  • "Cinnamon Kitchen did us proud. The service and set menu food were outstandingly good. This was a different experience to the Westminster mother ship but equally enjoyable. The ambience, an equally important factor in any restaurant, was also great but spoilt a little by background music. Why do even the best of places not recognise and leave alone that god sent gift of a sound that really matters and counts, the buzz from their happy and contented clientele ?"

  • "We had a toptable deal, 3 courses for £22 and the menu choice offered was good. The food was lovely and beautifully spiced. There is a good ambience in the restaurant and bar. The staff were courteous and the service was efficient. It is more low keyed and less formal than their flagship restaurant in Westminster but the food is still of the same standard and would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "some dishes were full of flavour.. like the duck livers and fish mains. the vegetarian dishes were quite disappointing. desserts were impressive. the inconsistency with the courses lets the restaurant down.."

  • "We dined at 6pm on a monday evening and service was excellent and so was food. Staff were very proactive offering more water and plates to share courses etc. And offering help with menu choices."

  • "Nice and modern indian food, a bit pricy though especially there's only choice between a la carte or tasting menu (57pounds) at dinner time. Well worth the visit at lunch time!"

  • "Sat outside for a warm weather lunch - was nice although this was it. Needs more wow factor to the food. But good for a business lunch."

  • "We visited Cinnamon Kitchen at 6:30pm on Friday, when it was fairly quiet. It was amazing. We'd booked for the deal - 2 courses + a glass of berry fizz for £19. This was excellent value. Everything was perfect. We asked for the fizz straight away and it arrived immediately - this rarely happens. We were given the offer menu - another rare event. So often, when having booked an offer, the a la carte menu is presented and then when the offer menu requested, you're made to feel like a pauper! The menu was limited (which is fair enough for a deal) - but when the food arrived (quickly, but not too quickly) it was perfect - both beautifully presented and beautifully cooked - the flavours were amazing. We'll hurry back - maybe next week!"

  • "The Cinnamon Kitchen presents a clean, modern twist on traditional Indian food. The flavours and ingredients are sharper and cleaner than even the best high street Indians. The setting is comfortable, but formal enough to have a good business conversation. We did not try and the desserts or range of drinks, given the occasion. By reputation of my colleagues, however, both are good."

  • "I enjoyed an early dinner with 3 friends last night at Cinnamon Kitchen. The food, staff, ambience was fantastic, could not fault it and would highly recommend a visit."

  • "This was my first visit to the place and was for a business dinner. I must say i was pleasantly happy with the service...good reception, they were waiting for me (since i had done the booing) no waiting what so ever. Good service and decent food...the appetisers that we ordered were just right...The ambience was good, the restaurant was busy but wasnt loud as some of the restaurants are but just perfect. Will definitely visit the place."

  • "Having enjoyed the sister restaurant, Cinnamon Club, we decided to try Cinnamon Kitchen for a group dinner. We weren't disappointed. The range of dishes on option was great, food delicious and good ambience in the restaurant. Service efficient. Would recommend."

  • "Food portions were on the small side but food was very very tasty. Would recommend lobster soup and Kentish lamb with cumin mash. Didn't enjoy anise, thought cocktails were over priced with no atmosphere at all. Would definitely return to the restaurant though!"

  • "Went for dinner on a Friday night, and all of us agreed that the quality and taste of the food was very good. However, that is where the positives end I'm afraid. The service was awful, from start to finish. First, I was shown to a seat which had two wobbly legs and was on the verge of collapse (I'm about 75kgs, so not due to my excessive weight!). Then each time our waiter walked past our table he would bump into me and my chair with significant force. After the 6th or 7th time I confronted him and he apologised. The wine was poured with unnecessary attentiveness and without much degree of accuracy. Finally, when the bill came, we all agreed it represented very poor value for money, and we had felt rushed along in a rather unpleasant way."

  • "Abdul and team deliver yet again. I have run out of superlatives to help me explain its great food and service. Drinks in Anise was chilled...Try "The Whippet" cocktail if you can. New bar manager from Benares looks like a good asset to the team. On entering the restaurant was warmly greeted by the team (felt like home!). Started with a mini dosa (kitchen made a tweak to it with no fuss - welcomed),,it was amazing ...wanted more! We then had the Keralan Beef curry...truly amazing had the taste buds jumping around (in a nice way)...The head chef (Abdul Yaseen) also made time to say hello! We had a slight problem with the bill after we left, they recognised the problem, accepted responsibility and resolved it - what more could you ask for."

  • "Weekday lunch with colleague. We had the set menu. Food was good but the portions are small. Better than usual Indian but there are better places around eg Mint Leaf Lounge. Service was good and fairly prompt."

  • "Having been to The Cinnamon Club, I had high expectations for Cinnamon Kitchen. The food was good, with interesting twists on traditional Indian dishes. The tandoori hallibut was especially good and the banana sorbet was a great ending to the meal. I'd certainly go back for the food again - but I might get takeaway instead. What I didn't like about Cinnamon Kitchen was the atmosphere. It was so loud on the Friday evening that we could hardly have a conversation across the table. It was also brightly lit and the tables were quite close together, so it felt more like a school cafeteria than a restaurant aiming for an upmarket vibe. The bathrooms could have been tidier as well."

