  • "I loved the interior of this lovely find. We were taken to our table, and the waiter was very polite. We enjoyed the entire experience, it felt very special and quite different from other places in the area. I highly recommend you book here, perfect for family, romance and business. Enjoy!"

  • "For me, all the food was good, nice restaurant and over the top service. I feel the value of what we got was not there. I have eaten at a lot of other places with the same quality of food but a better price point. In the end we had two cocktails, a bottle of wine, two starters, rib steak for two and cheese for £215."

  • "A great restaurant, tucked away in the heart of Chelsea. Perfect for special occasions."

  • "Food from the grill is delicious and very well prepared, my compliments ! But the staff come across as unfriendly and not very helpful. It were mostly little things that put a bit of a negative on the night, for example it seemed the sommelier was angry with us when we didn't order any wine that night. First I thought it was me that noticed it, but luckily my date felt exactly the same way, and started about it the second we walked out. Bit of a shame considering the quality of the food"

  • "We booked the Cheyne Walk Brasserie for a birthday lunch. they did not know the wine list, they messed up our wine order. the staff dealing with our table did not know what the soup or risotto of the day was. we were not asked if we enjoyed our meal and it came to £65 a head. we paid the service charge but I would not go there again in a hurry. If you are paying that much Money for an experience in a top restuarant you would expect the staff to know the menu's and to not constantly have to repeat yourself."

  • "We went there to have lunch with my parents in law, quite early, around 12.00, and the place was nice and relax. My father in law liked the wine list and ordered a Mendoza vineyard wine by Michel Rolland. The wine was really good. Starters were a bit disappointing (pissaladière too thick and gravalax salmon too thin), but afterwards mains were very nice, both meat and fish. They could improve their sides (greasy salad, chips chewy). Desserts were very good, but astonishly we waited for them for 20/25 mns and there was no more vanilla ice cream (a must have in any kitchen, don't you think so ?). Overall experience was lovely and my little family spent a nice time."

  • "Great grilled food as always, the atmosphere is great with the grill in the middle of the restaurant. One of my favourite "neighbourhood" restaurants in London."

  • "Unfortunately not what I thought it would be. The food was ok but nothing special. Service was fine however it would have been good if all the meals would have been served at the same time."

  • "Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant - great food and great service. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommended."

  • "The wine list was crazy expensive. Food was simple and good quality but wine options what can I say n"

  • "Everything is going right for this restaurant--good food very well prepared, waft of a burning rosemary branch to get your appetite on high alert, lovely wine list, well-appointed rooms and great location. The service, however, needs an upgrade to justify the prices. Some servers are excellent but others are just not trained properly--reaching across you to serve, interrupting a conversation, forgetting things, acting as if some requests are an imposition. If they can just get this right I will continue to be happy to pay the high prices!"

  • "Beautiful room in great location. Was hard to choose from menu as all sounded delicious. Sommelier was very helpful & wine list very good.."

  • "The food is average, there is a chimney and the grilled meat is good however nothing outstanding for a "french cuisine"restaurant"

  • "This is our third visit to this restaurant..we love this neighborhood and this restaurant. Delicious fish cooked over a wood fire..watch the chef prepare. Attentive service, lovely wine list..we will visit again when we return to London."

  • "I've been several times as it's in my neighborhood and I am always taken with the excellent grilled everything! The smell of the grilled foods when you enter the main dining room, the grilled bread-a clever touch that smells so good you could just have this for dinner-and the smoking sprig of rosemary that accompanies the grilled meats somehow all conspires to make the ambience so pleasant. The food is nicely done, solid menu, excellent wine list and attentive service (although a brush up on the finer details of good service would match the menu and prices) make it even more pleasant. There is a good mix of families, couples out for romance and revelers which lends a nice buzz. The location provides a lovely stroll on the river."

  • "We were the only diners at lunchtime but the service was, frankly, appalling. It took ages for menus to arrive, more ages for orders to be taken, and further ages for the food to arrive. We were left with no time to order coffees, and we won't be returning."
    dined on 27/11/2013
  • "The main was cooked to perfection, I had venison. The location is pretty and the service was good, staff accommodating. For high end food the price is reasonable. It's awkward to get to though and the dessert was a let down. All in all, worth a try for yourself"
    dined on 08/12/2013
  • "Excellent ambience, food, and service. Othe bill for three people was very expensive but we did test ourselves to some excellent wines. The service was attentivebut not too intrusive and I think the wines were overpriced. My one criticism is that due to its popularity diners are time constrained and we had to move from the table asvthe next booking had arrived - this did spoil our evening to some extent as we were very much ebnjoying the whole experience."

  • "Sadly, we had to move back to the US from London a year ago, but will always consider Cheyne Walk Brasserie to be one of our favorite restaurants in London. The food is amazing (this time I had a perfect veal chop, while others enjoyed the best steaks prepared in London - which is saying something), the atmosphere is romantic, soft and inviting, the wine list an exquisite selection of very good French wines where you can find a good value (45GBP for a high quality St. Emilion). What I like about this place is that it is quietly elegant and doesn't shout its name, but is one of those places that are a hidden gem (but not so hidden since it has quite a celebrity following - we have a lovely encounter with an Oscar winner one evening). GO!"

