attentive service and pretty
efficient. The restaurant is very popular for breakfast so I'd advise booking well in advance. "
dined on 17/04/2014
Great ambiance, very busy even at
4pm and we were eating early. Service was prompt, prices reasonable and the food simple but tasty."
dined on 18/12/2013
Loved the food and the ambience,
will certainly go back!"
dined on 13/04/2014
Very good food with very good
service. Always busy but friendly. "
dined on 14/04/2014
The pasta with black truffle was
very good. However the second plate mozzarella with tomato was bot good , tomato were old and not eatable. It was disapoting for a restaurant as cecconi."
dined on 13/04/2014
Our experience could not have been
better, service, ambiance , food everything was delightful . We were celebrating out 45th wedding anniversary and ceccioni's made it truly special"
dined on 11/04/2014
The ambiance was very good and
good service but unfortunately Pasta dish was too salty and couldn't eat more than five bites."
dined on 09/04/2014
We went for lunch on Saturday to
celebrate my birthday. They did not know it was a special occasion but a waiter overheard my friend say sorry am not here on Wednesday for your birthday I was presented with a beautiful plate with mini deserts and decorated with happy Birthday. it was a really lovely touch and appreciated the waiter doing this. The food we had was excellent."
dined on 05/04/2014
A little bit disappointing this
time, the service was below average, the waiter was inattentive and when taking the order could not repeat the first item correctly. Generally inattentive service and we had to attract the attention of staff every time we wanted service, from ordering the first drink to getting the bill and having it processed. A pity because the location is excellent, the ambiance great and the food very good."
dined on 01/04/2014
I went to Cecconi's one afternoon.
It s quite a lovely place. I ordered minestrone soup that was really great and checked salad that was completely the opposite - it was literally terrible. I would hardly say it was grilled chicken in the salad."
dined on 01/04/2014
Had heard really good things about
this Restaraunt so booked it to take friends as a treat ... Got told we were too early when we arrived ! (20mins) happy to have a drink at bar.when we got seated it was 45 mins before our order was taken and we had to ask! 2 of the main courses were cold.1 went back and therefore had to eat seperatly ... I'm sure on another occasion it could have been a much better experience"
dined on 28/03/2014
I have dined here lots of times
and it has always been an experience. All the staff are excellent and very accommodating. The food is of the highest standards and well worth the payment. Thank You for yet again a wonderful meal."
dined on 23/03/2014
There is never a quiet moment
here... if its open its full and vibrant. Sometimes the service suffers a bit as a consequence but if you want somewhere with lots of atmosphere then this is the place to go... quiet romantic dinner, think again! Food is varied and always reliably good..."
dined on 20/03/2014
You'll not get much better than
this for ambiance, sevice, location and above all value. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, this restaurant will not disappoint. Don't be intimated by the clientele, yes it's full of good looking well dress people, however that's what makes it... The staff are fantastic, very polite, helpful and tentative. This is the jewel in the soho house groups crown. Long may it stay like it!"
dined on 18/03/2014
Would definitely return!
Highlights were the 'special' pasta starter and sea bass with clams and mussels.Service was great and atmosphere busy.A small piece of Italy in Mayfair."
dined on 17/03/2014
Really disappointed with the meal
we had here. Have been before and it was nice but this time the standard was very poor and the food very tasteless."
dined on 16/03/2014
Cecconi's is a great Italian in
the heart of Mayfair, which manages to main an element of affordability without sacrificing its quality or wow factor. It manages to mix authentic Italian cuisine with a classic Mayfair style, and the cocktail bar that is a major feature of the restaurant is a great way to sign off a very enjoyable evening. Recommended."
dined on 20/02/2014
Good to return to Cecconi's. Very
pleasant early evening dinner. Nothing amazingly innovative, but excellent, well prepared courses. The beef carpaccio and butternut squash ravioli were the highlights for us. Would certainly recommend here as a reliable place for well above average cooking at slightly less than average prices for such quality. Really rather specially good service- attentive without being obsequious or intrusive. Highly recommend as above."
dined on 10/03/2014
I had perfect Eggs Benedict at
Cecconi's, and the pink grapefruit was cut to perfection. The place was a bit empty though, despite having to go there quite early because apparently there was no more availability at a later time."