  • "I have been a number of times to the restaurant. Saturday I went with a friend on a last minute whim. The restaurant wasn't busy but did fill up as the night went on. We had the Tandoori Chicken and soup to start. The chicken was succulent and subtly spiced. Both the lamb and beef mains were excellent. I love the food. The service was attentive. The bill was reasonable for what we had. Would definitely return again. I would say that the set or deal menus, which there seemed to a lot of were limited or not as appealing to us hence we went a la carte. Happy with our choice."

  • "We both had the duck liver as a starter which was delicious. My friend had the trout as a mains which was perfectly cooked with a nice blend of unexpected spices. I had the beef curry which was nice, but didn't knock me out this time round. The cocktail was pure delight as always."

  • "The food was actually good, but the staff attitude and the service levels made the whe experience one to forget ! What a shame !"

  • "The ambience was great and not noisy so we could have a decent conversation. The aromas were inviting. Good options on the menu. Food was awesome. Quantity sumptuous. Service polite. Pricing very reasonable for such a great brand. I will definitely use this for all future business lunches."

  • "Having had an excellent meal at the Cinnamon Club on a previous occasion, we thought we'd try try the Holi celebration set menu at the Cinnnamon Kitchen. The food was first rate, but let down by the prawns being overcooked. However, the service didn't match up to the pricing point of the meal, and, although decent enough, the wine and cocktails were overpriced."

  • "Cinnamon Kitchen isn't a traditional Indian, but usually the food is excellent. Sadly, waiting 15 minutes for a menu and 50 minutes for a drink took the edge off the good food. The poor service continued throughout the meal; my companion was drinking beer, but always took 15 minutes for one to arrive from asking for one. We didn't get bread and wine until 50 minutes from sitting down. Whilst I don't like to be hurried, this was unacceptable - even having reminded the waiter several times. The restaurant was busy, but by no means full. I have been here a number of times for special occasions. Unfortunately I don't think I will be returning due to the appalling service. If it wasn't for the service, yes I would recommend the restaurant."

  • "Seems to be a common complaint. Food as always was excellent but trying to get a drink was a struggle as was ultimately paying the bill. We had two amuse bouches which I suppose was a bonus but was a symptom of the disorder. Some waiters didn't seem to stoop to clearing glasses, taking orders and then leaving it for others. We had the lunch offer and they forgot to give us the drink which came with it. I only realised after leaving the restaurant! Will return in the hope this is a temporary issue as the food really is first class. Shame."

  • "Cinnamon Kitchen had very nice food and good service but overall it is not great value for money. Additionally, the food was very spicy, one of the dishes we ordered was cooked very well but was so spicy that it was difficult to eat. I have been here before for lunch and I thought that it was better for lunch over dinner."
    dined on 07/03/2014
  • "Having been here a few times in the past, the preparations this time round were a bit below par. We tried the Fish, chicken and other sundry dishes and found them just passable, the shrimps starters were quite nice though. Maybe it was simply and off day for the Chef. The menu could be made a bit more imaginative. It hasnt changed for a very long time."
    dined on 27/02/2014
  • "The dining room could use some carpets or something to absorb sound -- it is too noisy to have a conversation. The portions could be more generous."

  • "Whilst I have dined at the Cinnamon Kitchen on a number of occasions, it was a first for my friend who had heard great things about this restaurant, so I took him here as a surprise for this Birthday. We both dined from the a la carte menu, as I often opt for the testing menu from previous visits. The food was fantastic as always, and we both had the same lamb dish for the main which was definitely worth mentioning. Our Waiter recommended a New Zealand red wine that was spot on, especially after it was given time to breath the full flavour of the wine became apparent - we ended up having a second bottle too."

  • "Once again a marvellous treat ! This time we had broccoli spears and the Tilapia as a starter, fllowed by the Chicken Curry. For desert we chose a sorbet and kulfi. All dishes were superbly prepared and very very tasty indeed !"

  • "Cinnamon Kitchen was a pleasant surprise: I thought it was a business lunch kind of place, but I was wrong. It's a dining experience and the menu ffwers really interesting and original dishes. Shame the service was not as great: I accept it was late (I went at 10pm), but if you accet bookings for 10pm then you should not stress your customer the way they did with us. The started arrived litterally 3 minutes after we ordered, and the main course was served straight after they removed our empty starter dishes (at the same time!). They had even kept the mains warm behind the bar as they had been ready for a long time. Overall too rushed and I am not sure I want to repeat the experience..."

  • "Lived in london for 4 years and have just had the chance to go here. Modern Indian cuisine. Totally delicious. Met a friend for lunch in here, we were going to have the set menu, but it was different to what was on top table so we ate from the a la carte which wasnt a problem. good vegetarian and meat options. Im training for a fitness comp at the mo, but the staff were happy to cater for my needs, very impressed. will deffo be returning. A must for anyone living in London to try the restaurant or bar at least once."

  • "Wished we had checked the times of the set menu. We turned up at 6.30 but didnt sit down til 7pm not realising , so instead of being an average cost evening it turned out very expensive. My husband was actually hungry afterwards"
