Carmelite Bar & GrillA brilliant experience.Carmelite was brilliant. We went for the 'afternoon tea' with cocktails in tea pots. Brilliant idea. The cocktails were great and the food was lovely. I cannot eat food with gluten and when I asked if it would be possible to have gluten free products, I wholly expected just to have a meringue. I kid you not, I had a full on plate of goodies which were just lovely. We had also asked to swap some of the sandwiches for cheese sandwiches. This was not a problem either. Although the Carmelite was extremely busy and we didn't get a table in the actual restaurant we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. The food was very good especially the liver dish and the wine was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when a skinny latte coffee was served as a sherry latte!! A fresh coffee was made immediately and everyone saw the funny side. The table d'hote menu offered an excellent choice, and we actually felt that the quality of the food was as good as it has ever been here.
