The restaurant is lovely, very romantic and well suited for a special occasion. We shared a glass of champaigne in the bar next door to the dining room and then were treated to a lovely three course meal plus coffee and petit fours for £40.00. A good deal for quality food. As a vegetarian my food was beautifully prepared and as I requested extra options as was advised accordingly. My wife's meat and fish options were well received also.The service was superbly charming and friendly throughout and lent itself to a splendid occasion and a memorable dining experience. It's a small restaurant, very nicely decorated. The service is absolutely impeccable. The food was good too - although we weren't blown away by any means. The aubergine curry I had was OK. The sauce / masala was good. But the whole dish didn't work for me somehow. In all I felt the price of c.£33 for 2 courses is a bit high.05/05/2012 00:00:00
