food and service ( as usual)
I'd been to this restaurant many years ago but didn't remember how it was, but I really enjoyed the visit this time. Excellent food, great service! Quite unusual combination of food but very interesting and tasty. I will definitely recommend and I'd go back again for sure.
Quick service but not pushy with a good choice of well prepared dishes .
decent service, good turnaround time, they charged me for one more beer than I had but refunded so kudos on the customer service.

Great food, great to sit out with the heaters and the staff are very friendly. Not your typical Indian food in London and was healthy!
Good food, limited for veggy's though...
We started off in the bar before moving to our table. Staff were really friendly, moved us and our tab to our table hassle free. The places has a nice feel to it, the menu was very good, although limited with vegetarian options however we tried them all. The food was very tasty, and not like the usual Indian restaurants, lots of authentic flavours and it all came in good time. Overall, a good option for dinner, and i'm sure i'll be making a visit again in the future.

Have eaten here before and food is always good. Very tasty with authentic flavours predented in a modern way. Service can vary depending on waiter but was good on this occasion. Would recommend.

The food was delicious and well presented. The place had a great atmosphere with very friendly, attentive staff. The food was so delicious and so different from your normal Indian restaurant food. The taste was amazing ...........
Don't go here for a good curry
The food lacked flavour. The service was very pushy. Ordered a classic dish lamb biryani, was not good. The only thing I enjoyed was the cocktail.
Oh Wow, Oh Wow, Oh Wow !!!
I've been to Cinnamon Kitchen dozens of time with the food being a flavour paradise each time, but they totally outdid themselves this time. I din't think it was possible to create a food that tastes this delicious !!! We had the Tilapia and Lentil starters which were beautiful, followed by the Chicken Curry. The term Curry would not do this dish justice. It was more like a glimpse into Paradise which left us both boggle-minded with each fork full we tasted. I can highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for food with a twist !
Good business lunch
We went for a business lunch and decided to do set menu to keep things simple. Lamb was well cooked and aubergine mains with rice was delicious too. Sorbet wasnt great but no bad either, should have gone for pistachhio cake which my colleage took and was happy. Overall all good easy location as next to Liverpool St Station. Will go again soon.
ok food but over priced and service bad
Not the best Indian meal I've had in London. I wanted to treat my parents to a nice meal as they love Indian food. The flavours were ok and nobody had a bad meal but the service was pretty awful. We couldn't relax and enjoy the evening. The waiter we had wasn't interested at all in us, didn't explain anything about the menu, kept pestering us to order and asked every five minutes if we wanted another drink. The waiter who brought the food didn't know how to serve a very hot biryani. The food is not cheap so I wouldn't expect this. It suits City workers who can expense their meals which I guess is who it is aimed at given the location. I would recommend Dishoom for everyone else. I doubt I will go back which is a shame.
Attentive service and great food.
The waiters were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Perfect ambience for a group of friends.
A bit disappointing
We expected fine Indian food, but were disappointed. The food was good, but not exceptional and the restaurant is very crowded and noisy, nice staff but not very attentive. Not worth it in our opinion.
Fabulous food and nice little touches throughout
We had the grill sharing platter for four and our one veggie had autumn vegtable kofta. Excellent flavours with each meat perfectly paired with the sauce, especially liked the spicy seabream and coconut sambal. Kudos to our waiter who picked up that i wanted to try the lentil dumplings starter but decided not to since we were doing sharing dishes then brought 5 individual complimentary testers. Dessert was lovely too, just a star deducted because we were charged for the ginger cake instead of the cheaper passion fruit tart we had.
The restaurant is slightly tucked away but is very busy and buzzy once you find it. The food is very tasty - the lime sorbet I think is the best ice cream I have ever had - and the service is excellent. It is not somewhere to go for a romantic tete-a-tete especially on a Friday but its certainly a great way to start the weekend.
Confusing service, food is average
I was a bit disappointed, considering the very good reviews. The food was average, nothing special in my view. I also felt that the service was confusing as we got 5 different people serving us at different points and I believe it is better to have 1 waiter per table instead.