dined on 02/03/2014
We have been at Cecconi's a few
times before and have been happy. But this time everything was excellent, food, service - everything"
dined on 07/03/2014
We went with our children on a
late Friday afternoon for an early dinner before theatre. Quite crowdy... We had a very nice dinner in a nice but very noisy atmosphere. Food was excellent. Service was friendly but a little inefficient : we made our reservation at 17.30h in order to be well on time for theatre but due to the long waiting time, we nearly missed our show."
dined on 07/03/2014
He had a fantastic time. We booked
a table for 3 people, but the very last minute we had to add one more person and we had no problem at all. The service was good, though not as good as the food; which was excellent. He really enjoyed ourselves at Cecconi's."
dined on 01/03/2014
Dinner was good,crab Ravioli was
not the best but service made up for it. The ambience is wonderful!"
dined on 28/02/2014
The location and building are
excellent the atmosphere always busy and efficient. The food is good quality and produced consistently and service is slick and prompt. They serve a lot of covers in more than one sitting which is only possible with enough well trained professional staff. The Restaurant is not relying on reputation or location to maintain popularity."
dined on 27/02/2014
Simple flavours work better than
complex ones when the produce is top notch and the cooking is perfect. Baked cod was indeed perfect as was my friend's salmon. The chicken liver parfait was balanced perfectly with the right ratio of chutney and toast. The service here is always impeccable and they go the extra mile every time. My favourite for that. It's pricey but not outrageous in London. Trouble is I never want to leave so always spend a fortune. Oops."
dined on 26/02/2014
The food is fresh. And
outstanding, the service was very good"
dined on 25/02/2014
from the moment we stepped into
the restaurant we whete waited on hand and foot excellent service outstanding food i would definitely recommend 2 friends and family and would definitely go back for some fine food ."
dined on 13/02/2014
Great for taking a leisurely break
during a hectic shopping outing on nearby Regent Street. Best to sit at the bar and worth the wait."
dined on 18/01/2014
Had a nice buzz. Able to have a
conversation although it was busy on a Thursday evening. Food was good and well presented and good sized portions.Service (nicely) relaxed although a bit slow at times refilling the wine. Great for an upmarket get together on all occasions."
dined on 16/01/2014
Highly recommended restaurant. We
arrived early for our TT booking and were told that it would take between 10-30 minutes for a table (which we were happy to accept). Waited at the bar and had some drinks and nibbles but were surprised that the person who had promised us a table completely ignored us for the next hour, despite a couple of reminders (and they did have a few tables which were free). We got the feeling that they knew we would continue eating at the bar... Apart from that part of the evening, the food and service were excellent. Warning - main courses are generous in quantity (you don't usually hear that), so be careful not to eat too much bread beforehand! Would definitely visit again and hope that we are not ignored again."
dined on 07/01/2014
Cecconi's never disappoints.
Always a great place for fun lunch with excellent food and service."
dined on 10/01/2014
We always try to eat at Cecconi's
when in London. The menu is not the most varied and the food is good but not excellent but it does have the most wonderful staff, a great bar to sit at and watch the world go by and is well located in the heart of Mayfair. Not for everyone, but a must for us!"
dined on 28/12/2013
While the food was delicious, we
couldn't seem to get our waiter to notice us. It was very frustrating and distracted from the good meal."
dined on 27/12/2013
Cecconi's is one of those menu's
where my wife looks at it and says, I like everything on here. It's not challenging just very very good Italian food, well presented, great buzzy atmosphere and good value. Ending with good stable well done deserts. Everything that leads to a very enjoyable evening."
dined on 14/12/2013
We were celebrating a special
birthday - food was excellent. Had to wait a while for the table to be ready but we weren't asked to give up the table after 2 hours (which we had been advised at the time of booking). Good ambience. Highly recommended. Would definitely go again."
dined on 11/12/2013
Cecconis is consistent which is
why I always go. The food, service and ambience are all fabulous. Definitely a go-to place."
dined on 06/12/2013
Have always enjoyed Cecconis for
pre-work breakfast and after work drinks. However, food was extremely disappointing on this occasion - overly salted and dry mains, overly dressed salad and greasy frites. We mentioned this to our waiter, who did not seem too troubled by our concerns."
dined on 03/12/2013
Cecconi is my firm favorite dinner
or brunch the food and service is always excellent"
dined on 30/11/2013
Book before you go as I did. It
gets vey busy but still has outstand service and ambience."
dined on 30/11/2013
I've been a regular customer for
years. The food is great but the restaurant is just too noisy. They have never bothered to do anything about the sound problem they have and it just gets worse each time we visit. You can't actually talk to each other as it's simply too loud."