  • "My friend and i have been sharing Christmas dinners around the world for the past 20 years. Always get together late November or early December. This year supposed 5 star restaurants in London were offering a 5:30 seating but out by 7:30pm. Too early for us. I'd been to Cheyne Walk Brasserie before and it was even better than i remembers. Brilliant experience, excellent service, great and friend staff. Ten out of ten."

  • "The quality of the food is outstanding (i suggest you try either fish or meat. The service is impeccable, they make you feel at home. Even if it is a restaurant of quality, their staff is not snobbish like some other fancy restaurants. When you go in you can imagine yourself in the south of france with the smell of provencial herbs. A MUST GO IN LONDON"

  • "For the style and price position of this restaurant I would have expected much better attention to detail."

  • "Delicious meal. Great weekend brunch/lunch spot in Chelsea. Definitely will return."

  • "I have known the restaurant was nearby my home for ages but dismissed it - not sure really why. One evening recently, every restaurant we tried to get a table at was booked and we remembered Cheyne Walk Brasserie was nearby so we hopped in a taxi just in case they could fit us in...it turned out to me one of the nicest dining experiences we have had in London. The entrecôte is an absolute must. It is grilled and the flavour is out of this world. The duck and the side dishes are great too, as well as the starters...but it is the steak that makes you come back. The staff are very friendly and it is perfect for either a romantic dinner or out with friends. If you like good food beautifully prepared but not pretentious, you will love it."

  • "Very good restaurant! Friendly, very good taste, the ambiance is special with the center grill and the cheff working among the tables. there is a bar where everibody was very happy, so, it must be good."
    dined on 11/10/2013
  • "The restaurant is pleasant and cosey but the food was very average and over priced. The overall atmosphere was not great and might be nice for someone over 50. My fish chargrilled fish arrived semi hot and the beef my friends ordered arrived burnt and had to be recooked. The service was average. I would never return as there is nothing that would attract me here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that I would rather go to for good food or atmosphere. Sorry to be honest but I rather someone else doesn't make the same mistake we did!"

  • "I visited the Cheyne Walk Brasserie on the back of a recommendation. This review will be short and to the point. GO THERE. If you like nice food you will not be dissapointed. SOmetimes the service could be a little long winded but that is because we are used to the "british" way of in out. My only criticism is of some of the customers. So nothing the restaurant could do. But because it is a little up market in price terms (Although worth it) some of them were quite rude. But dont let that put you off like I said GO THERE."
    dined on 19/07/2013
  • "Drinks were average. Escargot was too salty. Steak was over cooked. Plates brought to the table were dirty and had to be sent back. Service was lacking. A real disappointment after our first visit in Jan 2013 which was fantastic. We will not return."
    dined on 14/07/2013
  • "An old pub turned into this French-inspired grill. Brasserie only in name. Elegant interior but understated. Terrific food off the grill plus some interesting other options. French influence but not overdone. Heavy-hitting wine list - prices a bit steep. But a good and interesting range. A good evening out."
    dined on 10/07/2013
  • "This restaurant is a solid performer. Its turned into a bit of a local family restaurant which makes it even more charming. Saturday night filled with posh couples and families. Good food, good wine list, very attentive service. And the grilled bread basket is a really clever touch. Such a beautiful setting on the Thames and when the weather is nice one wishes the front windows and doors would open to the river--small complaint for an otherwise very nice evening."
    dined on 06/07/2013
  • "We had a lovely meal in the Salon area of the restaurant which looks out over the river. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional. They had remembered we were at the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and so they brought out a creme brulee with a candle in it at the end of the meal- a lovely touch! I'd thoroughly recommend the Cheyne Walk Brasserie, the food was very good and the location is gorgeous."
    dined on 29/06/2013
  • "I often find as dining alone not be the greatest experience, on this occasion I found this restaurant wonderful. I was made to feel very welcome & comfortable & was never forgotten despite there being large parties of people on neighbouring tables. The food was beautifully presented, the staff very polite, I only eat in181139354728 London 2/3 times a year but will never hesitate to book a table here every time, thank you"

  • "Maybe it was Chelsea Flower Show pressure, but the service was way down, and there were two errors on the service, which were not corrected on the bill. Maybe we are supposed to be charmed by Gallic chaos but sometimes when its already 9pm, you don't want to wait 30 minutes to place your order. There were certainly enough wait-staff walking around, but the coordination was below par. When the place is half full - everything works perfectly ... I am not convinced they can handle full capacity."
    dined on 21/05/2013
  • "The room is bright and airy and the service and food are impeccable. Set menu is great value, the a la carte is more expensive but well worth is as everything is delicious! Have been several times before and will keep coming back!"
