For a lunch services and given that we ordered the express menu, the service was really really slow. My friend and I had the special offer of two courses and a cardomom/ginger bellini for £19. We both chose the duck livers followed by the beef and were not disappointed - the flavours were amazing. The bellinis were so good we had 2 more each.
The service was very good and if I had two comments to make they would be that that we had to order our food by 7pm in order to qualify for the special offer which was not on the Top Table website or the menu provided and we were still eating our starters when the waiter arrived with our main courses. They were returned to the kitchen immediately and fresh portions served 15 minutes later.

We absolutely loved it - the food was lovely, the wine was excellent, the service was good - attentive without it being intrusive or overbearing. In particular the minced mutton chop was lovely and my husband is still talking about the banana and passion fruit ice cream.

We were welcomed warmly on arrival and the service was great the entire evening. We are both gluten free and the staff knew to expect that. They were knowledgeable about what we could have and answered our questions with a smile.
There is so much choice for gluten free customers and it's clearly marked on the menu. The duck livers were outstanding, as were the ribs and beef on the special offer menu.

We got to the bar and was served with some professionalism by Dominic who gave us our three cocktails. We were then given a couple of tasters of what to expect. We had one of the cheapest bottles of red wine, a gin and tonic, a glass of champagne, a bottle of water and 2 dessert wines( one of which we were a little bit duped into buying) and the drinks bill alone bill came to nearly £100! We had the 2 course set menu, which has 4 choices for each course. We decided to order all of them, and share them between us. In particular we enjoyed the ginger spiced paneer for the starter and the charred ribs for the main course, but all of the dishes were exceptional- the range of flavours and spices were perfect. Our menu also came with a sparkling wine cocktail which was delicious. The service was excellent, and I liked being able to see the kitchen from our table. This is the third time I have eaten here and the food has always been fantastic!
The only thing I would say is that the drinks etc can be quite expensive, and even though we had the two course set menu we shared some bread with dips which cost an extra £8 which was pretty high but all the same rather tasty.

In fact, I just travel 3500 miles to dine there for my birthday. Of course, it was part of a trip to the UK but I can't explain how excited I was to be spending my birthday there.
And they didn't disappoint. The first standout point was our seating. Within a few moments of serving us a special birthday cocktail, the neighboring table grew a little boisterous. Before we could complain the maitre'd whisked us away to another table.
We started with a neuf de pape and the lobster soup/pom poms. Outstanding!
Main course was prawns for my wife and the red deer for me. Just plain WOW.

- platter of starters was really appetising and varied. Staff accommodated allergy issues and switched constituents of the platter around a bit, which was really helpful
- main course (lamb) was beautifully cooked and had the right mix of spiciness and herbs.
Stuck to beer with the meal, they had an excellent new craft beer in which I really enjoyed.
